Hey Rob here’s a friendly tip: I haven’t finished the whole video yet I’m just writing this now before I forget but I’m Latino and I noticed that when ever you ask the guys to grab something in Spanish you say “puedes grabarlo” and it makes sense why you think that’s the right word cause it has “grab” in the word but actually its incorrect. When you say “Grabar” or “Grabarlo” you are actually saying “Record” or “Record it”…. What you mean to say is “Agarralo” which means “Grab it” or “Aguántalo” which means “Hold it” peace out bro thanks for the solid content!
Why does it always make me think of santa claus shoving the kid down the slide with his boot in christmas story when Robert shoves the kayak off from the boat.
HOOO HOOOO HOOOO
In Tampa, Florida you are allowed to harvest one per open season with permit and tag, non-transferable. March 1 through May 31 season.
Great day on the water! I can't wait to see the cook!
Your Panama trips are my favorites.
It would be awesome to get to harvest one of those. I dont think its legal anywhere in the states. so cool. Pretty funny, the Panamanian guys had no intention of reviving that fish. They were like, that is a tasty giant grouper and we are eating it.
Florida did a very limited run if tags a while back.
In Costa Rica we get them often and not illegal to take but we try to send them back. Also different sub species from Atlantic and Pacific
great call by robert owning it: we're gonna take a lot of flack.🙏
Thought the grouper I caught was a monster but that thing was a beast.
That would drive me crazy having to deal with so many kayaks and people who are clueless about fishing.
See you October🎣
Wow , I dream of fishing a grouper but in my kayak ,🎣🔥
What a grouper! The resort’s chef has his work cut out for him/her.Any idea what was in its stomach? How deep was the fish?🇨🇦👍
I use to catch those all the time in southwest florida, usually nothing under 500lbs near bridges.
Looks like the one we ate when I was there. They make good soup, huh Robert….😂
since when can you keep them? I have caught some and was told they were not allowed to keep
I though Goliath Grouper were world wide protected didn’t know anyone could keep one
Federally protected as in the United States.
What a fish
I wish that guy from NY would flip his gaff around so that the business end pointed to the back of the boat....it would help the anxiety I was getting watching that line dance around the gaff tip as he was fighting his fish! 😬😳😬😳
Needs a battery powered air pump for that cooler for bait
Curious to know about Ciguatera that Goliath's are known to carry.
You good in tha spañol muy duro pr in house 🎉 good blessed 🎣🎣🎣
Is that a JJ panga 26’
Finally Panama. As nice as New Zeland is, the variety of fish they catch here is so much fun to watch
Youre going to need bigger coolers if you keep that up 😂
You dont need to be a rocket scientist to know that a Snapper is food not a bait fish.
That cabron was the best 😂😂
That's a ROOSTER TURKEY!
Aren't those things endangered?
No.they are protected tho in Florida even tho you can catch them under every bridge almost and they will eat your fish on local wrecks lol
@@stephenyatwa7135 From what I understand they were removed from the critically endangered list in 2018. People have described to me that trying to land one of these is like trying to pull up a bus with a rope.
Lol why don't yall invest in a 5 dollar battery operated airator for ur bait?
Isn’t that illegal
Not in Panama
Legality aside, I thought Goliath Grouper of that size harbored dangerous levels of mercury
@@PhatsMahoney88 Ive eaten fish I caught offshore in Honduras, Costa Rico and Panama that we wouldn't eat in the states. I asked the same question and was told that they don't have the same level of contamination/parasites that we see in some of our nearshore species. Whether that is true or not I can't say, all I can tell you is they were all delicious.
@@PhatsMahoney88you would need to eat a lot of it to have negative effects show.
@@PhatsMahoney88mercury is far less of an issue in this part of the Pacific. Not nearly as much runoff in the waters to cause its accumulation.
“That’s why it’s talking so much” not a truer statement was said
uuhhhhh...I bag one of these things and I have the FBI, CIA, ABC, XYZ busting down my door. wtf. I know they definitely are not endangered though
All that money and can't invite subscribers out, typical rich attitude
I don’t make much money brother. But you are invited out. LosBuzos.com for info on our trips. It’s super affordable for what you get
@@YakFishField everyone’s so entitled these days man, what’s a round about figure for four guys to come out to los buzos? I just want to get an idea for how much money I need to save up and didn’t want to waste anyones time that answers the emails. Your my inspiration to taking my kayak out into the ocean and I have caught awesome things because of you in a round about way my friend!
Rooster hat trick!!! That's simply amazing!!! I can't wait till my trip next year!!!!
well done man
For as big as that dude is in the red kayak he is weak.
amazing fish every time ❤
In Penang, Malaysia..this grouper can fetched at least RM2,534 (USD 560) if you sell it to any restaurants in the vicinity. Awesome catch..
Rob looks happy the way he is smiling on the thumbnail
🛥️🛥️🛥️🛥️🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🐟🐟🐟
Are you in Florida cause that’s illegal
😮
Robert, Bro what a job you have! I wanna fish there. Florida is almost as nice, depending where you are. Sweet Rooster hat trick! SWEET! JewFish!!!!
Punta blanko😂😂😂 did you say that?
Eres el pinche GOAT Robert, saludos bro!!!
I hardly see any catch and cooks with goliath grouper. Nice!
Peixe em extinção e os babaca matando , tinha que ser preso!!
Hope your feeling better Rob
That’s a Spanish mackerel
To much work just to let it go
Well poo I'm on replay 😅❤
Cool stuff Rob. Been super close to pulling the trigger on a trip down there for years now, hopefully the stars will align once I finish up grad school.
For any fellow FL anglers watching, worth noting that this is actually a different species (Epinephelus quinqefasciatus) than the Atlantic goliaths (Epinephelus itajara) we get in our waters. Near-identical and closely related, but the Pacific populations weren't (to my knowledge) historically overfished to nearly the same degree as they were in the Atlantic/Caribbean.
I thought you couldn't even bring those over the rail.
He is not fishing in US Waters. Legal to keep in Panamanian water
Different laws depending on the area of the world you're at. In the US, yes.
