      Perfect answer. Plus he got paid to bring it on the show. An item like that will fetch viewers. Star Wars nuts like ME will want to see it. Honestly he should have it AFA graded and sold at one of the top auction houses. This is something that a person with unlimited $$ would bid like crazy on. Hell comics have gone for $200,000+. This being like one of a kind. Wow. This dude has a 3 3\4" retirement fund. Damn!

      Name's Bubba. Bubba Fett. I retired from intergalactic bounty huntin', just gettin' too old for it I reckon. Now I live on good ol' Planet Dag-o-bah, eatin' frawg legs and collecting Imperial social security while I'm at it. Naw it's not too much I reckon, but I never did need much more than Betty. Betty? Well, you may know her more by Slave One, but she makes a fine residence as well as a means a "gettin around". Doing my grocery shopping. Maybe a hooker from time to time.

    This is a classic example of them having a special item brought in for the show with no intention of it actually being sold. The owner was never going to let it go. He was paid by the show to bring it in so they could have content for the show. I bet it's still sitting in that guy's collection to this day.

    If it's 1 of 1 in its existence, it's priceless. You can come up with any number you want, but it doesn't mean it'll sell at that price. To be honest I think it can possibly sell for $500.000+ to the right buyer.

    People who are saying why would you pay $150,000 for a 'Toy' are clearly stupid. This is a one of a kind, prototype model of a character in a multi billion dollar business sector (Star Wars). I could bet there is some billionaire star wars fans out there who would pay into the millions to buy something like this.

    • @AnyoneCanSee
      @AnyoneCanSee 8 років тому +1

      +Vault Dweller - I agree, and the value probably just went up from it being on T.V. and referred to as the "holy grail," of Star Wars memorabilia. If you are a billionaire $150K is nothing to them. Also, it is a one of a kind, so the person who bought it can show it off to friends, and no one can else can say they have one. Star Wars is so big for so long that it isn't going away, so it will hold its value. Also people spend millions on rare postage stamps, and they are just a tiny piece of paper, so a $150,000 for this seems cheap by comparison.

      then when that billionaire die. Their heir will give the toy away to a charity or simply throw it in the garbage thinking it's not worth anything. That is why i never understood collecting. I collect 45 rpm records. I know very well they are not worth anything and when i die they will end up in the trash. I would rather spend money on experience now like traveling, owning my own buisness, pursue education.

    • @thedoverking7937
      @thedoverking7937 8 років тому
