I really want to try him but I'm too afraid to grief my team by playing NP so bad. But your guide gave me more guts to go play him. I think I'll try him if he's not banned.
do not afraid, if you sprout enemy and your teammate cannot hit, blame your teammate not using queling blade to cut tree :)

Just play unranked and practice all you want
i'ts really not that hard, just remember to not use your tp's around 6 minutes so you have both of them up to steal the wisdom rune (scan if you don't want to feed and the enemies are missing)
Please play interested till you're comfortable with the hero
Talent lvl 10, E's cooldown and Talent 15, +4 treants are good for NP's shard skills. As you know, treants are considered as trees, so NP can easily pick backlines.
I always rush urn to vessel, then shard at exactly min 15.
What I don't like with NP when doing deep wards is it reveals your ward whenever you use your ult.
I think your team should consider it, when placing deep wards. e.g: put wards in the way, so you don't lighten creep camps. But if you mean heroes, that farm camps, while you are fighting and used ulit, then yes - its sad
you can also wait for enemy to use quelling blade and then sprout. Some players love to cut random trees in between CSs, you can catch them with their pants down

Another trick you can do is when your enemies can cut down your trees, after sprouting them immediately turn the trees where they would most probably run towards to into treants. That way you can body block them with the treants instead and they would still be trapped for awhile inside the remaining sprout trees
you can sometimes use NP pos 4 ulti to farm, for example you just finished a war top and enemy creep is pushing bot lane, u happen to still have ur ulti, you can use ur ulti to clear the creep wave if none of your core is tping to def that lane...

Enemy base wards!! In my bracket they are only caught after the damage is done. Getting on OBS down behind enemy rax before pushing high ground by tping into trees and tping out ahead of time. This vision advantage breaks the low mmr high ground stalemate that can occur.
Vlads can be good as well, if your team has right-clicker and even more if you got for right talent tree (rat rat rat).
I'm playing a lot of NP mid and never bought bottle on him. He only needs Sprout to kill and harass and w+tp he can quickly gank and be back on lane without missing out.
I mostly get 1-2 clarities in the first 6-10 minutes to be able to sustain a ulti when it's needed.

@@charliequinn5590 i usually go 2-1-0 (at level 3, that is a power spyke) and i max the first 2 skills, only take flak canon if i cant use missile or rocket barrage at enemies (if they have dispels for the missle like abaddon/oracle) or something else i cant get too close.
i usually go arcane > pavise. Vessel/drums is situational, depending if i need to provide more phys damage or deal with heals and i try to get shard as soon as possible. from there you can go shivas, e-blade (thats what normally people do) but i see that this is a time when you can start to see if the game is easy or hard.
if it is easy and i trust my cores i keep building support items like lotus, euls, eblade and other stuff.
if game is hard and they need some extra damage i like to go diffusal, mage slayer (never done but thought too many times) and skadi if i need to deal with alch/timber and high heal/regen heroes.

i usually only pick NP on pos 4 because i feel like if i pick it pos 5 and constantly rotate, i will sacrifice too much of my carry's game but as pos 4, it doesn't feel as bad to sacrifice the offlaner's game because i might be giving mid and safe lane a better game in exchange, could you do a video on when i should rotate without sacrificing my core's game, for example when creep is in my tower then i can consider rotating now and other situations

I've been picking NP for last 3 patch revisions and killing with him. I use builds more appropriate to my bracket, might not be able to get away with being extra lanky support in higher levels.
I took your advice and auto-picked NP whenever he's not banned. I don't like playing him, but I am undefeated. Even when laning phase sucks (every time) and I get run down and jumped on (every time), we end up winning.
At work will watch later but I love to rush urn and old growth 📈 especially vs people who heal

I enjoy playing nature's prophet nowadays and it instantly boost my mmr by about 1k+
love this guide. I might try the vessel + shard tho i usually go for thread + 2 wraith bands + mage slayer in most of my pubs. he's a really good laner as long as you can play him right. (mostly atking enemy at max range)
also uses the tp to refill mid's bottle at some games tho people nowadays spams alot or weird mid picks who barely uses bottles. also bring items to carry when you ran out of sustain and wants to regen quick for the next set of poking at lanes.
also, my nemesis is spectre + disperser. can't do anything against him every single time. auto ban for me.
spirit breaker can be countered early with things like euls or fs or linkens in late games. as for nyx i barely queue against him and when i do mage slayer always saves me with a bunch of stat items or pipe.
As an NP main. You get blamed a lot for griefing your team but a lot of times it's your team griefing you.
This is definitely true in lower ranks where people do not understand the concept of split pushing and they're mad that you're playing a non-traditional support even though I've been playing them for like 5 years. So they flame you all game and as soon as things go wrong with your fault.
The main way you grief an NP is by not telling him when you want to take a fight and take and fights at random. You want to use his ability to split push but also show up to fight so your TP needs to be up.
People take dumb fights and then mad you're not there. It takes a few seconds to pop out the ground and you might have to cancel and read TP so that can take up the 5 seconds. At that point the fight could be over or about to be. This is why a heads up is important.
Also, as an NP, if I show up to a fight that goes south and I die or waste my time more than two times I'm not coming to any more fights. It's more valuable for me to keep farming and split pushing
True, every time I have a NP on my team and we are losing really bad, the enemy is taking their time and having fun instead of ending, my NP is trying to defend, it's just makes me wanna cry

After medallion intro solar changed some people stopped buying bright stone for harassment while others are still buying it, but it in my mind not well-spent gold because you have to sell it later on. Instead, what do you think of buying an orb of corrosion and going into the orb, which now gives attack speed a bit of armor? I've tried it and its a decent item on nature, but I don't see people opting for this which makes me wonder why not. What are your thoughts?
Does Treant count as a tree with Curse of the Old Growth dmg contribution?
No, he's an ent, not a pure blooded tree. He doesn't contribute to shard damage. I'm NOT a tree.

Really just any usual mid ward is fine, either straight in the middle or off to the side a bit

...ooorrrrr....you could pick NP when all of your cores are melee and completely grief the game for them by trying to have a high impact. Like when I am Abaddon offlane and get 3 hits of Curse of Avernus on the enemy core and NP comes along and surrounds him by trees and I can't attack anymore and by the time the trees go away I get run off by the enemy hard support. Or when I have a nice juicy stack of neutral creeps that I am whittling down with Spectre and I'm about to dagger the stack to kill it off and move to the next camp when NP hits ult and takes all of the gold and last hits from me. Great times. I feel like if I have a NP on my team, I can only pick ranged or some other core who can avoid the trees (like Spectre and dagger into the trees or Riki and blink strike in) ---- feels really bad that I had to carry a quelling blade the whole game cause I have a NP on my team! That's only supposed to be a grief for the opposing team

I can't stop griefing myself by trying to do phyalctery sprout+teleport build. It's just too funny watching someone with no quelling blade die every other time they show on the map. So in other words, it's not that good unless your team pushes and deathballs the game but god is it fun to use... when you can make it without basically griefing the first 10 min of the game that is.

Broken hero in any case, not just as support. Major issue are the attributes. Spells are a lesser concern until level 25.
Compared to Hoodwink and Muerta, the issue is obvious: 3/3 attributes above 2.5, no flaw compared to at least one weakness (strength) for the 2 above. NP can even naturally attack faster than most agility heroes! Without mentioning the +0.5 armor per level.
I am ok with a tanky wizard with 2.6 strength, but decreasing in a sharp way the 3.2 agility is kind of mandatory. Should be closer to 2.
