Inspired by the weekly Open Mic Night in the Listening Room at Luigi's Deli in Martinez every Monday. It has been my pleasure to hear some great musicians and meet some very fine people.

Listen to some tunes - and put some food in your belly
Hear some fine musicians - every Monday night
You’ll have a whole lotta fun - here at the Open Mic
All are made welcome - by Roy serving as host
Gets us all settled in - then may lead with a toast
Or he might tell a joke - maybe mention a birthday
And then he’ll introduce - all the musicians that day
As always many thanx - to our soundman Jay
He sets up the equipment - and gets us ready to play
Leads off with a song - sets the mix just right
You can rest assured - it’s gonna be a good night
You’ll hear original tunes - or cover songs that you know
Just sit back and relax - while you enjoy the show
You may even sing along - and be tapping your feet
Enjoy an evening with friends - man it just can’t be beat
