I made this design recently from this video and I absolutely love it 😍 I changed the mica for cocoa powder and it worked like a charm. Definitely recommend making it.
I like that scale! Absolutely the only reason you don't want to use a 50/50 lye/water ratio is many scales do not measure to the thousands which can result in too much lye causing crustiness being lye heavy. Looks like your scale can (?) do it. if I had it I'd try it. I love cocoa butter much better than shea. It goes in all my batches. Great looking soap by the way.
Wow what a beautiful and simple soap. I think I'm going to try this one out. I use cocoa butter in my soaps but I haven't tried it in such a large amount. I'd always been told it's best not to, but I see it turns out just fine 💕
Loved this design and simplicity of the recipe. Thank you for sharing. This looks like a recipe that even beginner soap “makers” can try. I am going to be brave and try it! I just subscribed 👍🏻
For me is challenging keep the lye and the oils on the same temperature. Usually I’m trying at 40 C poor the lye to the oils, after that I have time add the coloring and about at 30 C put it into my form. I do not know is it right, but this is my 3 soap, I’m excited to cut it today. I didn’t have primerose seed, so I used blue color and brown, also the oils were so yellowish, I just add to the main mix a little bit shine. Not really a color. I love your chanel, because the recepies are not too hard, also I love the natural ingredients. The size of the soap is just a right size for one persone or for a family. I can give some as a gift and still I have enough for myself too.
Hello! Im new to making soap and I want to try this recepie, what if I dont want to use primerose powder and another fragrance oil, do I need to re calculate something in the recepie? Best regards from Sweden
I can't wait to try this recipe later today! My cocoa butter is deeply chocolate scented so I'm going to use a lovely tea FO... But question! For a ten inch bar mould, do I simply double your recipe?
Very pretty soap Sarah! 😍 I'd love to know how scratchy the evening primrose seeds feel. Are they similar to cranberry seeds in feel? Lovely video once again!
Oops - looking back I see that this is a powder, not whole seeds - silly me! I agree with the comment that this soap looks a bit like one of Van Gogh's paintings of a sky - LOVELY!
I have a question please. I used cocoa butter for the first time in my recipe. I used 8 oz. Of olive oil, 8oz. Cocoa butter and 8 oz. Olive oil. I put it on a heating pad for 1 hour. The soap cracked down the mid do le in the mold. Did I use too much cocoa butter for too much heat. I was able to fix the crack.
Could you use cocoa powder to color ?
Ooh yes you absolutely could use cocoa powder Kim or even coffee
I, M KENI AND I THINK DAT IS VERY NICE AND THANK YOU
what a nice look for a bar of soap. underwater waves
I made this design recently from this video and I absolutely love it 😍 I changed the mica for cocoa powder and it worked like a charm. Definitely recommend making it.

Hiya, no it's a little soft the first few days but firms up nicely
Wow, amazing..
The soap came out so beautiful.
Please how long does the soap stay in mold before it's ready to use?
Hi, I leave it 24 - 48 hours
That is really beautiful! 👌❤️
Thanks Karin, so glad you enjoyed it

I have a question, what type of better we could used the refined or unrefined, especially for cocoa butter?
For this soap I like the unrefined cocoa butter
Very Lovely video 😊❤
Gorgeous!!!
So glad you like it too :)

BEAUTIFUL! Think I might try 1/2 of your batch to make a few bars :-) looks gorgeous.
Go for it!
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing your recipe. What can I use instead of seed powder? 😊
Poppy seeds work well Geri or just leave them out!
Did you melt the oils in an oven or on the stove ?
I melt on a stove or sometimes a microwave
Hi! I was wondering what is it that you sprayed on top? Is it to keep the soap from whitening? Thank you for this tutorial!
Rubbing alcohol is what we spray :)
Hello! Im new to making soap and I want to try this recepie, what if I dont want to use primerose powder and another fragrance oil, do I need to re calculate something in the recepie? Best regards from Sweden
No they dont affect the main recipe so can be left out :)
Awesome, just a question, you didn't add castor oil, will there be bubbles?
Yes, the main bubbles comes from coconut oil
Very nice
Thanks Flores
Do you use refined or unrefined cocoa butter in this recipe?
Hi ! At what temperature you need to heat the water and the oils ? Thx !!!
I can't wait to try this recipe later today! My cocoa butter is deeply chocolate scented so I'm going to use a lovely tea FO...
But question! For a ten inch bar mould, do I simply double your recipe?
Yes, you can double it :) Yours sounds delicious!
Very pretty soap Sarah! 😍
I'd love to know how scratchy the evening primrose seeds feel. Are they similar to cranberry seeds in feel?
Lovely video once again!
Hey Cathy, honestly they have a super soft exfoliation, not hard at all :)
Lovely 😍
Thanks 🤗
Can you tell me where you get that size of soap mold? I want to make only smaller amts. The big ones I have are too big for my needs. Thank you!
Hi Sue, This is where we get them from now. It is the 500g sky mold (-1600) option global.gmarket.co.kr/item?goodscode=757049060
Hi Sara, i really want to try this soap recipe ..is very beautiful but i dont want to use titanium D. what can i use to replace T.D?
You can simply omit the titanium dioxide and have a creamy colour instead of white
@@SoapSchoolUK I did that Sara and it came beautifulllll..thank you😘
Beautiful! I was wondering, what size your mold is? Its so cute
Its actually a 500g mould and Il love it because it has thick walls and makes 5 perfect sized bars
So pretty I could just eat them lol 😂 nice work
How long did you wait to cure???? To take out?
I cut the bars after 24 - 48 hours then dry them
Oops - looking back I see that this is a powder, not whole seeds - silly me!
I agree with the comment that this soap looks a bit like one of Van Gogh's paintings of a sky - LOVELY!
Best place to buy essential oils please?
I buy from many suppliers including www.idaromatics.co.uk who have a store in Leeds s well as online
Are the seeds optional?
Any type of seeds or botanicals etc are always optional :)
How much to use for a standard loaf?
It depends on the size of your mould. Add up all the weight of the ingredients to see how it fits in your mould. Yu might need to double everything
@@SoapSchoolUK thanks for the reply! These bars turned out great
What size mold is used here?
To keep soap for a year which preservative to be used plz
Soap does not generally require a preservative
Just beautiful! I have a cheese cutter like that - best cheese cutter ever. I will not donate it to my soap making equipment 😆
A good cheese cutter is invaluable. Yours sounds well loved and wonderful!
Sorry I meant 8 oz. Coconut oil
It sounds like you had too much heat under the soap which caused the cracking. Just a gentle warmth is all thats needed
❤😊 Are the ingredients/weights the same if you don't use fragrance oil, seeds & colours?
Yep, the amounts remain the same
@@SoapSchoolUK Thank you 😘
Whete can i get this recipe
Recipes are always in the description under the video : ) Enjoy
Could you give me a recipe for a 2pound soap
That is basically double the recipe I use bar a few grams
Hello again, I would like to know what size do you have on your mould? Or where I can find it 🥰
Its a 500g mould from Gmarket S Korea
I do not understand how long you mixed the oil and the lye?! Do I have to see a trace and after that give the color or how does this work?!
Was total 15g of fragrance oils?
Where did you buy your cutter?
Hi Lee, I have a few. My single bar cutter is from Soap Cutter pro on Etsy. My loaf cutter is from Bud Haffner on Etsy
Can i double the recipe ?
How much does this make?
500g or just over 1lb
How do I know how much lye and water to use? Am I using sink water or distilled water?
The recipe is listed in the description :)
@@SoapSchoolUK thank you so much. So it really depends on how much soap you want to make?
@@NessaJ777 water is a % of the whole recipe
@@SoapSchoolUK thank you again for responding and for your video
❤
Please tell the amount of lye
Hi Shehla, the recipe is in the description under the video :)
