- Hymns are notorious for being difficult to play on guitar. Typically because they were written a long time ago on piano, in a different style than music is written today. So when you look up a chord chart for a classic hymn on the internet, you will get a ton of chord transitions and really difficult chords, like Bbm7 & F#aug4, requiring you to contort your fingers in a miniature game of twister!
