Thanks for the great video. I did some research on this (being a complete amateur) and read that on T5.1 (2010-2015) the diesel filter should to be filled completely first from VF port, because its a common rail engine and they dont like air in fuel system. I filled it until spill over before removing the old filter and when the new one was fastened to place I filled it again until spill over. Then no problem with the starting. I tried the priming once, and then started it and no problems 👍
We're sure your comment will be helpful to many of our viewers.
I'll try that.
Did you put some diesel in a bottle or something to fill it up?
@@jake-lx4eu Yes, I had a jerrycan with diesel in it and a small funnel. By the way, I tried the priming only once and then I accidentally turned the key too far and the engine started. But it is recommended in the video to do more than 1 priming.
@@warpmodeshop thank you for the quick reply sir!
Great Video-Thank you👌

Perfect.
Thanks for your positive comment! Stay with us!
Mistake. The new filter must be filled with diesel or an injection system cleaner additive before reconnecting because otherwise there will be an air pocket and it needs to be drained
Yes, you are absolutely right and we will definitely take this into account in our new videos.
AUTODOC
No you just need to prime and turn the engine some revoulitons,
👏🏻👍🏻
Hi , so does the 1.9 t5 have a guess pump in the tank to full up the filter?
In this case, the auto has a booster pump in the tank.
How long do you need to prime the diesel filter for? I suspect I've done it for too short of time now my vehicle stopped idling and doesn't want to start up again. Any advice?
It’s difficult to advise anything based on the description, we recommend contacting the car service.
Umm was the filter pre filled ? And do you just crank the key or just turn the ignition on
The car is equipped with a booster pump; when the ignition was turned on, the filter was filled with fuel.
😊
Alright then, how do I get the air out now that my vehicle died?
Guess I'll try to fill the filter and hope for the best.
Unfortunately, we do not have such information, we recommend that you consult with your mechanic.
AUTODOC
Fill with diesel at the VF port or a bottle of injector cleaner.
Isn't that why he turned the key to ignition a few times to prime the filter 🤔
Thanks. Started perfect
In a video from 2017 you guys admit in the comments that the filter needs to be pre filled. This one ua-cam.com/video/il4SNSQgEoU/v-deo.html
Why make a nearly identical video if the first one had wrong information?
You are right, this method will allow you to bleed the fuel system faster.
If you turn on the ignition in the first position for a few seconds, the filter will fill, as in this video
Thanks
