We thought about something like that, but are nervous because we don't have that good of grounding to bed the hinges to. Maybe we will figure something out though!
As an old man when I pull my back I’m done for at least a week!! You gotta be tough to grow old. I’ve sailed with two canoes about four feet apart lashed together with five inch green branches. We used three, four, panchos. It was a Boy Scout high adventure trip. We had to row about two or three miles across a lake. Worked great light wind in right direction 👍
Fun stuff, guys! Might I suggest additional lateral resistance to keep you from just getting blown sideways? (Meaning, another dagger board on the other side.)
Try adding daggerboards closer to the front or even right at the front. It's not typical, but your hulls are not really conducive to any kind of a sense of direction. I suspect it's easy to pivot around a point close to your rear. ie a pivot point somewhere between your center daggerboards, and rudder. Adding front daggerboards might not work, but it also won't cost a lot, so the idea is well within your modus operandi :)
The slightly surprising educational benefit of doing this kind of stuff is the fact that the next time you see a 1800s tall ship, you'll think something along the lines of `Yeah, that seems like roughly the right amount of ropes and shit`.
I haven't seen enough of your videos to know much about the sailing vessel, but you would be able to tack up wind better. If you have a dagger board that goes down either in the center of the boat forward of Midway or on one side or the other of the boat that would increase your steering capability and sailing up wind capability quite a bit
I've had an inverting table thing that you lock your ankles into and then flip around with your head down and legs up, so it stretches your back. Don't know if it would help you, but if you try it, make sure someone is around to help so you don't get stuck upside down.
@@MoneyPitBoating They do stretch your back. Whether that would solve your problem is another question. It may be easier to see a chiropractor or sports injury therapist.
re: that sign... I think you could argue in court that what you have isn't really a boat. "It's more of a raft with some toilet fittings, and ropes and shit Your Honour" :)

Thanks! It's pretty fun!
Need a end of the year camping adventure trip on the houseboat. A good cleaning and fixing up before Winter, and throw in a cooking segment.
Roger that! Thanks for steering us to more content ideas!

Always make me laugh 😂😂😂
Thank you!! 😁 Going to go to the doctor soon, if it doesn't heal by itself.
Next vid will be adding hinges to the mast's for quick deployment!

Yeah, you get us! Moving forward is a great idea!

So true! Those things are CRAZY!

We have a daggerboard about midway, but it might be towards the rear if you count our bowsprit! Thanks for watching!

I've seen those things... Do they actually work?!

Yeah, I'm try to have it heal naturally, but I keep doing stupid stuff and never allowing it to heal!
@@MoneyPitBoating Hope you get it figured out. :)
Went to ER, then Dr, now Physical Therapy seems to be helping a lot, so fingers crossed!
First 😂😂 hell ya!!! Keep it up punks
Bahahahaha Thanks!
I missed y'all....you videos haven't been showing up in my feed, and I have the bell and all checked
So many people tell us that! We don't know why it happens, but it's really frustrating!
re: that sign... I think you could argue in court that what you have isn't really a boat. "It's more of a raft with some toilet fittings, and ropes and shit Your Honour" :)
Bahahahahahaha that'd be a moment the judge would never forget!
Kinda looks like an Asian type vessel with sails up👍
Yeah, we crack up when we look at it!
Hoist Mark up by his feet to straighten out his back.
That's not a bad idea!
How much would aluminium tubes for mast cost? Those plastic are ridiculous.
Yeah, we need to upgrade! The budget is pretty tight right now though!
"Big Sailing" lol!
Hahahahaha Coutts is pretty clever when it comes to the titles!
