Couple points: Snorkle polish goes inside the snorkle not outside. Polishing the inside of the snorkel improves air flow dynamics getting more air to the engine adding 5 to 10 extra horsepower (this isn’t true, sarcasm😁)). There are a few people here that I see on my Insta that are fitting gullwing windows to the rear side windows and for me, it seems kinda weird as to why.. but they seem to be at a reasonable price over here that several people are doing it. The words I'd use for your leather interior would be .. "well used". I know only too well about prices and escalating amounts to repair the vehicle, I just spent $1300 AU to get my steering box and power steering pump removed overhauled, and fitted back and checked which was a great price compared to other quotes I've had over $2K AU for it.. I was like OUCH when I got those quotes. I have always tried to do as much DIY as I can and have saved heaps over the past 2 years of doing things myself. I have an A4 page with my list of wants and to-do's for my 80 series cruiser on it.. I'm slowly crossing things off. Hello Mike & Corey, I have been a fan for a long time and your restoration plans sounds good. However, I was deeply disappointed that you over looked something that I thought you would have touted two or three years ago. I was hoping to hear you say "Yes, Corey and I will be bedlining our truck." Indeed, many overland bound members may have already bedlined their trucks but I was hoping that you would have been the first. Please do a follow-up video addressing the how, when, why, what and where of bedlining your truck. It will be the single best bank-for-the-buck you can have in your restoration process. Afterwards, instead of trees and rocks pinstripping your truck you will be pinstripping the trees and rocks. The one stipulation here is that you and Corey do the bedliner personally, not a shop. My preference would be a two-tone tan on black. I will stay tuned for this special video, as will the multitude of your fans. Much love.
Thank you for watching! Perhaps we will meet on the trail one day. Bedliner is permanent and I just can't bring myself to do that. You can never go back or restore your vehicle. You forever alter the weight, body, and sprung characteristics.
Hey mike I’ve had the opportunity to work with mike from FieldCraft Survival in rhino lining his rigs. It would be my pleasure to sponsor part of ur restore on ur rig. I’m in Modesto ca.
