Thank you for reacting to this great legend. I grew up listening to his music. Glen Campbell was one of the most talented entertainers & guitarists in the world. He had a lot of hits such as "By The Time I Get To Phoenix", "Gentle On My Mind", "Dreams Of The Everyday Housewife", "Galveston", "Try A Little Kindness", "Rhinestone Cowboy", "Southern Nights" etc. Sadly he got Alzheimer's later in life. The last song he recorded was "I'm Not Gonna Miss You".
I was growing away from the country genre by the time Glen hit his stride. My parents watched his show so I still ended up hearing a lot. My mother liked early pop and rock and my father liked country so I got an early start for eclectic musical tastes.
Must be from the Glen Campbell Show. Kinda sounds like Bobby Goldsboro tune. Glen was so talented. Singer, actor showmanship and I’m sure a writer as well. Hope your healing Lyle
What an incredibly talented performer this man was! So many of his songs are among my favorites! I used to watch his TV show faithfully! Sadly the evil that is Alzheimer's took him from us, but he was still trying to do his music right up to the end. Much respect!
A bit of a departure from his Rhinestone Cowboy. Saw Glen live in Branson, Mo, years ago. He shared the bill with Waylon Jennings - someone else for you to check out.
He has one reaction on the channel of Waylon and I know we've done several in out live streams. Here's the link to the one that's on the channel. Please enjoy it. ua-cam.com/play/PL2sCAzZdAF90fHZwtTNHTBs1rrjOBRko3.html
For me his best song was, still and always be "Wichita Lineman". His voice and the instrumental parts are UNIQUE. I still see the shining light blue of the full moon on the roofs in the neighbourhood. Time played was 19.30 hrs. What a great time!!!

I can still remember Glen’s TV show. My mom just loved him.

Glen Campbell played a 12 string guitar and was amazing on it.❤️

"Ne Me Quitte Pas" - Jacques Brel: just beautiful.
This was Awesome!!!
A great flashback!!! He is very talented!!! I remember some of his great hits.
It is a shame he disappeared his music was brilliant Lyle
Amazing session player as well. You might think about doing the movie True Grit that he was in with John Wayne. The only movie he did I believe.
Thanks Gail. I added it to the movie list.

Sad 🙁 I didn't know that.

Just as is mentioned already, this is a song from Jacques Brel. Of you want emotion please listen to some old recordings of The Great Brel.
