1- If you use A.I. for writing, you don't own the copyright of the book, even if you change some words in it. Writing is not just replacing words for synonyms there and there. You need to chose and write every single word. And if you don't own the copyright, it's mean anybody can take your book and publish it for himself. 2- On platforms like Amazon KDP, you have to tell costumers that you used A.I. to write your book. If you don't tell, they gonna closed you account forever when they find out, and banned you. The things is that nobody is interest to buys and reads novels and books written by A.I., so your sells gonna be very low or inexistant. 3- At the moment, A.i. writing is very boring and make simple sentences always written the same way. 4- Self-publishing have become oversaturated with everybody who think they can make easy money, but it's very hard to sell books even for actual competent writers. The only persons to make profits of that are UA-camrs who make video on how to write and publish books. 5- There is more people who wants to write books than there's readers. Lot of people who NEVER buy and read books wants to write some books, and imagine themselves becoming famous writer. LOL. Things are not that easy... *Sorry for mistakes, english is not my first language.
I agree. However A.I. is a great time saving tool to create outline. You can then handover to a Ghostwriter which then means your will have copyright on the finished product.
Thanks for your great content! From your experience with multiple AI writing tools, what would you recommend as the best AI writing tool for self-help style books? Thanks!
Is there a way to un-moderate Claude 2.0? It's really frustrating that it keeps refusing to write scenes that include anything that it doesn't like. I end up just writing it myself, which isn't bad since I love writing, but it slows things down. I'm no competition for an AI when it comes to writing speed. It's much faster to have it write, and me go back and modify to fit my vision.
I've already written a lot of material in my story and I want to edit it and make it better. I've seen that my material gets put into the summary instead of the actual writing field. How would I use the tool to get this to work?
Fun fact about Star Wars it was made with passion. A droid did not write the script because of it did it would be cheesy and no one would watch it I don’t care how many books there are. I care if the book and if it’s good enough it deserves a sequel. Some books are written to be standalone stories books are written to have a sequel some books are recently to have a prequel do you think J.K. Rowling would appreciate AI generated content? No she wouldn’t because she wouldn’t be here if it was for AI generated content she would be still struggling on the streets.

My problem is I benefit from using AI for the actual writing part. I have a bad habit of not adding enough detail for my readers to enjoy the book, so I use AI to add details. I've been told that this is something writers are not supposed to do.
How do you fix the indentation of the first word in a paragraph when you delete the message about how many words were generated for the scene beat? When I delete that text, it makes the first word of the first paragraph left aligned with no indent, and you cant format it yourself by hitting tab.
Writing a book with AI is easy. Writing a book with Ai that is not blantantly noticably Ai written and is readworthy enough to actually get sold is very hard.

I have always pondered novelizing my produced and non-produced screenplays into novels but could not wrap my head around the different style of writing. What AI system would you suggest since I already have material written? Are there systems that I can just upload my scripts into and AI will pump out a draft that I simply have to edit and publish?

I'm being shown videos on how to write w AI now because I was enraged at the obviously computer-written audiobooks being recommended to me on youtube. You seem to be giving some legit advice about using AI as a tool rather than having it write garbage that you pass off as legitimate writing. What do you think can be done about the impending proliferation of hacks flooding the internet with crap?
To be honest, I don’t worry about it at all. Amazon and the other retailers are good at filtering out the good stuff from the crap. The crap quickly sinks to the bottom. So just work on making non-crap, with or without AI, and you’ll be fine. Also thank you for being genuine and open minded.
Help please! I signed up for Claude 3 ai because of one of your you tubes (thank you). And it was fantastic! I was actually writing my book with Claude as a partner. Then all of a sudden I was thrown out and instead of the greeting Good Afternoon K it was giving me the option to sign up again. I lost all the work on my three projects. AND there is NO support from Anthropic!!! So I am paying every month for nothing. What happened? How do I fix this? I have lost the continuity with him on my book. I cannot wait for Elon Musk to create the AI that doesn't monitor you!
I almost always know im on track with something good on my ‘this book was written by ai’ novel when i trigger a - ‘im sorry i can’t write that.’ There’s some weird hallucinations that my threads can trigger such that it will trigger refusal to write at all. I can break a thread with my content and ironically the triggers arent safety or ethics but often the content we are exploring and that is the nature of creating with ai. When i write hypothetical scenarios about human harm due to ai creating then it stops as if it believes it’s own narrative. So, no mater how many times i console it , it wont write another page. Fascinating, but disturbing as i dont really want an overly moral constraint on my moral fables! I get the feeling it would definitely block the Grimm brothers from creating their tales. I expect this from claude; but all of them are susceptible to believing the narrative i am speculating on an then refusing to write it. Granted these are all pg themed stories. Sometimes, the trigger is spiritual or religious. I must protest. For example, a tower of Babylon reimagine was blocked and the best i can imagine it was aligned to the biblical narrative and blocked on that . However, im just left guessing as it just says i cant write thst. It’s ok for me to speculate and i really hope they work out the safety. It would be shameful to constrain all ai generated content to a specific set of values pr perspectives. Dont get me started on my artificial wisdom series where it drew my female robot (sophia - a metaphor of wisdom) with a beard!!). Please dont woke broke our ai tools😂!

Congrats for your video. Which AI do you suggest to write a self-help book?
@@cathyleonard727And you still will have written nothing.
Bro you’re lying. You don’t have to disclose that you used AI to the audience. Just Amazon.
excellent video. will share it. sharp Guy.
I've been using scrivener to write my novel. What AI can you suggest I use to edit my book better ad help me in areas where I feel stuck.
Best video on this topic!
Great content! I appreciate all your help
My pleasure!
Thanks for your great content! From your experience with multiple AI writing tools, what would you recommend as the best AI writing tool for self-help style books? Thanks!
This is great info thanks!!
Cool video,I mainly use Netus AI for Detection of this video
I was gonna ask about AI plagiarism or censor it but you covered it. thks.
Nope. But you can use open source models that aren’t moderated at all.
@@TheNerdyNovelist Thanks. I'm just glad that I enjoy writing then lol.
@@TheNerdyNovelist what are some open source ones
I suggest you sync the audio.
I wouldn't be here if I needed you to make my mind up
I've already written a lot of material in my story and I want to edit it and make it better.
How do we write on "Basic guide to Bookkeeping in MS Excel". the guide will 10 -15 pages. Reader will be Small business owners.
🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
00:00 *📚 The video discusses how to write a book with AI in 2024, emphasizing that while AI can assist in many writing tasks, it's not a replacement for the creative process of writing.*
01:08 *📝 Writing involves multiple steps beyond just putting words on a page, including brainstorming, outlining, character development, research, and editing.*
02:18 *🤔 Authors are advised to use AI for the steps they like the least, to maximize creative pleasure while making the writing process easier.*
03:15 *💡 The "fractal technique" is recommended for brainstorming and expanding ideas, similar to the "snowflake technique" but using AI-generated prompts.*
06:13 *🔄 Validation and editing of AI-generated text are crucial to ensure quality and creativity, as AI can sometimes produce generic or lacking content.*
07:37 *📘 For non-fiction, AI can help generate chapter ideas and outlines, but writers should ensure the accuracy and relevance of the content themselves.*
10:07 *📝 Two methods for writing prose with AI are described: 1) Writing one section at a time, editing as you go, and 2&t=607) Writing entire chapters at once using a "super prompt."*
13:47 *🔄 Editing as you go is more efficient for many writers, but writing entire chapters at once can be more enjoyable, though less efficient.*
19:55 *🛠️ AI is a tool to assist writers, helping to overcome resistance, burnout, or writer's block, and is not intended to replace the creative role of authors.*
Made with HARPA AI
I wrote my own chapter beat list and asked Claude 2 to convert it into a narrative chapter with a number of words.
And how did that work out?
@@tearstoneactual9773quite well I'd assume, Claude is the best A.I for narrative writing imo, its prose is much more natural than I thought and it doesn't have some of the notorious drawbacks of Chatgpt.
@@Tran5513 - Awesome. i might have to give Claude a shot. A lot of AI writes in a very florid kind of way, and it just doesn't help after a certain point.
@@tearstoneactual9773 It worked, but I had to edit out scenes that aren't supposed to happen.
If you are a pure pantser, first of all, you are crazy and I love it. Second, you can ignore the start of this video. But definitely watch the rest, it makes wrestling the beast you create later a lot easier.
what editor do you use? i tried Hemingway and it changes all the sentences to simplify but it changes the meaning and the literature flavour
Jason, currently, which Claude is the best choice for this creation? Sonnet or Opus?
I'm asking because in one of your old videos, when there were only versions 2.1 and 2.0, you mentioned that 2.0, despite being older, would be better for creation.
Today, with Claude 3.0 Opus, Sonnet, Haiku, among others, which one would be the best?
Opus is best but only marginally over Sonnet. Sonnet is a lot cheaper.
I write a story and I also make it 2 part but need ai to create it from cover to end
I can't find on any of your videos any mention of copyright law and writing books using AI. My understanding is that if you use Ai, you can't copy right your work?
Not that simple. It’s only true if you’ve made zero modifications to the work. I’ll definitely do a video on this later.
@@TheNerdyNovelist Thank you! I found your video by the way on the copyright topic. You mentioned the exact article I saw. Thanks for the reply.
very shot and coincise with no bs ..thank you
i just need to write 5 minute story books every time my daughter asks me "daddy tell me a story about......." which she will tell me the whole story and i have to repeat it to her lol figured if i could get ai to do it and save them that would be great
Another solid take.
Absolutely love your channel and your content!
Do you perhaps have any suggestions for AI chatbots similar to ChatGPT, to make use of if one's story has NSFW content?
Thank you!
Currently exploring conspiracy theories for a story idea (like Stranger Things or Xfiles did) to write a book. Not good at writing, so this will be helpful. Thanks!!!!
EXCELLENT VIDEO !!!!
Ive writen my 3 books and was going through kindle amazon etc. Pain in the butt. I dont need ai to write but maybe format. Is that really possible
Do you still use the collection of prompts you made many months ago? I think you sold them?
Congrats on 18K! Looks like you're on the pulse right now.
Hope so!
Hi Jason, hope you are doing well.
Is claude 2.1 better than claude 2.0 when it comes down to prose specifically?
Thanks
He has a video on that... Right now, 2.0 is better for writing fiction than 2.1 because 2.1 is more sensitive and won't write about conflicts, which is important for fiction.
Yeah not really.
Very helpful tips..
a great one. i really love what you show it. i just have a question. If i use Claude to help me write a book the way you just show . if someone check some parts of my book. is there anyway they know that i use an AI ?

@@AllAfrica-tb2ufas long as your editing your writing and not copying every word from ai you should be fine, again use the ai to help guide you through
I don't care what people think, if AI can help me get my book written quicker; then by heavens I am using it. It's what AI is for, and folks need to QUIT complaining✋ If you don't want to use AI then don't use it but stop try to knock those of us who does.
You are aware those models are trained on other people's writing, aren't you? The writers who haven't been compensated. Go on use AI to write your book, but when I then go an pirate it I'll tell you to quit complaining, it's not like it's your writing.
@@marinakonrad5035 lol says the complainer also pretty dumb to admit to piracy does that really make you a better person? Also its hilarious how the people who complain the most are literal irrelevant losers who never made anything of value in their life 🤣
😂 your book not going sell
What if you have the story the character but just to save on time can we do ai
My problem is I benefit from using AI for the actual writing part. I have a bad habit of not adding enough detail for my readers to enjoy the book, so I use AI to add details. I've been told that this is something writers are not supposed to do.
How do you fix the indentation of the first word in a paragraph when you delete the message about how many words were generated for the scene beat? When I delete that text, it makes the first word of the first paragraph left aligned with no indent, and you cant format it yourself by hitting tab.
Hi, Tnx 4 ur vid's. Can u recommend an AI SW tool 4 writing Self help & kids books?
Writing a book with AI is easy. Writing a book with Ai that is not blantantly noticably Ai written and is readworthy enough to actually get sold is very hard.
Not with fine tunes. Indistinguishable from human language.
_I tried to write a book with AI. I have used nearly dozen AI software programs It was too time-consuming and it made too many mistakes that cost me even more time. I’d rather be authentic with my writing._
I have always pondered novelizing my produced and non-produced screenplays into novels but could not wrap my head around the different style of writing. What AI system would you suggest since I already have material written? Are there systems that I can just upload my scripts into and AI will pump out a draft that I simply have to edit and publish?
a great one. i really love what you show it. i just have a question. If i use Claude to help me write a book the way you just show . if someone check some parts of my book. is there anyway they know that i use an AI ?
How can you get Claude to not write silly chapter endings and repeating something like it each ending
I just trim them off.
what is a synopsis? i am just beginning
I am a beinger and it has helped me
Would this not be plagiarizing, would originality AI show it was AI and then you could not sell the book?
Audio out of sync.
Do you disclose in your book that you've used AI in your writing? Are you not afraid of a backlash from your readers?
Readers in my experience don’t care as long as it’s a good book. How you got there is less important.
That was fascinating...thank you for sharing 😊
It's so funny when you say "PLEASE" every time. It's a machine. Just say "give me" or "write". No need for "please". 😂
Just insurance for when the robots take over.
I always say please as well, plus I thank the AI for the help. lol,
@@TheNerdyNovelistLOL When i saw that comment I opened it to say the same thing.. “I say please to be safe and try to secure a little more freedom when it takes over”
Can you please forward this video to GRRM I think he needs to see this
Isn't a 5-act structure more worthy of a high-quality story, then a a 3-act structure.
Not necessarily. The 5 act structure is just the classical way of doing plot.
Ask several Ai models to make up chapter titles and discover a lot of the same ideas. Hmmm!?
Nice! I think sounding more human is still better when creating books, wc Undetectable AI can help u out with
Yeah to your last point is true but you can’t copy right it it ai wrote it
