I'm a beginner at this kind of playing. My brother has been teaching me and suggested I learn from you too. You are never too old to learn ,I'm 71 . I've been playing the guitar for 49 years and this kind of playing is very new to me. says Judy Corrette in Wildwood, Fl , USA
Thanks again Nico, great stuff. My wife went above and beyond on my gift this year and got me a brand new gretsch g5622. Love playing rockabilly because of your videos and that’s why I went with the gretsch
Great lesson, Nico. I've been playing a while, so I'm familiar with pulloffs, but I suck at teaching, so this helps me explain things to my daughter, who is just starting out. The comment at 16:45 is so helpful about having a bag of tricks and mashing them together to make a solo. I'm new to attempting solos, so that helps more than I can say.
Thanks Nico, I have been practicing pull offs to strengthen my fingers and now doing this will give it more purpose, thank you again for the lesson and for sharing the techniques.
Good stuff dude! I stumbled across this channel while looking for some rockabilly tunes to learn. Gotta break in my new Gretsch by learning a new style!
Watching your picking hand and really listening to your backing tracks is making a big improvement in my timing and comprehending triplets. Your pick looks like the drummer in these videos. You showed me this on one of our Skype lessons and I use that idea every day now. Thanks Nico 👍
@@DEATHRAYCAT for the past year I have been spending a lot of time with James Wilsey and his solo album “el dorado”. He was the king of less is more! Give the album a listen might be something you like
