- From the cab car, this video is reversed and sped up 8X. The entire trip takes 55min, but only 7 here. Due note the video is reversed, the train is not running red signals. Enjoy.
Woooah! I take this train to Tukwila in 2024 and the only station that hasn't changed almost completely is Kent! So much more built up now though, dang, wild how different it all looked just 14 years ago.
man thats so cool how the city just appears, awsome job.
didn't notice it was in reverse tell the first stop nice video
Fun vid, thanks! Can't believe I've lived here for years and have never taken this train. Now I have to take it for real.
This was awesome! My mom is the conductor on the Southbound Sounder and she thinks she was working that train if that 1505. :) We enjoyed watching this, and the reverse thing was super trippy! Especially the part with the bicyclist crossing after the train went through the crossing, but it looks like it's about to hit him!
The music from your video literally blew up my speaker system. lol Nice job! Had to put out the small flames. You are a mastermind.
At 5:39, you can see the hangers for the old catenary wires that ran from Seattle to Tacoma on the Milwaukee Road's old line that was de-elctrified in the 1970's.
wow, that was fun... but I'm almost dizzy! I live in Tacoma, and love taking the Sounder into Seattle.
LOL it looked like both of them were going to crash @ 5:16 !
Great time-lapse in reverse!
very nice - really shows how industrial the entire valley is coming up through Auburn, Renton, etc
*favorited*
*5 stars*
That was awesome.
I've ridden the Sounder Seattle-Tacoma and vice versa many times :)
Stations in this video:
0:00 - Tacoma
1:29 - Puyallup
2:07 - Sumner
3:14 - Auburn
4:09 - Kent
5:02 - Tukwila
6:45 - Seattle
Remember those, now
Nice...glad you got the old 25th. St trestle in this. Its gone to history now.
Does the title imply Train Travel? No. You always have the option of muting the music you dont like (which is the other option I would have for the video since I would not leave sped up sound in), I can not please everyone, will never happen. And was it really necessary to lash out in the comments over your preferences?
We also know how to walk backwards! Don't forget to be awesome too! :)
Interesting video! Do you work for Sound Transit, or did you have to ask one of the conductors for permission to set up your tripod and camcorder in advance, before recording?
I do time-lapse videos as well, but behind the wheel in my Corolla. I have a few from the Seattle area; feel free to watch if interested.
Again, thanks for posting this; it offers a different perspective of transportation between the 2 largest cities in the Puget Sound region, and adjacent to the busy I-5 corridor.
This was 1505 on July 17th, but I did not see her, plus this ride had the cab locked out, so i had to hold it from the last seat all the way. I only saw 2 guys. I rode 1515 back in May and THAT train had a nice lady conductor who saw me filming from the cab area going backwards, and smiled! She didn't seem to mind my filming, which produced the other 3 videos i uploaded May 23rd and June 9th. =) Thanks for the kudos!
Best part, when the freight train appeared out of nowhere.
June Jones xD
It startled me!
I could tell it was reversed due to the people walking backwards.
Will they be able to put in a third track and get all day service on this line? From this video, it looks challenging in places and expensive, but not impossible.
No offense meant, just trying to make a joke. You have great cities too, I love Vancouver! :D
Vids like this are why I subscribed to your vids.
Pretty sharp corners, or it looks lite it because of timelapse, Here in Europe it's all long and stratched
FSXNOOB シ it's somewhat tight, the trains that run through here are going about 70-80 MPH, just so you can judge urself if it's tight
I live here.
thank you I do love Vancouver too and no need to appologize you actually probaly helped mefind a comment I did not make myself so I actually appreciate it thanks you
That is a great video. Good job on that.
What the hell is this!? _Backwards Day?_ lol
A lot more curves than I had imagined, then again, I should known better, the Puget Sound is quite rugged.
I really enjoy making these kind of videos, They are a bit different....
punkrawker4783 I can't tell did the wonder train have to change tracks from the track where the freight train was . it didn't look it stopped before merging with the track on the right . ie just changed tracks and moved continuously with the freight train
I like the music, whether or not it has anything to do with trains.
Oh god the beginning looks scary
Nice. Now I am the engineer of America Bullet Train.
The Point Defiance section I guess is just beyond Tacoma, and therefore beyond this video's scope...
THINK MY KID WAS ON THIS TRAIN
So cooooooo!
Way to go Chad!
It looks like its running a lot of red signals
5:16 the freight train came out of nowhere
6:18 totally looks like Chicago
Glen Haslerud errr no
why the heck, people and cars are going backwards and it is on the wrong track
6:33 it’s running a red!
DUDE! YOUR TRAIN WAS ON THE WRONG TRACK IF THE VIDEO IS IN REVERSE! I`VE BEEN ON THIS TRAIN!
Reverse
It's a Seattle thing, you wouldn't understand. ;)

Tune.
which software do you use for editing your videos?
I didn't realized it was reversed until 1:30
Did anyone see the trespasser at 1:40
Well, if your 10...no, more than that, maybe, I don't live there, just park when going to Seattle when I drive up from Portland.
ok I do not even understand what I meant nor do I recall watching this video
I had a friend visiting from NY and he id use my computer so maybe he posted it because I am Canadian not American and am just a few hours from Seattle which is a beautiful city
2:47 the cars are driving backwards!!
I'm dizzy 😶🙃
5:14 he nearly hit the cago
What station at 3:14?
Auburn, WA
Why is it reversed
Hey amtrak cascades
how come not a single other sounder apear hear???
@@sshhii I'm pretty sure he meant passing another ACTIVE Sounder Train.
no electricity! This is very expensive! not modern)))
Video + 5*
iMovie 09
heh heh if the train didnt switch tracks it wouldve hit the amtrak and exploded then the tankers would explode XD
Muy bueno, yo soy fanático de los trenes, y en mi país están todos arruinados.
Hello sir! I work for a non-profit in Washington, DC that promotes the safe transportation of dangerous goods (Dangerous Goods Advisory Council). I'd like to use about 15 seconds of your video for a promotional video about our conference. Would you mind if I did that?
mikegamedaymd I think that's a no?
