Exactly, there's such a gap Magnus is literally bored with classical chess and doesn't defend a title.

Actually appreciate these non-candidate games. There's many other prominent UA-camrs covering the candidates and even though I follow a bunch of them I don't want to watch coverage of the same game over and over. It's great that we have different games to look at during this relatively boring time of classical candidate games.

I need different content partly because I got bummed out when Hikaru lost his first round match and secondarily I need extra content because its nice to have a breadth of content during the chess fever that is prevalent during a candidates tournament. @@jimf2525 No trolling at all, at least not based on the definition of trolling. My comment was direct edat James, and was making light of not just your comment, but the collection of multiple comments having called out that same thing. Your may or may not have seen the others that called it out.
The point was to make light of having his mistakes/omissions pointed out, ie. make them beyond tolerable, even acceptable, as he is bound to make mistakes as he goes over countless games played at the highest level. And the internet can be vicious in the comments section, so just in case these couple comments were starting to feel like a bit of a sting to him, was hoping to introduce some levity to them, that's all.
Humor is generally step 1 for me in most situations in life. It's a survival tactic.

That implies said wits are themselves successful. From Google: " In Australia and New Zealand, tall poppy syndrome refers to successful people being criticised. This occurs when their peers believe they are too successful, or are bragging about their success. Intense scrutiny and criticism of such a person is termed as "cutting down the tall poppy"."
