    I mixed my indigo with red Raj in step one. After letting the red Raj sit for four hours I saw no dye release when it was time to mix the indigo in. Both powders were mixed with warm water only. In step two, I mixed my indigo with warm water, salt, and aloe Vera powder. My grey hair was gone with the first step and JET black after step two. I found my mix. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I have been a Henna Sooq customer for almost 8 years now exclusively. I trust your reliable advice and your amazing, incredible, and fresh products

      @@homersimpson5501 i used maybe a teaspoon full. Not much at all. I now do a one step method. After my henna develops for 4 hours I mix my indigo/salt/alovera powder and let it sit for 30 minutes. I then add it to my henna mixture and apply to my hair. I love the color when it's done. My grey roots are always a dark orange. It takes a couple of applications to get them darker. I do a henna (or hendigo as we should call it) every 3 to 4 weeks. I'm so thankful I found this. I can't imagine how I would be if i were still using any chemicals in my hair. Thank GID for Kadija and Henna Sooq💗💕💜

    I keep seeing conflicting advice about how to rinse it out. Some people say to just rinse with water and don't shampoo for 1-3 days. Others say it's okay to use conditioner to clean the paste off. And others say even shampoo can be used (with or without conditioner). I have only used conditioner.

    I really want a chocolate brown to get rid of the grey. Bought henna with amla,shakikai. Would like to use coffee for a deeper/darker color(not black). Can I keep it on over night? How often will I have to do this regimen? Does the henna gloss help with the color? Glosses and tea rinses how many times a week?
    My hair is very thick thinking of using the rice water and onion oil on my hair. Long term goal: tail bone length hair, instead of shoulder length. Stronger, longer and healthy hair. Please give me the recipe for dyeing so many tutorials. Not sure of the measurements.

      after the henna is on the first time you can start to every couple of weeks just use the indigo to refresh the black, but if you have grays or roots that seem stubborn to hold colour just do the two step process on the roots and indigo on the rest of the hair :)

    Does this take a few tries to find your mix? I let the henna sit for the recommended cure time then mixed it with 50/50 indigo/henna (after letting the indigo curate). Afterward i applied to my hair and let sit for 4 hours. I went through one full bag of henna and half a bag of indigo. I have shoulder length hair that is super thick with very wiry layers of gray throughout. When I washed it out, my hair was darker and felt lovely but my grays were orange/copper in color. I assume it just takes practice getting it right, right? I’ll try buying more indigo and give it another go next weekend

      Susan Townsend Hi there! I have stubborn gray hair as well. I personally feel like the Red Raj is best as my base henna. I apply mine in two ways: 50:50 ratio, rinse; two step process with henna first, rinse, and then apply indigo. The two step process is the most effective method for me. I add aloe Vera powder and hibiscus to my henna after dye release to intensify the red tones and add moisture, and, I also mix my henna with green tea (4 tea bags). Make sure to add salt to your indigo mix, this will aid in its adherence to your hair (hennaed hair). Start your application at the front of you head, and thoroughly coat I also leave the mixtures on my hair for a lot longer than the recommended 3-4 hours. I do 6-8hrs. I start the process the evening before and apply my final step before going to bed. The indigo is usually ready to wash out wash out when I wake up. Also, I don’t cowash, I just rinse thoroughly after each step. Blow drying after rinsing out the indigo also helps (I don’t do this often - limiting use of heat). Be very light handed on the application of leave-in conditioner/oils/butter for at least 24hrs post treatment. It takes about 2-3 days for the true color to intensify. I’ve tried henna/indigo from other companies, and by far, Henna Sooq offers the highest quality I’ve yet to come across. I’ve been using them for 5 years now. Remember, this is a natural process, you can reapply as often as needed to get the results you need. I hope this works. It’s definitely a trial and error type process until you find the right formula for your hair. Best of luck.🌺

    Is 50 grams of henna and 50 grams of indigo the same amount of tablespoons? or is one of the powders heavier than the other?
    I just did a 50/50 one step of henna / indigo and amla and aloe, and my grays came out copper, not brown at all. All of my products are from Henna Sooq.
    I started doing research and then noticed on a few different sites that 50 grams of indigo is not the same amt of T's as Henna is. I'm so confused !

    • @janthomas9542
      @janthomas9542 3 роки тому

      After doing the same 50/50 first step as you, I then wash it out once with conditioner only.
      My next step then consists of indigo+Amla, teaspoon of salt with advocaco oil to prevent it becoming too dry and instead of mixing with water, I use black tea (for more colour). I then leave this on for 2-3 hours before I wash it out. The 2nd stage is to get rid of the stubborn greys or Cooper. It is trial and error but I found that this works best for me after I saw this method on one of her previous posts.
      Hope this helps and greetings from London, UK!

      @@janthomas9542 Thanks for the info you shared. Did this process come out super black or more brown? I'm asking because I don't want stark black, just brown on my grays. I just did a 1 step henna indigo again with more indigo in the mix. The grays were still light copper, but my dark brown hair is now too black. I wish I could find a way to get the grays any color of brown (just not copper) and then not too dark on my non-gray hair. I'm worried the 2 step would give me ultra stark black. And I really hope my current too black look on the non-gray hair will relax and fade a bit. I know henna is permanent, so I'm a little worried...

      Ok so I figured it out. I did the hennah and indigo method w the aloe Vera as well. However my grey hair is now a copper color. Any tips on how to achieve black on the now copper. But the rest of my hair is beautiful I’ll be doing this method from now on.

    Save yourself some time and just mix them together for the one step process.
