She came to you because the stylists she came in contact with: 1) didn’t want to do her hair, 2) charged an unreasonable amount, or 3) when she paid their required price; she wasn’t satisfied in with the service she received from the stylist. This is the reason why she tried to do her own hair at home. It’s hard finding a good stylist these days. You make your customers feel comfortable in knowing when they leave your chair; their hair will be easy to manage and beautiful. Great job.
Fabulous!
Incredible work and so enjoyable to watch.
@@ccf8093 I knew it; because if you have long hair some stylist don’t want to do your hair. Don’t cut your hair like I did; I regret it now. Just get your trims on time as recommended by Crystal.
It takes work to get a great stylist and routine. But when you do, its worth it.
This is why I just went freeform locs, I had waist length hair and could never afford what it costs to do something to it, and the DIY just wasn’t working out either I needed to reclaim my time!
Having a client travel hours to see you, having a client wait weeks to see you, having a client refuse services from other stylists, having a client drag her entire family in to meet you, having a client sit in your waiting room in case you can take her as a walk-in...honestly those are the biggest compliments that you can get as a stylist, and that's when you know you're good!
Beautiful
Imprecionada de como ficaram esses cabelos,,,maravilhosos,,,parabéns a essa profissional,
Ficou uma seda,,,,,deve custar caro,,mas compensa,,a cliente sai do salão uma estrela,,,,
so glad you didn’t chop it off like a lot of stylists do when they are presented with a full head of hair. Nice job!
Boy-you just prove that a stylist works HARD for their living! You sure did a great job on her hair!
It never cease to amaze me how a cut/trim can make a huge difference in how the hair behave..amazing job as always
Awesome job. Where are you located at
This is so freeing! I am chronically ill, and I can tell you our hair goes through everything with us, only it saves the experiences like a scrapbook. Flares of my autoimmune disease are marked in my hair like rings in a tree stump. I'm an expert at faking a look, but even if hair looks good on the outside, cutting off 8 years of mistakes and bad energy can be extremely liberating, both physically and emotionally. This was amazing to watch.
This is the first video I’ve seen where people acknowledge the damage Keratin treatments can do on a person’s hair. I did one about 8 years ago and I actually went to a salon to do it. It was great at first, but then I noticed my hair would tangle like crazy and I was like never again. It took about 4 years to get that mess out of my hair and the only way was to get constant hair cuts.
I’m having the exact same issue!!
My hair started breaking like crazy after just one treatment. That stuff us only good for Asian hair.
Yes , I did the same thing with too much protein , it was so hard and dry , now even though it’s all grown out , my hair is still protein sensitive
Does this apply to the shampoo's with keratin, because I use the ogx keratin oil shampoo and conditioner, but I feel like something is off as well.
I know some people who had to transition after a keratin. although it’s promoted to be temporary they said their hair didn’t revert and was very dry and breaking
You did a great job with her hair. One thing I can't stand is unnecessary cutting, and the amount of hair you cut without adding unnecessary layers was well done. You helped her to maintain length while improving its overall health and integrity. I love it!
Crystal, have you considered creating a hair Care academy? You would be beyond successful you have a higher calling I can see you educating many stylists world wide.
Yes, she would be an excellent educator. I hope she does start an academy.
I can’t believe it’s the same head of hair. You are a magician. Changing up a hairstyle and fixing the issues women struggle with is EVERYTHING. It makes a difference in someone’s life. Thanks for what you do.
I have literally learned way more about caring for my hair from black women than I ever did growing up white... Especially with a flaky scalp and growing my hair out, even though it's super straight. My hair is so thick that it literally pops my neck when it hits my shoulder blades, and "don't manipulate too much" was a godsend for tangles.
Facts girl! My family doesn't put anything in their hair. Lotions and oils aren't a thing either.
Me too! I have Caucasian hair. Learning so much.
Same! 😅
we are all vulnerable in the hands of a hairdresser, its the same thing all over the world. I know we all need moisture, at least! yes, these ladies are in a different league when it comes to hair care!! 💯🙏👐
Same here ive learned more from watching there hair videos my hair thick and curly with a course feel to it
It's not just about styling, it's about care for someones hair and love making your customers comfortable, happy ,and getting their money worth. 😊
I did a keratin treatment at the salon on my fine, natural hair and my hair FELL OUT over time! I had really long bra strap length hair with lots of hair strands and now you can see through to my scalp, it has beet devastating. It is growing back but what a tough lesson to learn!!!! Your client is lucky that she still has hair after a keratin treatment. Your client hair is beautifully done!!!
@plmcrn
Feel for you-TRULY. I too went through something similar. Last November went to throughly incompetent “stylist” who over-treated hair-which started shedding from the root 🚩within days! Was completely devastated, yet took responsibility for choosing so poorly (long story, there were red 🚩flags everywhere), being so cheap, stubborn, & not heeding the warnings.
Luckily my hair grows quickly, so the bald spots have grown out about 3 inches, and most of the damage can be hidden with parting & clipping. Still I SWORE OFF EVER setting foot into a salon again, UNTIL I saw Crystal’s videos…SHE’s HIGHLY SKILLED, PROFESSIONAL, & HAS SOLUTIONS when problems arise. Have already decided a trip to MCO will be in my future!
You just performed a miracle! That lady's hair went from frizz to schzizzz🔥🔥! So smart of you not cutting her entire length! She needs to enjoy that beautiful crown! Then later on, should she want to go shorter do it to it! AMAZING! You are one gifted hair care professional! ❤️
Everyone always asks me why I have my hair trimmed so often. This video demonstrates beautifully why it is important to trim the ends. Trim trim trim. Love your work, and I love how reassuring you are to your clients.
I am a huge believer of trims, and am not afraid to cut what must be cut. I 100% think trimming as needed, instead of waiting prolonged periods of time, is one of the reasons why I’m able to retain so much length. In fact, I did a trim last night (only the tips because that’s what I needed), and my hair feels great.
Her hair looks so soft. I'm always a bit sad seeing the curls disappear. I'm so in love with all the volume and personality the curly hair has.
You do beautiful work.
I did a reset cut recently and my hair was just a little shorter than hers. I loved it. A lot of people were like "why would you cut so much off?" but now they feel it and they get it.
Girlll, the HATE i got when I cut mine back to shoulder length 😂. Mama disowned me and everything. But when I asked if they wanted to take care of my hair...🤐.
@@NeekkeKayla it's crazy how people act over hair when it's not even theirs
@@sillycheese301 they’re projecting. Wishing they had long hair and can’t understand why someone would cut it off. Damaged or not, it’s hair and it will grow back (unless you have a medical condition obviously).

CRYSTAL'S HANDS ARE GIFTED!! SHE CAN DO ANYBODY'S HAIR IN ANY CONDITION AND MAKE IT LOOK FABULOUS!! I HAVE BEEN WATCHING HER FOR MANY YEARS NOW AND I CAN SAY SHE IS AN AMAZING STYLIST, HAIR DRESSER ,PERSON, MOM, & TEACHER OF COSMOTOLOGY!!!! GO CRYSTAL GO!!!😁👍
Her hair looks amazing. Yes, the cut made a huge difference. And no she really didn't lose a lot of her length.
You did a great job! That hair cut literally gave her hair new life.
Beautiful haircut she still has a lot of hair her hair will grow out longer and healthy good job
What an amazing transformation! That hair! It looks so soft! I have a crazy combination of coarse and kinky and medium curls. Your technique to de-tangle her hair using that cocktail got me thinking about trying it on my hair. You truly are an artist! Stay safe and healthy out there! Thank you for sharing a part of your day with us!
I’m white and had my hair dresser do a keratin treatment. Fried my hair,I have curly very fine hair. A lot of hairdressers don’t know how to deal with curly hair. I enjoyed watching you and seeing her hair. My hair soak’s up moisture. I can not put it on my scalp though. Her hair was absolutely beautiful!! And it’s hard to find a good hairdresser.when you find one it doesn’t matter how far you have to go to get to her 😀
lol I was asking my stylist about moisturizing treatments and all she could offer me was a type of keratin treatment, I was like "fuck no". Imo a lot of stylists don't know how to deal with any type of texture that isn't straight (even if they themselves have textured hair), if the hair isn't super flat and silky then it must be damaged...
@@brooklynsbaby4367 This is exactly why I stopped going to salons. Every single one has f*cked up my hair, and they all had type 4 like me. I‘be been doing my own hair for years now, and it’s doing just fine.
@@tiahnarodriguez3809 Glad it's been working for you! I've been doing my own too and I've noticed that even if I fuck up a little, it's never as bad a stylist's fuck up 🤣
@@brooklynsbaby4367 I'm white too and have 2a hair on my top red section and wavy2b/c underneath I go to a dual licenced black barber who went to cosmetology school too he's the best stylist I've ever had -I'm never going back to anyone else !!
@@ah5721 That's great, you can tell good stylist appreciate hair! There aren't any curly salons in my country or none that i'm aware of, at least :( There was this stylist that I loved but she is often traveling, she really understood wavy hair - why it looks and acts the way it does. Though at this point i'm afraid to visit her too :d
I love watching the process of a hairstyle! Seeing someone's hair go from damaged to healthy is so satisfying! Great job!
I know exactly what you were dealing with. My mothers hair is just like that, and she won’t let it go!!!
You are Amazing! I really like the way you explain everything in your voice over!!
I have been doing hair for 23 years and I love the fact that u hi ahead and trim what needs to be trimmed I'm so tired of watching these hair stylist act like they are afraid instead of educating their clients on the key to healthy hair
Beautiful her hair is truly beautiful, you would never know it’s the same lady you started with.
You are amazing hairstylist with magical fingers, perfect. From Nottingham in the UK ❤️❤️❤️❤️
There’s a woman on UA-cam that had long hair like your client, maybe even longer, and she put some type of protein or keratin treatment on her hair and it literally turned her hair into one big dread. She ended up cutting it all off. The results on your client is beautiful.
@@ccf8093 Yes, it turned out great. I’m glad she was able to save your hair. Beautiful.
@@meganbee. are u talking about curly hair crisis? If so my heart dropped when i watched her vid 🥺😵💫! I love the results in this video 2 !
@@huniluv26 Yes!!
Yes,I know who u are talking about. I used a protein treatment one time and it matted my hair too
Watching this just saved me- I was literally going to get a keratin treatment today!!!
This is beautiful, and I appreciate that the stylist respected the length of the cut. It hurts my spirit when I see stylist over cut someone's length. ✨🙏🏽
Just looking at her ends before you flat ironed I could tell that they just don't look right. i can't stand when my ends tangle so I always get them cut off!! Also you are a champion for dealing with all that hair that kept tangling!! A lot of people have long hair but even they don't want to deal with it.
Crystal - thank you so very much for this important and informative video. I am white and have been watching many of these videos on hair care for black women. It really helps to understand the extra challenges black women have with hair care as well as the extra expenses incurred in their hair care.
With communication comes understanding. Thank you!
Her hair looks amazing!
I appreciate your candor. You obviously care enough to learn. That’s wonderful. We have, sadly, come to a point where we are afraid to ask questions of each other. Growth comes from curiosity and that brings knowledge which ushers in positive change. God bless you, truly.
Race is irrelevant
You sound silly.
Not even BW has "challenges" 😂😂
@@titanstorage7104that's actually the wrong attitude.
Oh man, this video made me smile. I grew up in a beauty shop (that's what we called it, Mary Ann's Beauty Shop). It was my Mom's shop and it was in our basement. Your black sink brought it all back to me. I loved her little set up. Blond wood cabinet with black sink, counter and accents. She was Italian and had perfect, soft curls. I was italian, German and English and she blamed my fine, frizzy, puffball hair on the English side, lol. I heard that all the time. All those products she tried on me. She used gigantic pink curlers and perm solution to try to straighten it out for me because it was the 70's and my friends had long, straight perfect 70's hair. Didn't work for too long, My curls do what they want. Crystal's hair was just gorgeous. I'm subscribing to you Miss. I hope your business keeps booming!
Thanks for sharing this memory. In the small town I’m from we still call them beauty shops 😅 I can only imagine wanting the 70s pin straight look. How fun it must have been to have grown up in mom’s salon.
WOW 👏 Her hair after is absolutely beautiful 😍 I KNOW she left feeling like a 👸
You work some magic. So glad you kept the integrity of her long hair. You did not cut too much. It’s respectful because she has beautiful hair and has been growing it. Great job.
I think that was the most beautiful hair I've ever seen. I loved her curls, but yes, ends (several inches) had to go and your restoration and rejuvenation was amazing. Styling her hair as you did revealed just how much you brought her hair back.
I have learned so much about black women's hair! It helps me to appreciate their beauty.Thank you for sharing these videos.
It's not about race.
You did an amazing job on her hair! It looks beautiful & healthier!
that was almost a healing experience. gorgeous!!!!
I finally cut my hair after three years and my hair has been less tangled, then before!
Sometimes a good cut is just needed, while your trying to grow your hair out!
You do beautiful work and know your products. Where are you located?
White girl here who loves your vids! You're an absolute hair magician! I wish I could have you do something with my hair. Thank you for sharing your talents with us😊
Nobody cares what race you are!!!
That doesn't make your opinion more valuable! Get over yourself.

@@meghanmisaliarstop trolling. We’re all here to learn and enjoy the incredible talent this stylist has.
@@lindsayb7811 no Karen. Telling the truth.
I skipped my regular trim in January because I had an event last week and my edges were a mess so I was prepared for the big trim, but it still hurt because I have been doing so good with my hair! But just like this young lady I was very satisfied with the results!
Stop wearing those braids . I can see in your profile your edges are still a mess . Black women don’t learn
I always fast forward these hair makeover videos to the end, but I can’t do that with your videos because you drop so much wisdom and knowledge.
You did such a beautiful job on her hair❤️…
It amazes me just how different hair can be. My hair is nothing like this, and requires entirely different maintenance, but I still learn when watching your videos.
Truly love the care and time you put into her hair and also the realization that though it looked great after the Silk out, she still needed a cut to achieve a healthier state - you are truly about you work!!!
I appreciate that you consult and listen to your clients wants and give them what they need. This client walked out of your salon with the knowledge and care her hair needed . Amazing services Crystal.
Literally every stylist does consultations.
Looks beautiful 🤩 I’m a white girl with European hair, and I’ll never moan about my hair again! I’m so jealous, Crystal’s hair rocks! You did such a caring job! Much love from Scotland 🏴❤️ x

She has some beautiful hair. I love watching you doing people hair. You do a really good job. Keep up the good work.
Hi from Australia 🇦🇺
Omg what a transformation, the lady's hair looked so beautiful. Awesome video ♥️
You never seem to amaze me. I'm going to make that 12hr drive just to sit in your chair. I love your work & I watch all your videos.
I love getting my hair washed at the salon. So relaxing. Kind of relaxing just to watch it too.
WOW I can see why she was so happy with the result. Most of us have tried different things with hair products that haven't worked out. What an amazing work you've done. 🥰
You are a remarkable hairstylist, your care, knowledge, is second to none, who wouldn't travel 2hrs to receive a 1st class treatment , love to watch you, keep up the good work.👍♥️ From Frances uk
Lots of tlc given, which is shining through on her finished style 💁🏽♀️Great job👏🏽👏🏽
Incredible amount of work that showed your skills and talent! I too have Caucasian hair (grey) and have always loved watching hairdressers 😊
I am in my 60's and my hair is the same length. I am getting five or more inches taken off. I was natural for many years, but relaxed my hair. It's nice to brush to my scalp again. Excellent job!
This is incredible! You're amazing!
I loved the video. You care about healthy hair. That’s why I follow you. Her hair came out beautifully. Unlike most I’m not scared of a hair cut. Damage hair needs to come off. If you take care of your hair length will come.
A true professional! Explains the cause of damage, looks for solutions, verbally walks client through process and delivers an amazing end result!! Bravo!!
You Re not just an artist but you're a hair doctor too! Amazing work!
The difference in her hair is amazing.
Your genuine care for the person *and* their hair really shines through in your videos. I can hear how much you value education by all that you share as you explain your process, and the warmth in your voice when you shared that people drive hours and even fly to experience your skill-- you are truly changing lives by following your passion. You're inspirational to watch and learn from!
I cannot stress how much I respect your talent and intelligence.
The hair process was through her hair really looked healthy and beautiful!!! Loved the process!!👍🏾👍🏾❤️❤️🔥🔥
Her hair is completely stunning. I bet she feels amazing
Beautiful transformation. Her hair now looks healthy. Very shiny. Great work!
Now her hair is beautiful AND healthy 👏🏾👏🏾
I knew you'd slay that hair. You're a great beautician! When people come to you they are confident! I live in Houston, TX & my hair is natural. I don't recall seeing any natural hair styles videos. I normally see your silk presses.
Thanks for sharing your work with us. I started doing my own hair & a few friends' hair while in college in the late 90s & early 2000.
Crystal, you built up your triceps and biceps on this job! Just getting down each 'orange wedge' of hair, oh my God!!
I clipped my ends today. I had no idea what I was doing. I cut about an inch off. I can't get to a stylist right now. So I did it. And my hair does look good. I'm pretty sure when I get to a stylist she'll have to make it even. But as usual you did fabulous!!
I’m Asian and watching this I can only say how amazingly talented and informative you are and customer’s hair looked so beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
You're a miracle worker. Thanks for sharing!
Crystal, her hair is just out of sight you did get great love you
I can see this video was definitely meant for me. I’m sharing it with my daughter who is early in her career as a stylist/Beautican. I’m going to her for the first time with the same dryness and damaged ends. I’m a Mom with grey natural hair. She will have a time moisturizing and detangling my hair, I’m sure but I will tell her about your products you mention here. Oh yes, she will trim it for me also. You have great skills. Thank you. I love watching your videos.
I’m so obsessed with watching these beautiful women and their beautiful hair
I sincerely wish we would have learned more about curly hair at my beauty school. Thank you so much for making videos!
Ma'am you are an artist, watching you always makes me want to be sitting in your chair, amazing, her hair is stunning.
Her hair looks stunning. I really love how you explain everything, I don't attempt anything on my hair myself cause it would look like a 5 year-old did it. I really appreciate the skill of stylists and do appreciate how you explain things.
Bless you. Good job. “Her hair. Her choice.” Love it.

Oh her hair is just gorgeous! She needed that cut bad! 💕
You did a wonderful job it's looks so healthy the cut was needed, her hair length is goals.

So beautiful, I'm longing to have such a fantastic hair care job
Your KNOWLEDGE and HANDS are AMAZING!❤😊
Beautiful, you're truly a haircare master
Her hair is absolutely beautiful.
You did an amazing job on detangling the client's hair. My tangle ends is one huge problem for me. It's terrible the time it takes for me to detangle and comb through my hair.
You did an excellent job shampooing and conditioning her hair. I also, like the way you cut her hair. I think her hair is amazing.
I need to make an appointment with you! I live in Ga. but will gladly fly/drive to Fl for a consultation! Gorgeous hair!
Great cut, advice, and knowledge!
This young, beautiful woman will never regret the four hour round trip drive she made to have you 'fix' her hair. I strongly suspect you have gained yourself a longterm customer. You perform miracles.
That was a real challenge......great job making her hair beautiful.
I watch so many of these informative videos! If only you were in or visiting Phoenix, AZ. I am in need of a hair care professional. But all I find are stylists 😫
Girl! I got so fed up looking for a haircare professional. These stylists charging $75-$85 for a flat iron BUT saying they don't detangle! Soooo you don't wash my hair??? And I'm supposed to pay you $75-$85 and do everything myself?! I ended up doing my own hair and trimming my own ends. I'll be driving back to Cali to my old stylist next time.
Beautiful! Her finished hair was gorgeous.
You did a fantastic job!
My niece had beautiful long hair and her mom put something in her hair when she was in 2nd grade and it took a decade or more to get it back. In the late eighties early nineties there weren't many products for hair, I know it was hard for her.
