Mathew, I know I'm on the wrong tune but....
I was told tonight that "I'll Cry Instead" was recorded at Toads Place in New Haven, Not the Paradise in Boston. A jock at our local 50,000 FM rocker said he was told that by Billy Joel himself. I was wondering where you got the Paradise information? I was the Toads Place house liaison for all 4 shows at our club. CBS has never, to my knowledge, mentioned what venue the song was taken from. Thanks in advance

Good afternoon, sorry for the late reply.
The information I have comes from the bootlegs directly, however, it centainly unknown if that is from Boston, we do not have an audience recording yet for that show.
I think it was Guitars101 website, that is were the outtakes came from, and if I remember correctly, it was noted that I'll Cry Instead was from Boston.

I have over 250 cuts from the 40 live broadcasts I engineered on my channel. Those are all from Toads Place, New Haven. I was paid by CBS so they're all top notch bands. I was also involved with the Trod Nossel recordings that included Fleetwood Mac, Larry Coryell, Foghat and more. You might enjoy some of it. Thanks again
