Good For You ! I'm a JB Hunt driver, on the Amazon account, who just got a call about an opening at another account I'm going to transfer too. I want tell you a couple of opinions I have that you mentioned about management on the Amazon account. Management knows only 1 thing for Amazon, give them whatever they want in the operation, they call the shots regardless how crazy they are in running the operation. They look to the driver to be the facilitator, for the mistakes they make in the operation. They change runs while your driving, with no communication of the changes from dispatch. I don't like the early arrival time, then have to wait over 2 hours for the departure trailer, that's going to put you up against your 14 hour day to complete the run schedule. They cancel loads at departure times to give to contract drivers, or an Amazon driver. "But hey it's Amazon" so everyone just deals with it. LOL So I'm hear till after Thanksgiving, then on to another account that's based closer to where I live in Indiana. Good Luck To You, and Stay Safe We Are Champions !

I'm trying to get on the trucking but its slow for me due to my situation. Mainly because money is tight and the amount of stuff I have to do just to get a class A permit in the state of Kentucky. I already have my class B's, so the good thing is, I don't have to take general knowledge again under the state of Kentucky but everything else, cost and I have to take some sort of "pre-test" driving course or something like that. Makes zero sense to me but I'll cross that road when I get there.

If you really want to get to the money in trucking get your Hazmat and the rest of your adorsements! Most Hazmat tankers are making 3000 a week and most of them are home every day because they drive day cabs! Or Doubles and triples that run hazmat also make pretty good!

Yup, JB hunt has better equipment and the smaller sleeper makes it easy to maneuver. I left for a closer job with a different company and I know the breakdown mechanic. My new job is raggedy.

Everybody doesn't get that amount of pay weekly although some may be treated like they're all materialistic and money hungry. Your life's responsibility and circumstances are not even like it's about "Ballin" as much as some promote. Long as you still get an education and learn some things important to your trade, God's view from actually reading and researching the scriptures 1st. Avoid people that'll use you and throw you away when you know too much. I'm sure there's good people in your life, a real support system that's present for you. You listen to wisdom and well wishes to you youngin. I enjoyed it under good management, certain contracts on dedicated as well. Also how do your vlogs record yourself and display your phone screen?!? That's pretty neat :)

That's got me nervous now lol I just took a job at 2500 week salary but with sliding pay scale so I make more if the truck makes more and home 2 days a week but I'm not w2 and have to put back my own taxes so trying to figure out how much to put back each week and going off your numbers if I put back what they take out on your checks ill technically be making about the same so now im a little discouraged.
Yes they do, my checks be good but taxes overdo it for me. I’m pretty sure every body taxes different. Hope you able least bring home 2k and congratulations on the job. How you liking everything so far? And don’t get discouraged just figure you out a system or take good amount out so you don’t owe. You got mature/discipline for that type of pay.

The load is hit or miss if you choose % pay and they have you sit too much if you mileage. Where I’m at is good if you just starting out like me they will give you a good training and no micro managing.

How long have you been a truck driver? Also, I have had my CDLs for about 2 months going on 3, and I have yet to start driving for a company, and the only reason is training is usually around 650 for these companies. I called Prime and the training is 1000.00 a week but they told me they don't have enough trainers. Can you help me?
I been driving 6 months and all I can say is you gotta suck it up. Chasing money in the beginning gone be hard with no driving experience. Take that $650 get some experience or goto prime but only way you get experience is driving so good luck on finding a company.
Why don’t you like Per diem pay? I hear that’s it’s beneficial especially for tax reasons I’m just curious because Im considering it as a new driver but why not? What’s your take on per diem?
I heard more bad then good like it really don’t help driver. I even watched few UA-cam video. I was a new driver thought same thing but I heard so much more so I did my research.
I believe Per Diem is better when a Corporation or and LLC can write it off. There is no benefit to the recipient. All it does is place you in a less tax bracket. It’s really setup for Business to write it off as a tax deduction. 😊
No refrigerator but yes to apu watt level is very low doe unless my refrigerator I brought to big but it’s pretty small and apu always on yellow or red.

Spilt schedule work 6 off 1 work 4 off 3 but you get sent home every other day. So I start in KY then goto MI then go back KY then get sent back out. So you can actually go home every other day if you want. If that make sense.

Don't work for Amazon you'll be contracted! All the trucks you see that have Amazon's logos on them are Contract workers amazon is just like fedex! All the work is Contracted out so Amazon doesn't have any liability they just put their logo on the side of the trucks! The only way I would work with Amazon is if I'm a Amazon partner basically the people that own the trucks! But to be a Amazon partner you have to have 40000 up front and they'll give you a truck! But I believe Amazon makes all their partners put cameras in the trucks and govern them at 63 mph... And this is only for day cabs If you want to be a Amazon partner and get a sleeper with them you gonna have to spend more than 40000!
Hey sister@@TruckingWithKayla, Here is an idea, hold on on buying that Escalade, put that money to use on buying yourself a truck that will make you at least four times the money you are making right now, by doing the same thing that you are doing. You could get your own authority and have your loads straight from Amazon via Relay. Why work for JB Hunt, when you can become JB Hunt? As far as The service partners are concerned, I would not prefer it, better than what I mentioned above, but you will still make more money than what you are making right now. But, why pay Amazon truck lease money when you could own your own truck with the $40 Grand they require you to have to lease trucks with Amazon logos? FYI: The service partners are not required to put inward facing cameras, but if you drive for Amazon as a company driver, or if you run their vans as delivery service partner, you will deal with inward facing cameras.

That’s a good pay in this market. I do flatbed and the most I grossed was $2000 a week but I’m home every weekend. What’s the home time like?
I was looking get into flatbed to make more. Yes I’m off every weekend then every other week off Thursday. It’s very easy account.

How long have you been a truck driver? Also, I have had my CDLs for about 2 months going on 3, and I have yet to start driving for a company, and the only reason is training is usually around 650 for these companies. I called Prime and the training is 1000.00 a week but they told me they don't have enough trainers. Can you help me?
I been driving 6 months and all I can say is you gotta suck it up. Chasing money in the beginning gone be hard with no driving experience. Take that $650 get some experience or goto prime but only way you get experience is driving so good luck on finding a company.
Normally when they don’t have enough trainers, it’s a waiting game.

I heard more bad then good like it really don’t help driver. I even watched few UA-cam video. I was a new driver thought same thing but I heard so much more so I did my research.

I believe Per Diem is better when a Corporation or and LLC can write it off. There is no benefit to the recipient. All it does is place you in a less tax bracket. It’s really setup for Business to write it off as a tax deduction. 😊

No refrigerator but yes to apu watt level is very low doe unless my refrigerator I brought to big but it’s pretty small and apu always on yellow or red.

That’s inaccurate. Knight is a starter company. They hire with 0 experience. I guessing every state is different

Every company I apply for they ask online or on the phone about tickets, suspension or accident. So just let them ask.

Yes they are and yes it’s regional. You home every other day because they send you out then back to your starting location.

Spilt schedule work 6 off 1 work 4 off 3 but you get sent home every other day. So I start in KY then goto MI then go back KY then get sent back out. So you can actually go home every other day if you want. If that make sense.

It’s spilt schedule. I work 6 day one week then 4 days next. It repeats. You can go home every other day cause they send you out then send you back home. It’s somewhat regional.

All the trucks you see that have Amazon's logos on them are Contract workers amazon is just like fedex! All the work is Contracted out so Amazon doesn't have any liability they just put their logo on the side of the trucks!
The only way I would work with Amazon is if I'm a Amazon partner basically the people that own the trucks!
But to be a Amazon partner you have to have 40000 up front and they'll give you a truck!
But I believe Amazon makes all their partners put cameras in the trucks and govern them at 63 mph... And this is only for day cabs If you want to be a Amazon partner and get a sleeper with them you gonna have to spend more than 40000!

Hey sister@@TruckingWithKayla, Here is an idea, hold on on buying that Escalade, put that money to use on buying yourself a truck that will make you at least four times the money you are making right now, by doing the same thing that you are doing. You could get your own authority and have your loads straight from Amazon via Relay. Why work for JB Hunt, when you can become JB Hunt?
As far as The service partners are concerned, I would not prefer it, better than what I mentioned above, but you will still make more money than what you are making right now. But, why pay Amazon truck lease money when you could own your own truck with the $40 Grand they require you to have to lease trucks with Amazon logos?
FYI: The service partners are not required to put inward facing cameras, but if you drive for Amazon as a company driver, or if you run their vans as delivery service partner, you will deal with inward facing cameras.
