This deserves a lot more views. What he did for TNG by means of acting, his great portrayal of Xavier, even his roles in Futurama and American Dad remain fantastic.

He should be so proud to talk of Star Trek role. Everything hit perfectly in that role.... Love him, clots of his roles, but accept the magic of character created in person of Jean luc Picard

14:37 Sir Patrick Stewart found a new voice on social media -- This is one of the hopes of the early days that one day anyone could talk to everyone (who wanted to either). And really we've come quite aways along that already. Just wait for Bluetooth 5.0!

I like Patrick Stewart, but I strongly disagree about "gay rights". You may not be able to choose your emotions, but the question then becomes about whether we as people should always behave in agreement with our feelings. I don't think any rational person could ever answer "yes" to that one. Following onward from that, is the related question of which emotions are objectively right for everyone to express, which are objectively wrong, and who decides? If you believe in God, then He does...but if you don't, what's the alternative? "Survival of the fittest" actually goes against homosexuality, since the latter does nothing to ensure humanity's survival. There's something inside most of us from a very young age, where we see two people of the same sex kissing, and we think its very odd. But then all the secular humanists come around, telling us we're horrible people if we don't support that way of life. I try my best not to hate anybody, but there's certain attitudes and behaviors which truly grate on me...and homosexual activism is on that list. What people do in their own homes is their business, but its the activists who have brought it into the public sphere. As such, everyone should have an equal say with regard to public expression of it - the same as any other issue.

Moviefan2k4 You don't know any gay people do you? No relatives or friends? Do you know personal experiences of the prejudice that community goes through because of love? That activism is in response to awful, sometimes violent prejudice. Love is never wrong. Period. Just because you find something "odd" doesn't mean it's wrong or right or anything. If you're uncomfortable with it, that's your problem. Nobody should dictate another person's life if they aren't harming another. You're uncomfortable with activism? Think of how uncomfortable it is to be ostracized for loving someone, to live under a mask for fear of persecution. Activism is what brings about social change and acceptance, you don't have to like it, but allow the lgbt community to gain the equal rights everyone deserves. Would you have been against civil rights activism? Suffrage? Nobody should live in fear of who they love or who they are. Everyone deserves to be treated equally and fairly, and the gay community deserves the right to fight for complete non-judgmental equality, in every aspect of life, as is true for all of us.

Yes, you are a horrible person. How does it impact you if two men kiss in public? Do other couples need your approval? You say it’s odd to see two men kissing. But in other cultures, the act of kissing itself seems odd. In America, many people find it strange seeing an older woman kissing a younger man. Your problem is that, like most conservatives, you want others to conform to your standards. I’m also laughing at your invoking survival of the fittest. Why do older people who can no longer produce children still kiss and have sex? Tell us how that ensures humanity’s survival.
