- Beautiful and somewhat rare Tokarev handgun. I am not aware of any other country in the former Soviet Union making these, although I believe they were used by other countries. I would like to get ahold of a set of the brass inserts one day. I have not tried it out yet, but it looks like fun.
That's a very interesting firearm and one that I've never heard of before! The way it chambers a 22LR round is quite unique.
It certainly takes the easy route to create a .22 from a standard TT-33. Those sleeves and a change in barrel is a pretty simple design. Thanks again AYMilitaria!
I love the idea of collecting cheap surplus firearms as much as anyone but even though the Sportowy isn’t one you would shoot often I would get annoyed if I lost even one 7.62x25 insert haha 😂
luckily I am able to purchase new made brass inserts from a machinist an hours drive from my home. Otherwise it would be quite difficult to replace. Never mind losing any, these aluminum ones apparently don't last long either. Thanks Brandon!
@@gunnerjames1056 That’s good you’re able to get some, thanks for replying. Cheers!
@@User_Brandon Thanks so much for watching and commenting Brandon!
exactly hahaha
Thanks for sharing. I've never seen a .22 Tok before.
I think a large number came into Canada about five years ago, but never made it to the US. Thanks USNA 98!
nice unusual piece
Not much out there on these. Thanks C J!
Never seen that sort of set up before, as in the aluminium adapter. I would imagine, as you stated that they would deform/go out of shape etc, that could probably cause a jam in the weapon. Nice pair of pistols though. 🙂🙂🙂🙂
Hi Stan, I think ejection is hard on them too. I might have to get a set of the brass adapters if I plan on doing much shooting with it. There condition amazes me. Thanks Stan!
I noticed the sportowy is less reliable with the aluminum . The brass do much better but harder to find
You're right. I have found a company in Wetaskiwin, Alberta that make them in brass. One day I hope to get a set. Thanks JayDoes!
I believe that polish made have best finish and color than a soviet made. What do u say ?
Yes indeed!
Where can i get one? In the states?
Very good question, but a tough one to answer. I had been looking for an 1895 Nagant pistol for years. Seams the US got them all. I luckily found one for sale on a local gun board .after about five years of searching. You never know. Good luck Jeffrey and thanks for watching!
