Yes, the swimsuits were designed to honor Catriona. However, the real inspiration were supposed to be a mash-up of the fire orchid and Cat's Adarna Gown (the gown she wore in her prelims) but the end result looked more like her famous Lava Gown.

@@eduardochavacano sometimes judges do. Usually in the US, that only happens if you’re a former Miss USA.

Yes. I was also a bit sad Maureen was not able to win Miss International. And yes, She and Hannah are the front runners for Miss International. It’s just the Age requirement in Miss International that knocked out Maureen’s opportunity. Whatever happens, we love Maureen and we love all the winners.

Maureen is still eligible for Miss International. She's not eligible for Grand and Intercon only.

@@Czech801 If that's what you want to believe. 😊 But regardless if Maureen is still eligible or not, Hannah will still win BBP-International. I placed Hannah as my predicted 1RU only (I correctly predicted Maureen for Globe), but Hannah just shone that night. Maureen is more of an MGI prototype.
I think the first runner up can be MUPH, this might be a blessing for her

Yes, but in an interview with Boy Abunda the day after the coronation, Gabby mentioned she wanted the Miss International crown. So I guess she'll join again next edition and it would be a great opportunity for her to be involved in BPCI even as a runner up.
@@DaniWalker Yup. But why do that if you're only 23, you have time on your side. Plus think of all the wonderful trainings side by side the 2021 queens she'll be exposed to. And of course, the cash prize. I think the best she can do is enjoy her year, hone her Q&A skills, get exposed to life experiences and plan ahead for her Miss Universe journey. There's a time and place for everything. As Pia once said, luck happens when preparation meets opportunity.

@@DaniWalker Yes because its a different organization. I doubt if she would cross over at this time. Gabrielle mentioned during a post pageant interview that she will return at BP perhaps next year. She further elaborated that she is only 23 and she is just starting and will fight to win the MIP title.
Impressed with Karen for taking the discussion away from the stupid question of Mr Abunda, and elevating it to a clear mental health talk. It means she understood herself more that she was able to lift the discussion to a higher level.
8:07 "Venezuelan queens" She does looks like a Venezuelan. She's actually represented the city of Valenzuela and Catriona called her as Venezuela instead of Valenzuela during the top 12 announcement.
Edit: And most people tell that Meiji (Miss Valenzuela) looks like Miss Universe Venezuela 2021.

Maureen turned 28 a day before the coronation night. Her chances for the MI crown were lost even before the competition proper started. But still, crowned queens all deserve it!!

This batch Dani was one of the toughest in recent years of BBP. Every candidate especially in the top 12 can compete internationally. The only downside when there’s a lot of topnotch beauties, is there is a lot of wasted beauties too.

Yes, the swimsuit resembles to Cat's evening gown in MU 2018 because one of designers of the suit was Mak Tumang and actually the designer of Cat's Lava Gown 🌋🧡

15:15 Miss Intercontinental is a pretty interesting pageant as well. You may wanna check the 2018 edition where Catriona's batchmate Karen Gallman won the title. So basically, Binibining Pilipinas won 2 international titles that year, MU & MIC. As always, great reviews Dani!

The swimsuits were supposed to be a mashup of fire orchids and the Adarna gown (Cat's Preliminary gown). But it just so happened that it really looked like the Lava gown after, still beautiful with the different styles. 🔥

Totally agree with you with regards to Pat Garcia. She needs to comeback and I guess it was just a very highly competitive edition of Binibini this year. Gaby confirmed she's returning next year and eyeing for MI (yehey!). I thought either Graziella Lehmann or Meiji will win MGI and I hope both will return as well. I know Karen needs to do some polishing with her walk but with that face, that shouldn't be wasted and who knows she'll be another Pia who made it after 3 attempts. These are the ladies that I think holds a lot of promise and definitely would return with aplomb!

Hello! Another great review! I loved this years competition because I felt like everyone’s giving their very best and you couldn’t really guess who’s gonna win.
Personally I loved Meiji, Honey and Gabby. I hope those who didn’t get a crown would join Miss Universe Philippines esp Patrizia.
I know Filipino fans are the ones who feed you with the idea of Miss International representative should be doll like girl, but I want to hear your opinion on this because I think Miss International is more than just having a doll face. The commonalities that I see among the winners are: demure, mix of fresh and mature, respectful. In 2018 Philippines sent an ultimate doll girl but finished 1st runner up.
I agree. Miss Manila could have gotten a title too for her overall performance. Maybe she should compete Miss universe Philippines as she has the potential.
