Hi Louise! Beautiful!! I am looking forward to doing my first lazy Susan. I also love your clock tutorials. Just wondering, how do you finish off the back of them?
@@angelajackson79 thank you, the clocks or lazy Susan’s.
@@LouiseMcKayArt I'm sorry, I meant the clocks.
@@angelajackson79 this video shows the back or I could make you a custom more detailed tutorial

Very nice 👍 sir stay connected 😊
Hi Fairy, thank you so much, Louise
Beautiful work
Thank you so much Dr Radha😘
Louise, I sometimes think you are an encyclopedia of colors, as you name them off individually 😉 and can actually pronounce them correctly (as if I would know, LOL) I also think you have actually found a way to get your spinner to spin almost perfect, which is a very hard thing to do, at least for me! It is good to have such in depth videos, that truly are "show and tell"!! I love this Lazy Susan, beautifully done, and very instructional..Thanks hon ☺🤗❣
Ha! Jude, if only I were really in encyclopedia, there is so much to learn. Truth be told, on this one I actually cut out trying to find Center because I do it all the time. I’m not gonna waste your time watching me find Center because I have not foundthe cheat yet got that 😂 I’m glad you find my videos imformative and useful
Beautiful!!!!!
🧡😘😘🧡
Very beautiful !
Thank you so much, Linda🧡😘

muito obrigado! Nelson😘
Luv your art❤ I'm a fellow artist as well, love your technique!
Thank you so much, 😘James. I love the Bloom technique for versatility. Thank you for being here with me and support.🧡
I was in Asheville for the FAE and saw your lazy susans in the shop behind the hotel. When I got home, I found your channel, subscribed, watched a couple videos, and ordered 5 of them from Ikea. I'll be painting 2 today. Beautiful work!!
That’s awesome Bill! I’m so glad you ran into me, I was at the FAE as well, I assisted Sara on Thursday, took her class on,Friday and Jessica‘s class on Saturday. We probably saw each other but just didn’t know. Anyway, I’m so glad to have inspired you to try doing your own. Hopefully, you can somehow share them with me. I’ll be curious to see how you do. Let me know if you have any questions.🧡
@LouiseMcKayArt While we were hanging out at the hotel after classes, Jeremy and Nate saw some photos of my work and said I should start a UA-cam channel. Then Britta, Jessica, and Treesie joined in, and so, I have a channel now. I'm still working on it, so there' no content yet, but it's coming soon.
@@BillRobersonArt oh boy, what have you done😅do you post on any FB pages?
@LouiseMcKayArt I do post on paint pouring with Kathleen Miller. Haven't painted in a few months. My little Frenchie died last year, and I just couldn't get motivated. FAE was just what I needed.
@@BillRobersonArt sorry about your pup, I’ve always had my furry friends, glad FAE came…
So beautiful. Did you add something sparkly to the black? Thank you for sharing. Elaine
Thanks Elaine and good eye as I forgot to say I the video, yes I added to the resin a few sprinkles of holographic gold glitter I purchased from Hobby lobby.
Very pretty Louise. What colors for the Lazy Susan you do the most sales? Where do you buy them?
Hi Carolyn, 😘🧡thank you and I get them from IKEA and as far as what color palette sells the most, I don’t know how to answer that, they’ve ALL sold! So if you look down my thumbnail, you can see all the different color pallets and just go from there if that helps.
@@LouiseMcKayArt congratulations on your sales.
Wow, so cosmic!!
Love your color choices, Louise!
Great idea on leaving SH black pillow paint open to thicken. How long did you leave open? Just a few hours? Or a full day?
TIA
Thank you Jennifer🧡😘…days, dunno how many, a while!
What varnish do you use and how long do you let dry before applying paint?
I never varnish, only resin, KS Resin and about 10 days. The varnish I lay down before is any varnish you have on hand. It doesn’t matter.
Why do you varnish the wood first?
So the wood doesn’t warp
What price does the store put on your Lazy Susan? I know you probably have to give up at least 40%.
Ask whatever your area’s market will bear. It’s like me asking you what your annual salary is, it’s dependent on where you live in the country and cost of living there.
@@LouiseMcKayArt Very true. A common rule of thumb is to multiply the product costs by 3 and then divide by .6 (60% to me). If my cost is $15, then that produces a price of $75 which would leave me with $45 after the store's commission. I think the Raleigh/Cary, NC area can handle prices similar to Ashville, NC. If it sells fast at $75, then perhaps I can get a bit more for them.
@@maggiekehoe4614 sounds like a smart approach, feel your market out and adjust from there! I’m going that with all new items!
How much do you sell these for?
If you’re asking to purchase, please email me at the email in the description. If you’re asking for yourself, I’d say whatever you can get where you’re located.
