Could you please, please react to Climax Blues Band "I Love You " live 1981? I know you'll both love it and put it on your playlist. It's a great song and it'll bring love into your eyes. 🙌🙌🤣
You are so right , a different time , era , world.
I absolutely loved these times of my life.. people weren't offended by everything..
70s baby..we kicked ass, and were cool as hell!
This is from a Funky White Boy, you guys are so entertaining and fun to watch.
Those days kicks the shit out of these days.
It’s the disco era of the seventies….those were the styles!
This is primarily funk, but also check out KC AND THE SUNSHINE BAND for another mixed race group of the time that played what could be called funk disco!
This was from a show Midnight Special .
Brother on the trumpet has some mad twirling skills!
He is awesome!
That was the 70's where everybody was gettin expressive(hairstyles, clothing)
Those two cats in back are cool as hell!!!!!
This song was based on a true story they was a rock & roll band in Ohio and was playing a club in Cleveland .The club was hoping for something funkadelic in the audience a brother shouted the now- famous lyrics and the rest is history 🥰I’m 63 and feel young again listening and watching reactions ✌️
1970's style baby!!!!!
The ability to funk is not dependant on skin color. It is the combined skill 😊
Maybe old, but good music doesn’t get old
In the UK, the 70's were about people not colour or race. The music drew us all together to party.
When my sister and I went dancing in the 70s, we called that style, Medallion Men. 😁
One of the greatest "funk" songs ever! This and Dazz Band - Let It Whip...I play the extended versions of both for my cardio on the treadmill :)
I may be old, but we had the best music and drove the best cars. This generation will never be as cool as their grandparents.
At 8:35 when he says “I want to take you higher” he pays homage to Sly and the Sylvester Stone … roller skated to this song back when life was simpler
Dear God! That was 48 years ago.... I was 22 when this song came out. How did I get this old?
Almost everybody had soul back in the day I’m glad you’re enjoying this. There’s so much more to listen to than just these guys. I hope you listen to everything from the 70s because it was pretty far out and fantastic.
Oh my god -- there is nothing about this band that could be described with the term hippie. They say if you remember the 60s you weren't there, but I do remember enough to know hippies are very different from these guys. ✌️
Yes. DISCO FUNK miss these days of music lol
I would say hippies were more like flower children... These guys were more like rock stars
This was disco...a different animal from hippies completely.
This is the height of the DISCO ERA!
Dude on the bass layin it down! 👍🏽🇺🇸
i’m 14 & this is light favorite song , the oldie songs are just honestly the best.
U HAVE A BRAIN....AWESOME!!!
Gotta Love it!!! The 70's & 80's were the Best! Did you notice that the men & women got Fro's then? From my memory, It was a Salutation & a Complement from whites to our black brothers & sisters. The feeling was Unity Together. It was Great! So much love & togetherness.
Today, it seems that black youths & others view our past as an insult? They just don't know how united & happy we were. It was a Celebration of Blacks & Whites Uniting Together. It was soooooooo Very Awesome back then!
Life today is so negative & divisive. Wish our culture & unity had stayed the same as then. I feel Blessed to have lived those days. ..Unity & Freedom for All. We all had so much Peace, Love & Joy. Sad that it went away.
Same here in UK. Miss those days.
I am loving this video. You two are great with your reactions. I grew up listening to this type of music. Thank you for the memories.
So here’s the true story about this song, confirmed by Donnie Iris(a former member) after an interview at the studio of Cool 101 in Meadville, Pennsylvania. The lead singer at the time was dared in a bar somewhere in Pittsburgh to write a song between sets(15 minutes) and this became their biggest hit. By the way welcome down here!
Their only big hit, a true one hit wonder!
Keep your eye on the black guy in the back that's playing the horn cuz here in a couple he does an awesome spinning of the horn man it is best horn spin I've ever seen.
I just love to see you guys in your reaction I've been listening to this since I was a kid in Detroit at the roller rinks I think I was the only white boy that knew how to have some moves to this kind of music and all the chocolate Honeys were just looking at me wow look at that white boy move I think I was probably about 10 or 11 years old maybe 12. My sister taught me early in life about the birds and the bees
Live ! Real art and talented !!!
I happen to listen to Hippy Radio. I like that old time music from my youth. I listened to this song on AM radio before the transition to FM . Back then FM was relegated to literally elevator music. music they played as mood music in elevators. we used to tune two AM radios on either side of the station for stereo effect
Ahhhh, "The Midnight Special." Our MTV, every Friday night.
i just love it.. you get into it.. 'play that funky music'
Classic!! Love it love y'alls reaction!
We were hippies, had a ball in the 70's! It's called "disco"!
I saw that performance on TV on Midnight Special!
Fun fact, the thick chest hair "all out" was referred to as "hamburger meat" back in the day.
Ya’ll are fun to watch! ♥️You got a new subscriber.
I remember that song when I was first stationed in California in I think 1976 - 78, while in the USAF. I think every NCO club played it at least once a night and I remember seeing a terrible rendition of it done by a local live band at the NCO club at a radar station as well. Real fun song and it used to get everyone involved. Anything by Earth, Wind and Fire used to be very popular as well.
Thanks for this videos! I brings back maybe fun memories.
I was one of the dads that told my kids about this song. Love it.
Please make reaction to Diana Ankudinova - the most unique young talented singer.
One of my favourite things to find and enjoy is music that gives me chills and goosebumps. I was cruising UA-cam recently and discovered a Russian talent show contestant that did just that, with one of the best, most unique voices I've heard in many years. Her delivery was nothing short of magical and I searched out more and more and more, and...more chills.
I was stunned to find that the first performance I heard was when she was 14!!!! She's now 17 and still developing. She sings in Russian, French, English and Arabic.
The covers she performed on that show are very popular on UA-cam. Many UA-camrs publish reactions on these performances, which include the ethnic song "River" (in a new musical arrangement), "Blizzard", "Wicked Game", "Human", "Derniere Danse", "Helwa Ya Baladi" and others.
Please react to one of Diana's songs and I promise she will surprise you.

Thats the 70s baby
Thx guys I enjoyed that 👍☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️
The rare disco song with a real guitar solo.
The trumpet guy did it with one finger awesome
One word, "Superfly".
Like most people at the time, we all sang it as "Play that fuckin' music white boy".
Classic dance track to get down to.
Great reaction. 👏
the woman introducing the band was Helen Reddy.. she herself was an accomplished singer with "I Am Woman (Hear Me Roar)" in 1971 which became an anthem for the feminist movment.
This song came out in 1976.
I was today years old when I found out that the group Redbone famous for their hit Come and Get Your Love are Native American and not black
Great music and sounds great it be anytime in history great music last forever great live
This. Was. Great. !! I’m 66 yo, bass player. I played in a show/funk band in the late 70’s and 80’s. We covered this tune!! Also Earth, Wind and Fire, Tower of Power and Chicago!! Side note: I’m a white boy with a natural fro and a lot of funk!! 😎
You guys are funny it was a great time to be a teenager
You serious?? I never knew the singer was wh....e... Yes sir, music can unite us!! LUVIT!!!!
When music was fun!
This is FUNK!
Listen to the words...he was a rock n roll singer n it didn't feel right so he disgo down to check out the show n so he tried disco n everyone loved him n yelled ...PLAY THAT FUNKY MUSIC WHITE BOY! These guys weren't hippies...they were disco n their clothes were 70's....n you got it right....this was THEIR voices...NOT singers like today that can't sing live because their real voices sound nothing like their recorded voices...too bad! Loved your reactions...just subbed
After an incident onstage the Lead Singer wrote this in response.
Nobody on stage seen color breath of fresh air
You really need to watch the midnight special episodes they are so awesome. Most of them are on UA-cam. You will not be disappointed
This was one of those songs I asociate with the skating rink with are elephant bell bottoms chrome chain belts blue jean jackets that we took outside an blasted a couple times with a 12 gauge shotgun then threw in the washer an dryer to give them that cool fraid look well we thought it was cool along with the hair halfway down are backs which is the only thing I still have from that era but my mother was born on a reservation in oklahoma so I've always had long hair my dad was white but had the matto it's on your head where it anyway you want but thanks for reacting to this an your right music brings people together I think sports does as well an sadly combat the bond you foam with those men there your brothers doesn't matter what color there skin is but thanks for the trip down memory lane love you guys see you on the next one 🎶🎵🤟
Just subscribed. You guys are a lot of fun!!!
it is from a better time in the world.
You guys are The Best reactors on YT !!!👏🏼👏🏾👏🏻💕
Surprise!!
Playing the guitar AND singing at the same time is incredibly difficult. I've played since the late 60's so I know. I have waaaaay more respect for musicians that can do both simultaneously.....like Aretha...
Back then hairy chest was MANLY!!!!!!
i was 3 months old when this came out. i'm 45 now and it's still kickass, groovy, funk with that killer axe melting solo. \m/ here's here's a link to an interview with lead vocals, rob and the true story about the song. ua-cam.com/video/2Hfe8-MAnXE/v-deo.html
I think they played that music right!
It was the 70s baby & we didn't go in with all of this race crap. We "ALL" partied together, teased each other and had great times together! Everybody went to the same clubs! At least in Morgantown, West Virginia we did! God I miss the 70s!!!
Watch the trumpet
Those were the days when people were happy. Solid Gold, Soul Train, etc. White boy from Maine loved all of the music. Politics was far off in the distance. No one trusted any politician, so we just carried on. Social Media has driven everyone mad. And people believe in politicians. That's crazy. When will we be free again? Never! Game Over.
Thats the 70s for you.
Lol!! You two are wonderful, but I will tell you this (As a white guy) when I first heard this song break loose in the 70's growing up I was shocked myself that it was a white guy singing it, lol! Lol! So you are not alone as well, all good though much love to you both!!!
Hah hah, same! This was our funk dance jam back in '76 when it came out.🤣 Rob Parissi, who originally formed the band back in the early 70's did a second round with some different band members in 1975, and this was released in 1976. It was sort of a one-hit wonder, but Rob went on after the band finally broke up in 1979 to write and work with other artists
The way they was dressing was mainly on stage outfits. I'm from the hood of Brooklyn we definitely wasn't walking around looking like that.
This song was hot in 1976.
Evolution 😂
this is the only reaction channel that matters
You should react to Cult of Personality by Living Color.
I am a huge fan of Living Colour and they are genre-crossers too. You take a lot with you when you do that and they have amazing songs with stories to tell that are still timeless @vernonreid!
What I love about this song is most people do NOT get White Funk
I need that shirt!!!!!!!!!
No such thing as AUTO TUNE either lol...I love those two horn guys ...they're the highlight besides the guitar solo lol
I remember that being out. I thought they were black...lol
You can't sleep on those 70s white guys with those perms.
da best!!!
I'm not sure? But the bloke playing the double, was the guy playing with Santana at Woodstock?
Listen to Black & White 3 DOG NIGHT and KC & the Sunshine every song was FUNKY there’s hundreds of bands back then that were AMAZING hard & soft rock funky just so much heart warning HAPPY SONGS
War "Spill the wine" you guys will get down to it .
Dean Martin came from Stuebenville as well.
Please, make a reaction to the songs of the singer Diana Ankudinova.
1000000%!!!🔥🔥🔥🎤🎤🎤🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶.......Diana-beauty in every minute!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Enjoyed your reaction. If you like funk, check out Grand Funk- Inside Looking Out live.
That's the 70's
The story is is that they were in a rock and roll band but they didn't quite make it I guess in their state and they were kind of too funky people said that's what I read so they knew the R&B was getting real hip at the time so they flipped it and they decided to do R&B music and the rest is history
Saw a comment the other day said 1970 pay £5 to watch and hear a band play live 2023 pay £100 to watch and hear someone play a laptop
PLEASE FOR HKUR OWN ENJOYMENT GOTTA WATCH PRINCE DO THIS PLUS HOLLYWOOD SWINGING AND FANTASTIC VOYAGE LIVE AT STAPLES CENTER……it’s the bomb 💣
