- A compilation of some of my best Jammer + Turbo escapes in Online Interceptor of Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered!
This video I'm showing some of the spots I used to make Jammer escapes as well as the counter play for this. Keep in mind that these tricks will only work once, especially against good Interceptor players.

I was a little suspicious of this remake, because it is a game with graphics that have aged well but after playing it for a while I remembered how much this game is amazing.
Yeah the game's multiplayer experience is really good and the game itself has a really fun core loop. Overall it's something I never get bored of. Plus races are a lot cleaner than the likes of Forza where people constantly ram you in order to win. I've never had an online race where anyone divebombed me or rammed me in this game.

@@arctic9082 There's no benefits to ram players in Hot Pursuit since your car has health damage.

I remember seeing the game come up for pre-order. The next day I was at GameStop placing my order. When I sold my 360 I was sad to see the original Hot Pursuit was not compatible with the Xbox One S.
This game mode is still innovative for today's standard, testing not only players' driving skill, but also the wisdom.
I know it was a goddamn fun game to play back then, its gameplay was so satisfactory and even more if you talk about the drifting in this NFS, I’ll buy the remaster next week

This works as well in nfs heat.
When i try to run away from the cops, i go to an open field where they normally wont look then turn off the engine.

@@kerimca98 Well the game said it was a hit confirmed, and the way the Viper spun in the mirror. It also appears as one of the spike strip's lights also disapear in the mirror. But it may just be a visual glitch.

Dude and the random SPAWNING traffic. Its so annoying going 200 mph in either incoming or oncoming lane and a car quite literally appears right in front of you.

in the desert and also hope canyon freeway (and also mission beach to an extent) there are tons of way to bamboozle people with the unknown hidden spots

Im confused, how is hiding in those spots supposed to help/work? Wont the cop's systems eventually reboot and your location will be visible on their radar again?
@@tganims9804 Yes, but the thing is, when jammer's deployed, the cops can't see their GPS, and you can use that to hide on those extra spots while watching the cop's location on the GPS. If the time's right, you could drive the opposite direction as the cops and possibly escape using turbo. Even by the time the cops' GPS comes back on, they would realize you're already far away and has entered cooldown, in which you just have to escape before they continue the chase.
That first play, with the way you timed the music, was LEGENDARY, lmao

Interceptor mode tests both sides on endurance, strategy and focus. If you have two good players, its who can outwit and outlast one or the other.
Unfortunately it is also really boring for a video because you can have up to 10 minutes of no action.

This is why I liked the weapon system better in Rivals than Hot Pursuit. If the chopper was still on the racer the pursuit wasnt over.

You can even see how they panicked so hard because of the fact that they ran out of Jammers, Turbo, and Spike Strips.
And that part where you tapped them to make them into a critical state before that EMP shocked them was honestly really funny.

Strangely how still it is used the first gen Gallardo's engine sound for the Gallardos and the Sesto as well the R8 but I guess it somewhat replicates. It needs bit more Viperish tone to replicate it but overall it is good even though it is not from the same Gen. Or even better an actual R8 sound.
@@HeroManNick132 Uh. It uses the Gallardo V10. That’s why. Doesn’t even remotely sound like an R8.
@@infiniteblaz3416 Yeah, I know it uses from Gallardo but still I don't understand why since 2008 (NFS Undercover) in almost all NFS till NFS Heat, the 2nd Gen Gallardo/Huracan is still using the 5.0L V10 sound despite in NFS Heat is somewhat fixed with the proper sound that is used for the Performante versions but the regular ones are still using this very outdated sound.
And 1 strange thing is despite how the engine sounds are way louder than the exhaust sounds the R8 for some reason uses a sound that is barely heard that is from the first production Audi R8 that had a 4.2L V8 and it sounds bit different than the Gallardos/Sesto in NFS HP 2010/Remastered.
Stellar could just (if they could) putting the Performante's sound or the Audi R8's sound from NFS Heat and that would make them more accurate.
And it is still sad how Criterion could get the I5 sound for the TT that Black Box sucked and making I5 sounds but couldn't get the sounds of the Viper and instead of the glorious 8.3L/8.4L V10 it sounds like old Mustangs with mix of Koenigsegg and bit of Subaru Impreza.
@@HeroManNick132 Why would they fix what ain’t broken? HP 2010 already has accurate sounds from the get go so I don’t know why you’re even complaining.
@@infiniteblaz3416 I'm not saying all sounds are "not accurate". Some sounds kinda triggers me mostly the V10 sounds especially the Viper which sound like a freaking V8.
But again I think I know what is the software that you can edit the sounds and I might do a mod about some of the car sounds.
I mean 1 friend sent me all the exhaust and engine sounds and I was surprised. And Stellar could do a better job (I mean for that price).

You're a legend for using the OG Need for Speed Hot Pursuit (1998) and Need for Speed High Stakes (1999) soundtrack for the overlay. Most fans started with Underground. Guys like me started with Hot Pursuit 1998 and this was nostalgic.

The bass drop as you turbo and the car sounds as you choose them in lobby is always going to be in my head. I love them.

I'm surprised just how useful jammers are online after watching this video.
There were some situations like for example at 3:15 or also at 1:53 where i think that it is just the cop who has -200 IQ... At THAT distance, he normally would be able to see you taking the shortcut even if he got jam'd. This kind of player is just the player who doesn't pay attention about what happen during the game

I figured out there was a switch for killing your headlights in SP mode but I never knew what it was for.
Now I do.

In nfs heat, you can turn off the engine to decrease visibility.
This was great driving outside the city as i can use any open space in offroad areas to just park and hide in the dark.

@@rafsandomierz5313 I know but still for remaster they could have done slightly better job. Like even adding ray tracing without makiing it on another engine with brand new graphics will be nicer.
And adding the wrap editor and the color palette was nice edition but still could have been improved. Even fixing the wrong sounds would be nice instead of slight increase.

I think a simple rebalance will be if the helicopter can remove cooldown, unlike here 3:57.
Heli can prevent you from getting into cooldown, but after you get in cooldown it is basically nothing

Although, if helicopters can prevent cooldown, that will force racers to rethink their jam timing.
@FBI Yep. Basically, it is a bad idea for racers to use this method of jamming with the helicopter already summoned. At the same time, police must summon helicopters wisely.

I think there is actually a third way to counter it, and that is to analyze if there are traffic cones/barriers toppled, then you know where they went.

I thought I distinctly remembered police Helicopters having an effective range as well, making it difficult for a suspect to enter cool-down while the heli was active as long as it could keep up with them. Was that removed in the remaster?
Not really. That only applies when police was still in range when helicopter was called. In this case, suspect is already in cooldown when it was called. Supposedly, helicopter won't even know where suspect is, but I digress.

I don't even want to think about how many hours you must spend practicing this stuff.
A lot of it carried when I was playing in 2010. I was never a fan of the more popular donut/360 brawls. Besides I feel it fits the theme of being a racer outrunning the law.
@@IsuckAtDriving Brawls are rarely optimal for racers anyway. For one, police have a bit more health. In a head-on collision of the same speed, racer will always crash.

It baffles me that Choppers do not count to have the Suspect continued to be spotted when in Cooldown Mode. Then again Helicopters do stick around for a long while. If it was like NFS Most Wanted (2005) kind, it'd be cool to have the chopper help you out.

The only time the helicopter holds vision on you while outside of your range, is when you called out the helicopter before he was out of your personal range.
