This is absolutely amazing. They knocked it out of the park on this one. Easily will be adding this to the collection. Love to see a company that takes note and makes changes and continually puts out quality and captivating products. Well done all around. And thanks for the great video Matt
Love this model had a couple of the FJ range, pretty sure you can increase the steering throw from the remote also the indicators can be deleted from the transmitter, yep done a good job on it detail wise.
@@scalebuildersguild Yeah, did it a couple of times actually, sounds like another video is playing over it. Maybe you have the same gremlins that plagued Josh, lol!
Super cool little rig. This is what I wish Jeep would build. A real Long bed 2 door Gladiator. With no fender wells in the cab. Bet it would sell. Be well and have fun 😉
Unrelated: thank you for turning me onto the Cricut! It really set in how much of a game changer it's going to be as soon as I laid down the first paint mask.
I watched GCM's video on the FJ-45 last night and now yours. Having owned an FJ40 and a FJ60 this 45 blew me out of the water! An amazing rc... but I'm going broke with all these great releases! 🙃
WPL calls their FJ45 (C34 & 44KM trucks) 1/12. This appears to be closer to 1/14, if I had to guess.I’d be interested in getting one of these but I already have a decked out C44KM in virtually the exact same color. And it crawls like a champ for its size. The FMS is a great looking truck. They did it right. But I’m just not sure I’ll put the money into one right away.
I am a huge Toyota fan. I own three full size trucks, and I love this model. I may have to get one just to have something to run in the house during those snow-covered ground months here in South-central Utah.
That thing is pretty dang cool. Iv been debating on getting one of those for awhile fms for awhile. This may be a winner Love the model of fj they chose
Hi! A wonderful RC - Model for sure! I’m Not the big expert in RC ,i use my RC’s not for competitions, only for fun. I „drive“ my 1/6 1943 Willys MB soooo long … Tuned with HW1800 Combo ,PL Schocks … It runs ,runs ,runs!!! PLEASE, FMS, make a 1/6 - Version of this WODERFUL 1/12 TOYOTA FJ45 !!! (Are the wheels from 1/12Willys?i trink so)
What a great little C44KM! Er, I mean, FMS. I love it! (Steering wheel looks overly large compared to the other cab details... kinda hard to un-see that, really. But otherwise, love it). Nice job, Matt!
I wasn't sure and checked some FJ40 cabin pics, and the wheel might be ever so slightly bigger than it should, but maybe not as much? These older 4x4s had quite a big wheel, as they would (probably) not be designed for power steering, and a bigger radius helped with the effort made to move the wheel =)
@@YoShImUrA53 true, and even the 60 series I learned to drive in didn't have power steering, though it had a smaller wheel than in the 40s. The 40s I've been in do have a bigger wheel - I see at least one most weekdays round these parts - but the one in this model is almost comically large! No big deal, just a big wheel.
thanks for the review! Got one sitting on my desk now, and yes it does look amazing! Would you be keen to show how it could be lifted (slightly, not in a ridiculous way:-), Maybe axleflip? Will steering link and shafts still operate etc.? Is it possible to get better steering out of it? Would be awesome, thanks heaps!
Is your steering a little slow because Ol' Stan has his hands on the wheel and the wheel moves with steering input. Stan does have a good grip on the wheel...
the details are awesome realistic, but how about the longevity of the servo and other parts?.,thinking of getting this over the kyosho mini z jeep wrangler
@@scalebuildersguild Thanks for the input, I was thinking of getting the fms fj45 because of the realistic details and it will look good on my glass display cabinet but i'm thinking about the reliability of the internal parts compared to kyosho
Damn! Looks amazing! On an only slightly related note, have you ever been to the Land Cruiser Heritage museum? It's in Salt Lake City, Utah and has just the most amazing collection of Land Cruisers!
The bed depth and length screams for “stuff”! I saw video on the internet where the turn signals were disabled by turning the controller off and on twice while holding the throttle full reverse and the steering full left….then put down the controller, pick up your scale 🔨 and smash those little suckers right out!😂 They are soo annoying 😬
Great review as usual! At this stage in the game all R c's should have ultra scale bodies.Especially when they exceed the $400 mark. Nothing worse than a Lexan body🤦♂️ when you spend top dollar. 😡 Take care!
I cut the turn signal wires on my RocHobby Katana and spliced them into the head lamp and rear lamp wires. Obviously this means they are permanently on when I turn on the lights, but I'd rather have that than the irritating turn signal. Who does that off road anyway !!
Dude cmon I just got the Kublwagan! when I see your driving footage, that's when you hear that little "plink" as my responsible brain detaches from the one string holding it together, and my ooo shiny brain takes over and buys stuff. ahh well whats one more?
1/6 fj fms would be sick
Fms needs to get into the 1/10 world
Looks like he has 100 of them behind him
I agree with you... 1/10.
Don't they have a square body in 10th scale? Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong company.
@@phearlobe nope they only have small scale crawlers
@@phearlobe that would be the newer lc70 LandCruiser from boom racing...you might be thinking of..
Looks great. If FMS did more vehicles in 1/10 scale they would put RC4WD right out of business.
YES!! Anything Land Cruiser is a plus in my book. Been waiting for an FJ45, wish it were 1/10 but 1/12 will do for now. Thanks FMS!
Just saw this on the FMS Instagram page and was going to message you. Then I got an alert that you posted this video. Figures. Watching now.
Man, FMS still releasing new stuff. Is anyone else in the RC world even close to them these days with new releases? Thanks for the review...
Thanks for watching!

Because they went the full detail, those 5 lug wheels taken right off a Jeep are driving me nuts 😵💫

Another belter from Fms . They are making some beautiful models. I love the fj. I’ve just bought the wpl kinda a fj . Maybe I should have waited 😂😞😂
Sunday night vid ❤❤❤❤❤
Sunday? Yes, more of that please!
Yay, an unexpected video! Just FYI at @ 55 seconds the audio cuts out for a few seconds.

This looks great. I bet a 4.5" GI JOE figure would fit excellent in there. 🤔
FMS has really been on a roll lately, that truck is stunning

I'm so glad to hear it! It's definitely a game changer.
What a great little model. I'll add it to my list of Toyotas I need in my life.
That model is incredibly scale, it looks really nice.
This is an incredible little rig. This could be a lot of fun in the back yard
Definitely need one of this in my life. That's DOPE scale details on that Fj45

FMS is really nailing the details on these small scale trucks.
It is awesome! Toyotas rock!
Love me some Toyota's.
How awesome are the leaf springs!!!! Keep up the great work!!
Thank you! Will do!
Got a couple of wpl versions on this awesome looking RCs
At that price, as much as I like it, I’d get the capra 1/18! Great video thanks for the in-depth view! And great camera swinging skill.
Well there build for different people the Capra is ugly
So awesome how they made it leaf sprung!!!
A wonderful example, I can’t wait to make a 1/12 FunBringer!

Really cool lil Toyota, honestly I’m a fan of the fms’s they’re very realistic and scale. Thanks for sharing the review with us.

What a beauty! Being down south iv been looking for one to purchase. One day it will be mine
You said 20 point turn and the first thing I thought of was skit from Austin Powers with the golf cart. Lol

See I still see this as a Toy. That just look's real good. Personally I need a little more than that. But it was a great run down on it. :)

Great scale details. Looks amazing!
Glad you like it!
12th scale is really improving. 16th has been a laborious hassle.
Wow that is pretty awesome,
Did the sound go off at .57 or was I having a stroke?? Best looking Rc since they did the Chevy.

You can shut the turn signals off with a pair of wire cutters 🙃

Why cutting the wires, simply pull the plug...
If they're making them in the United States I'm happy I mean the radio control truck.

1/12 should be 3 3/4" tall. Cool rig.
People are under four feet tall where you live?
Hope you don't lose that tiny little screw that's under the truck.
Are the wheels accurate? Looks like they just took them from the 1/12 Willy’s Jeep. But overall, love it.
They are not accurate... definitely the Jeep wheels. Time to get modifying!
It's a good looking model detail wise but they really need to go into larger scale to really hit the mark for me! At very least 1/10 for me!
