I mean PG at that point had his mind set. He wanted a chance to go big and win and sadly it wasn't with the Thunder. At least the Thunder got a King's Ransom of a haul and you also have a GM who LOVES gambling in the draft. He managed to pick out 3 MVP players to set up the 2010 OKC decade from the draft so I'm willing to hedge my bets he finesses his way to more all-star talent.

Great perspective. I didn't pay attention much to him last season but I figured this season as a starter and given more responsibilities as a scorer/ball handler that he would have more body of work to break down his game. He is definitely reaching a part of his game where he is a versatile offensive back court weapon where playoff teams would LOVE to add him to be able to put the ball on the floor. But yeah he still has to work on some parts of his game to crack that top 20 player list. Even if doesn't turn to an elite defensive player that length he has is still useful overall. I think he can put a bit more size to get closer to 200 and be strong enough. But he will never be someone like a Marcus Smart where he's switch friendly.

As a Thunder fan I can't tell you how exciting it is to have SGA on the team. I think CP3 is the perfect vet to play beside, and don't think Russ would've given him as much control. The Thunder run plays this year, unlike before when Russ and PG just did as they wish without nearly as many set plays. Their 3 guard lineup with CP3, SGA and Schröder is legit. Having 3 high IQ players on the same lineup is hard to defend against.

I would love to see a video like this but on a team, Denver. Jokic is one of my 3 favourite players, and Nuggets are fun to watch. But there are some interesting facts about them and I'm very curious what you think about that. They are one of the best defensive teams, but their offense even though is better lately, is slow paced. Actually they might be last in pace in the league. My theory is that their best offensive player is Jokic, and he is their worst perimeter defender, so he focuses a lot on closing out on shooters and trying to play good pnr defense which than makes him a little bit passive as a scorer and playmaker this year. His phisical deficiencies do not help either. And, might they be better off playing a little faster and focus more on scoring than defending? Great channel btw, big fan from Serbia

When are you going to do a third year review of Donovan Mitchell, who is working to improve on all the things you rightly criticized him for. Personally, I hope you do it later in the season, but I also hope that this sort of review is on your radar. He's improved his defense (this assumption is based entirely on Coach Q being happy with his efforts), he's working on being able to contest big men on switches, he's improved his efficiency (so far) and improved his mid range jumper which you said needed it be money. Most importantly, he's working on his vision to be able to find his teammates. All young player improve over time even if it's only a little bit. What's your opinion. Is the Spida taking steps, strides or leaps?

Thank for talking about SGA I felt since he was drafted that he’ll be next Giannis not unstoppable MVP but a lengthy player who can improve to be a beast in so happy he’s killing the league so early

PG was more injured this year than anyone expected. He might have had one MVP voting quality season last year and thats it. SGA in the same spot as Mitchell, Siakim, Ingram Brown and Tatum. Lots of time to grow and already showing great flashes.

I’ll be honest I forgot that SGA was not a very good defender at first. Now he’s one of the most disruptive defenders on the perimeter with that wingspan and can hold his own down low. That had to be dort helping him out

Once you start doing rookies again, could you take a look at Darius Garland? He’s started off slow, but has become a much more consistent shooter and passer as the season has gone on. I think he can still reach that Damian Lillard ceiling that has been set for him, but I want to know what you think too.

Literally yelled in celebration that my man Shai is getting some attention
I had him as the 2nd best guard in his draft (behind Luka) and think he can become one of the most versatile combo guards in the league
I see a lot of quality basketball in his future as a high leverage player in the playoffs
Him and JJJ were my steals of the draft

    Clippers fan here.
I hate that we traded Shai but I'm also very happy for the guy.
He wouldn't have had the opportunity to break out they way he has on the loaded Clippers.
On the Thunder he's a #1 or #2 or #3 option which is awesome.

The league is moving to bball IQ being the most important weapon instead of athleticism I feel and SGA fits the mold perfectly. This is exactly why I never thought that PG trade was bad for okc at all, man is a baller.
As for bball IQ becoming the most important skill...Luka, Shai, Jokic, Trae, Ja and so on, not like athleticism isnt as important anymore as the current MVP is a freak of nature and Zion is just coming into the league with Ja being explosive af as well but it is just not a must to be a star anymore and when it is the main weapon of a star, they really are athletic freaks and not just fast, bouncy or strong anymore (again see giannis, zion, this isnt "normal" athleticism)
