- If you are interested in studying at Vamia, a vocational education provider in Finland, you can apply for free through their website. Vamia offers a range of programs in English, such as Cook and Waiter/Waitress, that are open to applicants of all nationalities. You will need to meet some general and specific requirements, such as having a valid passport, a minimum level of English proficiency (Duolingo only at this time), and a qualification equivalent to Finnish basic education. You will also need to attach some documents to your application, such as your certificates and language test results. You can find more information about how to apply on their website.
Next application period starts on May 2nd 2024 at 10:00 am local time for the studies beginning in January 2025. In this application period it is only possible to apply to Cook and Waiter/Waitress programs.

According to the Finnish legislation a university is always a higher education institution and there is a specific Act of law about them where they are all listed. There is also another type of higher education institution called University of Applied Sciences(UAS).
Vocational institutions are secondary or upper secondary education and not higher education.
Vamia is one of many vocational schools in Finland.
Vamia is a multidisciplinary vocational education organization, where approximately 5,000 students study annually. The educational institution offers vocational training for young people, adults and for working and business life - in three languages.
Vamia's education offer includes more than 60 basic, professional and specialized vocational degrees. The goal of the study may also be to complete part or parts of the degree. Vamia has the opportunity to study two degrees (professional basic degree and matriculation degree) in three years.

Just about anything always has more details than people mostly need to know. However the difference between higher education and vocational education is always relevant for everyone and has other significant consequences.

It opened but closed within a few hours when the recieved the 500. Some on this network narrowly missed it. My advise, keep focus and one day soon, you will find the opportunity you longed for.
