Jae has american citizenship. he was born in Argentina and grew up in California. He moved to south korea when he was 19 or 20 to pursue his music career (he was in a korean band, DAY6! their music is really good) . YES! you should checkout his music! his first song "car crash" has released and he also has a few songs in his youtube channel.
Wall flower is his choice for his first single; but his manager said Car Crash is more marketable (I think a survey was done among his fans). I belong to Team Wall flower too.
This interview made me anxious. Everything he said here makes it seem like his split with Day6 is permanent and he’s completely done with the kpop industry.
Jae really needs a reality check. All these celebs on the top are there because of this brand their management has created. You really like to glorify the music industry here but everything is super curated for branding purposes just like any where else. All these artist at the top other than music have the personality and charm to draw that many people. You really have this super naive approach to the industry which you will soon realise.
I don't know man. I'd stay in Korea. American healthcare is trash, taxes is trash (in Korea, they tell you exactly how much you owe. In America you have to figure it out and hire someone to get it right and it's a hassle.)
