Buying a property in a low cost area, setting up a shed, is really nothing I regret - and is something I'd recommend for everyone. Going into year 3 now. I Spent quite alot of time the first year setting it all up - but now it's just running hassle-free. And the property price are stable (or even rising) so I expect to get that upfront investment money back whenever (if ever) I sell it.
For reference in the UK, best deal I can get is 23pence/27cents kWh + a daily cost 56p/68cents which is a rip to charge daily on top. when they do decrease the kWh they just add the reduction to the daily charge.
I have 7k watts of energy solar. It was the only real solution to keep me on the business, to bad we don't have a real candidate project that could replace ETH, that is what we are missing
Hydro is also a good source for power, only draw back is have a water source like a lake, stream or river but once up and running can power a home let alone a mining farm and all free power.
About a year ago my power company raised my rates and that's when I started planning a backyard solar farm. I have an Ecoflow Delta Pro Ultra with 16 400 watt panels connected with grid backup for power at night. My overall power rate is now about half of what the power company charges me.
Here in the midwest US it used to be 7 cents per kw/h. It has slowly crept up to now 13 cents. Still cheap on a global scale but nearly double what it was when I mined.
Its super tough times at the moment! Im based in the UK and there's no real way of getting electricity cheaper than what I've done so far. Hoping for a miracle and sudden rate drops for everybody in the future!
I was reading where you can buy a special cable for 120v and attach it to an Antminer. Supposedly if you disconnect one of the boards you can attach that cable then plug it into a 110v outlet. do you have a video on this or know a video of a how to?
I have been brainstorming issue with powet...here is what I came up with. Cat-tricity. We create a machine that pets cats and creates and harnesses the static electricity. .oh a hamster style wheel that cats can run on. U get 12 cats, 4 wheels and turbines and put em to work
we pay 76 euro cent per kw/h, this includes tax, transport fees, daily fixed fee for having an electricity connection, co2 emission tax (yes another tax), carbon storage tax (yes, yet another tax).
Go do some hosting. Mining from home doesn't make sense at all. Crypto mining should not be done at home unless you're doing it for a hobby. Metered Mining and Musk Miners is what I would recommend. Metered Mining is $0.08 kw/h for asics and $0.09 kw/h for gpus. Musk miners is $0.08kw/h.
@SebsFinTechChannel welcome back, can you do a new video for GPU mining in 2025? I been out of the loop since the merge. I have time to start mining agin.
i am new to mining space and bought 2 L9 16 ghz and hosted it, but what I am observing is the output vs hashrate has gone down, was planning to buy more L9 but stopped because of that ratio, did I make the right decision? as an experienced miner would love your thoughts on this

@@MiningWithCarl I’m so glad to hear I didn’t miss-remember. 😅 Year 3, so epic. Definitely looking to do something similar.

Solar! Solar! Solar! Batteries!!
no no no, to run a big gpu farm you'd need to drop $100K or more to get started on that.

Hoes does the return from staking rewards compare with the cost effectiveness of mining PoW tokens?

USD 0.124 per kwh here in Thailand
Powered all off and sold everything at 0.17, statistics show that is better to buy the coins.
Come to Spain, solar + batteries and also super strong and safe network with 0.12 cent per kWh prices wildy available

So no cheap power in 'Fintech' land eh? I really assumed that with the name of the channel you had like cheap geothermal power energy rates.
Mining now Is not Profitable
Mining just for Content UA-cam👎
Damn dude, sorry to hear that
go to asia , check the power rate there. such as thailand, vietnam, etc
Man I got curious about the shed thing, let’s talk
Just sell all those GPU's and recover some of your investment and call it. It's not worth mining anymore.
I got it worse than you my rate is at .24 cents. Nyc rates I only running one octominer for now
