7/17/23 from USA so wonderful. I just watched give baby Barn Swallows fledge from our deck. So neat to watch them and their parents through the process. Thanks for sharing your bird. Vicki Pruitt
Thanks for this beautiful video. It was not easy to bring up the little bird but it had to be a great moment when the bird joined the flock and started its own life. Probably the following spring your little swallow built a nest at your farm…
God bless Deep and strange friendship between you too ... Congratulations to you :)
Wahnsinn! Absoluter Wahnsinn!!!
Hi, Great video. I see you understand the swallows very much. I would like to ask for help. Two swallows dropped out of a nest at our house on July 19th. Unfortunately, only one survived. It was not possible to put it back because the nest is very high. Her mother did not look for it, she did not fly to it. That's why we started feeding the little swallow. She can already fly. If I hold in my hand the food flies to me. But I don’t know how to teach him to be able to eat in the air like your swallows. When is the time when she is ready for independent living? Please help so I can help too. I am thankful.
Goldig..
Some people say that you should nor raise baby birds because they'll imprint on humans. But how can anyone just leave a downed chick to die without helping it?!
Oh, goldig!

What did you feed him ? A much more confident and outgoing personality than my little swallow. Great little video :) I would like to add it as a video response to mine, except that UA-cam does not allow me to right now, there is some glitch.........
hey! I found these two swallows in my shed and they look as to be abandoned, they are so small they only look to be a week old. So I am deciding to hand rear them. But i have no idea what to feed them apart from worms. I am also giving them a few drops of water for the moister.I started to feed them with some tweezers and having a small bit of worm in-between. could you please give me a few tips?! thaanks!
Never give a young bird water, not evens a few drops because it gets in there lungs and stop them breathing. If u are gonna hand rear it u will have to feed it every 15-30 mins. You can feed the bird cat/dog food soaked in water. Iv brought up to swallows and they are lovely don't know what is without them!!
Hello i found small Baby Swallow , i give him egg and bread , he eat it very good and i try to catch insects for him also . and i want to know : 1- how much should i feed him and how many times a day? 2- when can he be able to fly and live alone ? waiting for your answer thank you very much
Samir Sheikh Oghli please give your swallow only insects! I gave my swallow every 2 hours circa ten insects. From 6 to 10 o clock. 9 meals. He must learn to fly in a flexarium. When he is flying and can catch flies and insects expose him in the near of other swallows. Then they fly together to africa 🤗
