  • Maytag bravos Mct however this fix could also work for...
    Whirlpool Cabrio
    Kenmore Elite Oasis
If UL and F51 Codes appear check for...
An unbalanced or overloaded wash drum.
    An unlevel washer.
A loose rotor lock bolt (this video)
Items stuck in between inner and outer drum .
Bad suspension rods (if you're washer actually bangs around and the tub wobbles this is probably your fix)
    Check for severly bad bearings.
    Check all wiring connections.
Check for a cracked stator housing.
Try replacing these parts in this order...
Suspension rods (if tub wobbles during spin)
Bearings (if drum is loud when you spin by hand)
    RPS sensor
    Stator (if damage is found)
    Main control board

If you see the bolt loose and leaking you have failed bearings and the seal is worn out.

You are half correct. This was almost a year ago so looking at this video I don’t remember what the water was from it must’ve been something I did because i didn’t seem alarmed by it in the video.
I ended up tightening it but the problem came back again until I put new blue thread locker on the bolt.
Her bearings weren’t in terrible shape but they were becoming worn and had a slight roar to them.
Looking back to this I did inform her of the bearing issue and that she would need to change them over the coming months.
I remember she was quite reluctant to do so and wasn’t very trusting of me working on her machine even questioning me when I took the control panel off to have a quick look at the connections saying “isn’t it on the bottom?!?!” since she was someone I knew I made almost nothing. Nonetheless I haven’t received any callbacks since the threadlocker.
