last time i saw braniac was in champaign,il...drank robitussin and smoked up with timmy taylor.good times...i mentioned how tim taylor spells mortality -but timmy taylor spells ymmortality...weird,right?..the following morning he gave me a copy of this ep...it was november 96-i believe the club was called 'the blind pig' and they killed as usual.....RIP Timmy
Was anyone else here at the warehouse show in Dayton in '96? The show that got shut down by the fire marshal before it began? Luckily, I got to see them a few months later at Submarine House on Brown St. Fucking killer live!

Well the full albums of both Hissing Prigs and Bonsai Superstar have only 1,500 views. Some day, the world will awaken to this genius, but it'll have to be on a TV show or some shit.
I saw Brainiac 12 times, interviewed Timmy about equipment ect, everything they were using equipment was stuff you could buy (mostly cheaply) off the shelf in the 90s. They were just insane genius's.
back in like 1992, you could get most vintage synths for like $50 at the thrift shop. nobody wanted them - all the pros were using DX-7s. thanks for making Moogs overpriced, Dandy Warhols and Brainiac!

The closest blend of electronic and punk I can think of is Six Finger Satellite.
Gilla Band is perhaps in the neighbourhood? Although I doubt that they're directly influenced by Brainiac.

I read that this album is what helped Trent Rezor record and write With Teeth album.
