Thank you! Lots of great information and I’m happy you have your trailer back. I am considering a teardrop so this was important for me to learn. Give the dogs some love ❤
Thank you! You know I'm a big fan of the teardrop so feel free to ask away if you have any other questions about it. The pups are getting a ton of lovin' from you right now 😁
We had that same trailer, and had the problem of dust while traveling on gravel roads. We had a pass through and the dust was everywhere! Make sure you have a great seal or you’ll spend every trip cleaning!
@adventuredawgs We ended up gerrymandering some foam and duct tape to seal it tight-ish -- not geeat, but better. If we still had the trailer, we would have probably had to take the hatch off and redo the weather-stripping and hinges. But a caribou and a pothole took care of that.
Crazy thought, but as a short term 'hack' could you slice open a pool noodle and slide it on the galley door to keep at least some of the dirt out? That or foam pipe insulation, depending on how thick the gap is.
I haven't watched the video yet so don't jump all over me if the following was mentioned. Unless you really intend to be a solo camper avoid 4' wide models. That goes for homebuilts as well. Measure your home bed width, especially if you sleep with a partner. If the trailer is less than that expect crowding unless the trailer is at least 5' wide. Even if you build on a 4' wide frame you can expand the width over the fenders.
@@joewoodchuck3824 I agree with you 1000%. I can’t imagine having it any tighter than the 5x8 that I have and even though it’s almost the same mattress, it feels much tighter with the walls.
@@doughalldorson8663 thank you so much! It’s a diamond in the rough made by The Teardrop Company. They were based in Newmarket, Ontario but I think they moved to the east coast. Do you have a teardrop too?
@@Bluesky1ification I’ve watched a lot of his videos but the prices tend to be a little different in Canada. I spent a LOT of time creeping prices before I got mine. It may not be the best out there but it was the best that I could afford at the time.

Oh wow! That sounds like quite a design flaw. Did you use anything specific to deal with it or just threw the sink at it until something worked?

@@tricias5927 I think I'd rather deal with taking the galley apart than the caribou and pothole...😧
@@adventuredawgs true that!
You get what you pay for

I don't know if that's so crazy because I did think about those too. I have some figuring out to do.

You're welcome! Are there any that you would add to the list?
Great video ,what brand is your teardrop ?

Look into bean Teardrop trailers 😊
@@Bluesky1ification I’d love a bean but they were way out of my price range, even for a used trailer. Maybe for my next one down the road.
@@adventuredawgs understand. The Wander Tears cost $18k is that to high too?
Follow a UA-cam channel called: Playing with Sticks. He talks about the teardrop trailer, prices etc. I hope that help
