When the Ken showcase accidentally turns into Stage 7 Boss Rage.
I believe that Max is developing a double personality:
- Exalted Max: "OOHHH THAAAT COMBO IS CRAZY", "WHAT A HELLLL!?!?!"
- Sedated Max: "ok, that's right", "ok, I'm sorry".
So that he does not think he's crazy, we'd better start calling them with different names. :)

People may laugh at this but EX Plus Alpha is one of my favorite SF games of all time. I absolutely loved this game as a kid back in the day and still love it now. It added a bunch of interesting, unique new characters, was fun to play, and had excellent music. EX+A was a big part of my childhood man.

Mine too. That's why when Fighting EX Layer was announced (or teased as a joke) I was flipping out. I needed that game, and lo and behold, Arika made it. So glad they did, but I'm just waiting on Fighting Layer characters to make it in next. I need to throw chairs with Exodus on Allen's head. ;)
I agree 100% man! Still easily one of my favorites! I love the songs. This is the game where I spent like half a day trying to learn how to do the raging demon.
Crump ~ Oddly enough this was the first game I could ever do the Shungoku Satsu on, lol. I had no idea how to do it for so long until I read on GameFAQs that you had to press the sequence really fast and then *BOOM* I did it. Then it did it with Skullomania, Sakura, Evil Ryu, and Kairi and had so much fun. ;)

DavidYun775 There’s a release timeframe between March and May of next year. One character will be released for free on March, and the other two will be released sometime in May, but one’ll be free and the other’ll be $$$
While they intentionally didn't confirm the specifics as to which character would fill which slot, Sharon has to be the March character. Then in May, it just is logical for Area to be the free one while Terry is paid DLC since he's a guest character.
The Ironsaints I agree. Sharon has to be first since her gameplay and model looks to be complete, with just a couple more tweaks needed. And plus, from what I’ve heard, since Terry is a guest, they gotta pay back SNK for their generous permission

Both Ryu and Ken use that animation. It's from Street Fighter The Movie The Anime. In EX2, Ken goes back to the standard Tatsu, while Ryu keeps the new one.

Fun fact: The LK Tatsu IS actually useful as it lifts your opponent each time you connect the kick. If you can land the first hit, rekka-ing the rest gives you some time to think while your opponent goes higher and higher along with you with every kick.

Guile theme best, but yea mostly song in this game were amazing, i like sakura and hokuto themes too
Under Tube (Doctrine Dark's theme), Cold Pipe (Zangief's theme), Guardian of Light (Ken's theme), Strange Sunset (Guile / Allen Snider's theme) Stronger (Garuda / Evil Ryu's theme), and Future Objects (Cycloid Beta / Gamma theme) are my favorite themes of all time. This game has some of the most iconic music in a fighting game period and I'm glad Arika brought back a lot of the music into Fighting EX Layer. :)
it didn't came out in this particular video, but Tenkyaku Buka, the theme of Chun Li, is one of my favorites too. Its an awesome OST, as you said!

How did they manage to make Ken look Japanese in that ending cinematic but can't make Ryu look Japanese in any official Street Fighter game?
This is made by Arika who not only made a Mega Man game but is the dev for most the Dr Mario games.

It’s because the Japanese have a fascination with western features, they usually try to make their characters look western even if they’re supposed to be Japanese. Ryu in the Alpha series looks white.

Allen Snider is the guy that Ken beat to become American Champion during the events of Street Fighter 1. Allen then copied some of Ken's moves before going to find more strong people to fight.
He's also based off the younger Chuck Norris.

I would've, but they only published this and lent them the Street Fighter cast. ARIKA owns the rights. (Which is why there's no remixes of any of these songs in future SF games.)
I'm glad ARIKA is still around, and it would be sick if they could collab with Capcom to make an HD collection for the series. I doubt it'll happen but it'd be nice.
fuck yes because sf3 and sfex+a are my all time favorite fighting games because of the superb gameplay. i always fantasized an EX game where the parry system is applied. that'd make the *perfect* fighting game.
oh plus i LOVE the replays! this is the only SF where they have fuckin replays!
@@Numinor31 Another detail that caught my attention is that in the first game of the EX series, when you beat Akuma, the necklace is broken, this is very fun to watch, and only have in that game. The replay system is formidable as well.

Well ARIKA developed the Street Fighter EX series so of course it'd feel similar to Fighter EX Layer.
Speaking of which, is Fighting EX Layer ever getting a physical disc release for the US market?

3.) Probably not, since these games and the OG characters are owned by Arika, not Capcom. For Capcom to make an EX collection, or hell, even make an EX4, they’d need Arika’s permission

Also, I still think it would be nice if they did a a remaster collection of Street Fighter EX Plus α, Street Fighter EX2, and Street Fighter EX3 as that would give them reason to make a Street Fighter EX4 on the PS4.
xxnike629xx Yes, there was a physical release this month, but only in Japan, same with the Arcade version of the game. An international release is yet to be confirmed for both the Arcade version and the physical copy.
And as for an EX collection, it would be great to see those games again, but like I said, Capcom needs Arika’s permission to do so. Even if there will never be an EX4, Fighting EX Layer is doing well so far. Not bad for Arika going solo

My favourite feature of this game was the Watch mode, just setting the CPU to fight itself and flick through the various camera angles.
This game taught me every move. Raging demon with three meteors was amazing

The EX series are best played using a gamepad. They use mechanics best suited to high speed inputs which are best suited to pads rather than joysticks. The thumb is faster than the wrist after all.
Oh... And if you want to use more than one bar, then hit two or three kick/punch buttons when doing a super. More meteors and some other effects when finishing the opponent with them.
And where does the charge come from? In these games, you can buffer it during any attack's animation.
After Street Fighter 2 for the snes I didn't play another street fighter game until this one. I loved this game

you fought evil Ryu on Garuda's stage, evil ryu was at his best in this game, some characters have level 3's in 1 shot evil ryu/zangief I think scullomania has a raging demon too, its quite hilarious when he gets you with it, it might of been ex2, I forget. Remember to COMBINE your supers at the right time for more damage, even when the round is over with a level 1ko you can still combine all 3 supers anyway without using them up on the next round [if there is 1] combine supers if you can, blue for level 1 yellow when you connect with level 2 and red for level 3. Also remember to use kens roll, [down back punch. the strongest the punch the further the roll] use it on c jack you'll have a better time throwing him and combos. no acuma battle? that could be another video of its own. :P I love it when his necklace breaks ;). This was the best handing street fighter EVER, if you REALLY get to know this game, it was easy to combo and combine supers, a true masterpiece. I don't bash the graphics since this game originally came out in 1996, [I was 16 so I guess I'm old :P] I liked cheap 3D games for its time, it really was its own era of "videogames" then ps2 everything was 3D and its been zzz ever since. a variety in games is always good.

You can do level 3 by canceling the first and second super, shinryu cancel before leaving the ground with sharyurepa cancel with shinryu again and thats level 3

agreed, that character select screen is some crap design on Arika's part. not only for the offscreen characters, but also for the character use percent gauge there. it kinda influences you to try everyone in the wrong way.
