It is so much fun to visit and most of the wildlife you can see without leaving the road. Dogs aren't allowed in the prairie dog towns so I took those pics plus the coyote and burrowing owl from my car.
Thanks, I didn’t know Canada had a grasslands park. I haven’t seem the prairie grasslands in the US since I was a little kid with family driving through Kansas. I hope to visit a few grasslands preserves in Kansas, Nebraska, & Oklahoma on a trip next year to experience them up close.
You're welcome! Most people don't know about it, even other Canadians. They always just go west to Banff because the prairies are "boring". But if you've ever been to north Montana, it's very similar. Kansas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma are states that we need to explore more so I'm definitely interested in hearing where you end up or any recommendations.
It’s true. There is indeed something about Grasslands that’s absolutely magical. And that’s coming from a mountain/ocean surrounded BC-er. All part of the wonderful diversity that makes our country the best place to live in planet Earth. Thanks for sharing. Oh, and thanks for observing Parks’ dog rules. Believe it or not we saw a couple of parties who were having a great time watching their pooches chasing prairie dogs ……
Magical really is the only word for it. I can't put my finger on it or explain it, but there's just this feeling. I think a lot of Canadians take our country for granted and as someone who has driven from one side to the other, I hope to inspire others to explore more of it. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and let me know if there are any must see places out your way. Now as to people who think that letting fluffy chase endangered prairie dogs, that literally gave me a case of the rage shakes. People like that give responsible dog owners a bad name and are the reason dogs get banned. I can't even. They probably try to pet the bison too 🤬
We reported the canine marauders to Parks in Val Marie and even gave them a video with license plates but I don’t think they did anything. Lots of adventures from coast to coast on my channel if you’re looking for ideas.
@@vancouverislander hopefully they did address it. The risk that they put their dogs and the wildlife at is completely unacceptable. And don’t think I won’t poke around your vids. I was just wondering if there’s anywhere in particular that really stands out.
Poke away 😂😂 I’d recommend the Cross Canada 2022 one. We took the route through Labrador. The Travels in the Time of Covid one. Parts of Vancouver Island that 99% of visitors don’t know about and therefore never see. And the NWT one. Again, few go this way. Happy travels, Martin
That boggles my mind why more people wouldn't go a bit further west. I've been to Tofino twice and it's always a highlight of the trip. Not to mention the best fish tacos I have ever had. And I'm trying to get to Newfoundland and Labrador either this year or next so I'll be watching for sure. Thank you!@@vancouverislander

@@adventuredawgs I understand. I am just trying to switch over to lithium. Supposedly, you don't have to change out the charge controller in my camper--just push a button--but everything I have read suggests you really should change it out. I will get someone else to do that and a DC-DC charger. I will change out a switch or a light fixture at home, but I am not up for messing with my camper.
Thanks for the great adventure video. All the wild life is terrific to watch. You guys look like you’re having a blast!

Looks like a great location! The big sky is always gorgeous in grasslands and prairies!
It was so different from what I'm used to. Maybe that's part of the charm.
Nice video I like the wide range
Thank you! Can you blame me for loving it so much?
Love that you did a location video! Grasslands just went up on my must go to places!
Thank you! I hope you get a chance to go soon.

I wondered how you and the doglets were doing. Happy new year!
Happy New Year to you as well!!! We’re doing well, planning our adventures for the upcoming year. How’re you keeping?
