Omg my baby is of mixed race and her hair is thick and wavy and is as long if not longer than this young lady in this video. Also she is extremely tenderhearted 😡😡😡😡But once i washed her hair with a good shampoo but it had sulphates and parabens in it and lawd her hair locked up in 3 big dreadlocks. I had to cut her hair in order to seperate some pieces comb yank scream and repeat. I was ready to cut it off. It took me all of 20 hours to get it where i could do anything with it. I figured it out about sulphates and parabens being the problem finally 😢 what i then started to do was comb her hair out before washing. Part it in fours and braid each section in big plats and wash it like that. I did it like that so her hair wouldnt dread up and i say dread for a lack of a better word. Then i unbraid each plat oil it and use a light leave in and do what ever style she wants . But its a process i dread, no pun intended, 😅 having to do. Is there any products or method you can suggest to make her and my life easier? If i was in Florida i would be camped outside yoyr salon begging you for help😅😅😅😅😅

I know it might be a generational thing or maybe something you might struggle with personally but if her detangling methods concern you and you like everything else about her then you would want to consider communicating your needs clearly, instead of just saying that she wouldn’t be able to come near your hair. A good stylist will listen and accommodate your tender scalp and any other needs. Communication is always key.
The girl said she was comfortable, I'm about to be 72,long-haired and tender head too. I do my own hair, and I use a detangler. But when I go to the hairdresser, I know what to expect. My mom had 6 girl's a lot of hair,waked with the brush and comb,jerked my head to turn around. Krystal gently compared to my mom,plus the burns😅
Ma’am I’m with you 😂 I’m also very tenderheaded, and she does appear to be heavy handed ( honestly I think most stylist are). Also that brush is supposed to be a really gentle detangler BUT it’s made of lightweight plastic so I think the sound of the plastic thru the hair makes it look and sound worse than it is! The brush is called an Unbrush (made popular on social media), I don’t own one. Take care 🖤
