Thank you for Replying and yeah I bout the actual switch for fog lights from Japan and I also check the fuse and it’s fine I check the plugs with a multimeter and they don’t have pawer at all.
You should look into doing RGB in those. I went with vent grilles in black and btw those are driving lights at best. Fog lights are almost always yellow as this isn't reflected as much as white lights. I went low in the OEM center grille spots with PIAA LP-530 3.5" LED driving lights. I didn't bother with the Toyota OEM ones as they're junk.
my big problem with those is that there aren't so bright, or at least the ones i got from ebay. im trying to find customs ones but cant find anything, and yes a little parts are expensive for this car man.
You're right, they aren't bright and you will have to make your own cause they didn't make much for the 2.5 gen. I added them for the appearance and not really for function.
@@OilandGears i ended doing the same, only way to have some bright ones is to manually customize those with more powerful leds because that socket does not have any other options. and here in my country with the floods of constant rains i have them burned soo easy. last ones only lasted 3 months lol
I have a 2011. Im replacing the dront bumper cover, radiator support and headlights. Im leaving off the kenstyle front. My qustion is will layer uear srls fit in tje prrs where the summy plugs go?
TY Oil and Gears, we have learned a lot from your mods on the Gen 2 and have done a couple small mods using your videos. My 16 year old recently got his first car - a 2011 xB and I’m on the fence about buying aftermarket fog lights (the yellow LED ones found on eBay). I would rather do what you did AND use the daytime running LED drop ins BUT how effective do they work as fog lights? The reason I ask, in all my other cars the fog lights are a relatively intense light and spaced out low+wide. It is not pinched in the middle like the ones I can easily wire up for the xB. Also, in the mix for my son’s ‘11 are some potential suspension upgrades like a rear sway bar and strut brace coupled with some budget sound upgrades. I will have to explore your video archive to see if you have tackled this too on your 2011.
That's great to hear and thank you for the support! I haven't done anything to the gen 2 suspension other than lower the back with Tanabe springs. You can check that out on my Instagram of the same name. There are suspension products for the gen 2. I've enjoyed Raceland coilovers on my gen 1 and they sell then for the gen 2. If you want true fog lights then I wouldn't do what I did. The DLR are really just for extra lights during the day. There are some DYI videos for the gen 2 fog light installations. Hope this helps!
Hello brother . I saw the video cause I wanted to put those daylight running lights on my XB 2012 and I did it exactly how you did, but it didn’t work for some reason the plugs are for the fog light don’t have power did you have to something else? If you can give and idea please .
Thank you very much for the illustration, greetings from Puerto Rico
No problem, thanks for the support! My co-worker has been telling me I need to take a trip to Puerto Rico!
One of the best Countries to Vacation and the best Beaches

greetings if you could make an illustrative video how to change the bulbs of the scion xb 2nd generation mirrors
Interesting, I did do it for the 1st gen. It may be the same.

Sorry, the typing of your question was a bit jumbled. Can you ask again?

You may want to see if there is a fuse out and make sure the hazard switch is working.
You took the black lid off ?
Yes
