    Going from a Weller 1010na to a t12 station was a big help in learning microsoldering.. going from a t12 to this t420d with all 3 handles was game changing. If you repair electronics and want one of the best units available get this one! Worth more than what it sells for.

    I was looking at this irons a while back. I believe to use the foam pieces you would remove the blue rubber handle part.

    For phone repair I will stick to my Aixun T3B. Impressive station. I see no use in a 245 or 115 handle in this business. I would maybe like 2 handles so I don’t have to switch tips so often. But lately my conical tip broke it’s tip about 1 mm and now it’s perfect for everything 😊

      @VCCBoardRepairs  2 роки тому +2

      Haha yes. I was in the same boat as you. But I think having 2x T210 handles would work great. One with knife tip & one with conical.
      We'll see!

    this location you are trying to put the handle is for the c115 type handle it hangs from the back i recommend to you buy it and forget the c210 you will see how much more precise will be your soldering i use 1 jbc whit 2 c115 handles and 1 aixun t3a for the c245 handle best setup possible major part of the soldering i do whit c245 and only use the c115 on the precision needed times

    • @arcilonjr
      @arcilonjr 2 роки тому +2

      and because the c115 hangs from the back you will not hit the tip on the metal holder like happens whit the c210 i lose about 3 tips in the beginning of use the c210 so i buy one jbc extension that let the same station use 2 handles both c115 and after that i buy the aixun t3a for the heavy work because it’s tips is much cheaper so my setup is perfect for our job as a mobile phone technician

    Temperature recovery is THE difference between a hobbyist iron and a professional grade iron. The fact you can get these with that feature at that price is very impressive. The barrier to entry just got much lower. (for comparison my Weller base station without the irons is more than this set up with everything you need)

      Maybe one of yas put a word in to axiun for not honoring the warranty on the t3b. It ate every 210 I threw at it. Real jbc, their own, every other knock off and told me I didn't know what I was doing

      @@jstro-hobbytech I been using the t3b with t115 and t210 handle and no issues at all , I know lots of people who got it without issues so don’t know why you had issues, it’s upto everyone if they want original jbc or ones that are compatible with jbc tips, these stations are not illegal so it’s upto the individual what they want to use, I got original jbc station, 2 metcal stations , Hakko station, weller station and 4 china ones that use jbc tips, I got one that uses jbc tips which runs off powerbank aswell, all work great to be honest.

    Can this station handle cleaning and soldering HDMI ports on consoles? Specially the mounting brackets that hold the HDMI in place on the motherboard. I can easily clean those up with my Hakko. But I would like to upgrade to something like this.

    There is no comparison to the JBC station. The temperatures are accurate and doesn't drop much on small tips, which is great use in phone repairs. It is expensive as though. I paid mine for $1700., but it makes repairing jobs much easier.

    • @VCCBoardRepairs
      @VCCBoardRepairs  Рік тому

      Yeah of course it won't be the same as a JBC, but seems pretty close & no complaints on the performance and quality of the Aixun.

  • @uki352
    @uki352 Рік тому

    Thanks for the review! The Aixun store doesn't feature any products at the moment... Probably only due to Chinese holidays? Or the German tax system, so they do not sell directly to Germany? There are other stores that sell the station.
    Second question, does anyone know a similar quality station with a tweezers handpiece? 90% of my repair and restoration work is SMD caps and SMD resistors, so a single handed dual iron configuration would be very handy.

    Hi, could you answer: I just bought this T420D with T210 iron and any temp higher than 230oC like 280/300 make tips oxidized very quick, do you have same in your device?. I made calibration adjustments to be sure the temp is OK. For my older soldering stations yihua I setup around 300oC and that was ok for soldering (melting) mainboards of phones and tips wasn't became oxidized for a long time. This T420D can boil water but with such low temp (220/230oC) I can't solder much more grounded boards and when I set higher temp like 300oC the iron "I" doesn't take solder tin and I have to clean it using scalpel. The K tip died faster. I tested Ultra (high golden end of tip) tips and standard tips and ultra are better for heat transportation but same with oxidized issue. What temp do you set on your T420D ? Thanks for help. I saw in this video (@time 22:50) You setup 380oC for Knife tip, but when i set 350 the K knife burnt all tin and become useless. Maybe You used JBC tips not aixun from T420D package?
