Thank you for your question. We specify using dry tiles as some tilers will soak a tile in water before installation. This additional moisture in the tile can affect the integrity of the adhesive bond and is therefore not recommended practice. The doors will need to be adjusted to accommodate the new tile layer and the tile adhesive, whether you trowel the adhesive onto the surface, or if you back-butter the tile. We hope that answers your question, otherwise give us a call on 0860 000 TAL (825) for free technical advice.
Hi Benito, thank you for your comment. Rapidfix sets in 3 hours for light traffic whilst a full cure would take 6-8 hours. Our recommended best practice is to allow a bit more time for a full cure, especially considering the slurry coat, adhesive and new tiles will be applied on top of that. You want the best possible surface for your new installation after all.
Thanks for the video man .
Good job!
Can you tile over terracotta tiles
The paste is very thick. If the level of the floor is even, a thinner paste is sufficient.
313?
The world is full of stupid gentiles
Is this available in the Philippines?
You say place dry tile but what I were to back butter the tile would that cause any problem, because the doors will still have to be adjusted,?
