Crossing from Suriname to Grenada - Sailing Eva [099]

It's with pain in our hearts that we say goodbye to Suriname. We check out, do our last shopping, say goodbye to the team of Marina Resort Domburg and then we cast off the lines and sail down the Suriname River. Together with the Heron, we set sail on the ocean towards Tobago, which we pass. After a rough ride with a lot of waves, currents and also quite a bit of wind, we moor at an anchor buoy near Saint George's on Grenada after 3 days and 6 hours of sailing.
For years I have dreamed of sailing wherever the wind takes me. In 2020, the time had finally come and Felia and I made a wonderful trip to Scandinavia and the Baltic States. Our Eva, a 2007 Atlantic 43, is an aluminum sailing yacht with lifting keel and built and equipped for trips to places just beyond the horizon. Starting in 2021, I will be sailing south with alternating crews.

Thanks! We hadden nogal een rommelig zeetje vanwege de stroming. Maar het is wel snel gegaan.

In ieder geval kun je op Grenada prima je voorraad rum en nootmuskaat aanvullen.
