You know, considering all the static scale model kits and RC kits Tamiya makes, I'm surprised they haven't really invested in mini RC kits like this.
I finally got this thing and LOVE IT!

Oh, this looks like a pretty good improvement over my FMS Katana. The Electronics look better and of course this one is a licensed truck. The first thing I did to my Katana was add some weight down low. I went with some Treal 1.0 wheels with brass rings, brass hex weights front and rear, and RC4WD Goodyear MT/R 1.0 tires. Made a massive difference.

You’re going to have loads of fun with that one! I have the V1 ‘Katana’ modified and it is a bomb little crawler. Weighted wheels, new tires, new ESC make a load of difference.

Very tempting as I previously had no interest in working on something smaller than 1/10th scale. We will see what your current 8 week challenge does to change my mind on teeny tiny trucks.

Absolutely sweet looking rig! I just recently did an unboxing of the RocHobby Fire Horse on my UA-cam channel, ClassicSteelRC and I love it! I definitely have my eyes on this Land Cruiser as soon as I can afford another rig!

I got the cheap white one and put a driver in it and some aluminum wheels and rc4wd wrangler tires on it put grease in the shocks too. I also traded out its electronics from a hobby plus cr24 i had. Its awesome to go out crawling on the trail with. I do want this one too someday 👍👍 nice review!

Mine is actually a different branding... EazyRC Patriot.... from Amazon ($109). 2 channel, looks like a different light kit. Everything else seems to be the identical.

received my land cruiser last year Christmas ,use maybe 3 or 4 times in side home , on floor , today i try to used only the lights on and steering wheel work not traction . no moved, full charge battery ,nothing some body know what the problem,tks guys.
Do you think the carisma gt24, would be a close match for scale as a car to go along with this truck....i know the scales on mini are all way off....and from videos, those seem to be the closest fit to this truck....id like to make a car hauler trailer and havr a functional rc race car that matches the scale of this truck.....most 1/18 cars are way too wide and strike me as actually 1/14

What I would do with it is invent a ray that instead of shrinking things made it into either full size or 1/10th.
I like this full-sized ray idea...
So they claim that the running time is about 30 minutes, but I found mine goes for almost 45, so I'm super impressed with it!

I really liked like the look of mine it's a cool little rig only problem is plastic gears and I stripped both axles but I really like the look and I'm going to find a set of axles

Recently, I purchased the same one, and after three uses, it started to malfunction. The issue is with the faulty battery it came with. Do you know if I can replace it with one of the same type and voltage (7.4V LiPo) but with a higher capacity? For example, 1,400mAh. Thank you

Now I’d be sure a Scx24 is more capable, (box stock), but do you think the size of the Katana would make up for that?
It'd be an interesting toss up actually. The size and weight would likely help in some cases, and hurt in others.

Looks exactly like their Roc Hobby and Eazyrc models. I'd probably go with he cheaper one and throw some decent electronics.
But this has better electronics than either of those two.

Kid resistant maybe? It allows for a 50% reduction in throttle, which should help the kid-friendly factor.

Check the connections on the ESC, or contact FMS directly.

Add a lot of details like, sandladders, cases, rescue ropes/chains and a driver. Add sound and make the toplights functional. And weather the H!@# out of it.
What the F. That’s definitely an upgrade from the Banggood model they sold. The light kit and controller are new. Is the remote still turbo racing? That’s the same remote coming with the jimny.
This one is labeled as FMS. Seeing that FMS made this, I'll bet they saved all the best bits for them!
Any truck can be made to climb those non scale rocks but not every truck can have those scale good looks...

The 80 series body is pretty widely available, and has been for many years! I've built two other 80 series. They're 9th scale though.

It's not bad... not great, but completely acceptable.
If it was a kit then I would be in.
Take it apart and put it back together - double the fun!
Yeah it's pretty cool however for my income it's a tad pricey!

Not gonna lie, I wasn't impressed until the aluminum frame. My EAZ works great, even with the simpler electronics. But it's plastic frame was a bit of a let down. $40 for a paint job, metal frame and official licensing is cool by me. Never forget tho, increasing complexity decreases reliability.
