China is having a lot of internal problems right now, there has been protests due to their real estate bubble bursting and banking system failure in certain areas of the country. USA is backing them up. Let me say this ☝️. If you were asking someone to "defend" you or " have your back". There not going to pick your fight, they are not gonna let you lose. You have to defend yourself for an intervention. They really was just not saying nothing " directly" to China, they always had to speak through a third party. You hear on the news " Taiwan feels like they've been disrespected" . Why can't Taiwan say they feel disrespected. Why can't respond? Not respond back after the fact. They see what they need to do military now. They got weapons and more shit from us. So... We got there back, but they gotta defend themselves, talk shit back to them. In my opinion it's obvious maybe it's their tactics to calculate any circumstances, so Taiwan should be always alert and prepared all the time, specially on their seashore and on their air Teritory. Their Navy and Air force should stay focus.

The PRC will invade Taiwan sometime in the next 15 years. Before that happens, they need to finish the pipeline to accept Russian oil. They will also need increase its current stockpile of strategic metals. Taiwan will fisght back and will be joined by the US, perhaps Japan and Korea. If the war widens, Russia and Iran, and perhaps Pakistan get involved pulling India into the conflict. That will result in a world war, and perhaps use of tactical nukes. The PLA does not have much experience since they got whopped by Vietnam, but they are itching for a chance to prove themselves. This will happen, but not today. The US needs to build a few more attach submarines, and keep them silently around the PRC.

1) In 1894, Japan invaded China and Korea, the Qing gov was defeated and signed the [Treaty of Shimonoseki] to cede Taiwan Island to Japan.
2) During the WW2, at the Cairo Conference held in 1943, China asked the transfer of Taiwan's sovereignty back to China after the war. This content was included in the [Cairo Declaration] and later reiterated in the [Potsdam Proclamation] that it should be implemented.
3) On 14 Aug 1945, the Emperor Showa of Japan issued the [End War Edict] , Japan surrendered unconditionally and accepted the [Potsdam Proclamation]. The Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces, Marshal MacArthur ordered the Japanese troops in Taiwan to surrender to KMT General Chiang Kai Shek. Taiwan re-entered the territory of the Republic Of China (ROC).
4) Soon after that China civil war broke out between KMT and CCP, the KMT was defeated and fled to Taiwan. However, due to US intervention, the CCP without a strong navy at that time has no ability to unify Taiwan. The CCP then established the People's Republic of China (PRC) on 1949. The civil war continues...
5) In 1971, UN Resolution No. 2758 ruled that the PRC had obtained the representation rights and all legal rights originally owned by the ROC in the UN. That means the PRC is China’s only legal gov under international law, and today the PRC also become China’s only legal gov recognized by 180 countries around the world, including the USA.
"The USA recognizes the Government of the PRC as the sole legal Government of China. Within this context, the people of the USA will maintain cultural, commercial, and other unofficial relations with the people of Taiwan."
Joint Cummunique on the Establishment of Diplomatic relations between the PRC and the USA (December 16 1978)
6) Therefore, according to international law, international reality, and the wishes of the 1.4 billion Chinese people, Taiwan should return to PRC and the PRC have every rights to protect it's sovereign integrity.

Our achievement in all areas, full democracy and peaceful transition from authoritarianism, semiconductor expertise, highly educated workforce, universal health care, extreme low crime rate, highest recycling rate, legalized LGBTQ rights, top press freedom, generous charity contribution, all and all, and I am not even talking about our economy. Up to this time, China was too weak to answer strongly. They had to swallow American insults. But it comes the time when enough is enough. And Americans play fools and pretend they are surprised why China reacted decisively. The Americans never listen to what other people say. They pretend they don't understand what the red line means. They didn't listen to Russia and now didn't listen to China. Also tried India to impose sanctions on Russia even though it was against India's core interests.

And the ROC was once in control of China. So in fact the mainland belongs to Taiwan.
