Dude, I'm so excited someone finally did a catch and cook with an authentic peruvian ceviche and leche the tigre. I'm proud of the one I make but will have to make this one asap. Oh yeah, the fishing was also phenomenal.
What I've learned about lure fishing is to take *every* opportunity you can to throw topwaters. The spectacular takes and the heart-pounding excitement when they eat is one of the best fishing experiences you can have. More often than not, topwater also tends to attract the bigger members of the school. Epic video Robert, wishing you all the best
@@YakFishField i don't have my strength back yet, from going through chemo, but I'd love to get down to Los Buzos some day! Keep doing what you do! It inspires me and many others , I'm sure! 👍
You know you're in Los Buzos when the poppers are bigger than most of the fish you normally catch. Great video and luckily that first tuna didn't rip Pio out of the boat.
Somedays watching these videos gives me anxiety. Me not returning is a situation controlled by the crayon eaters that run the country of Canada. Hell of a day/video and the excitement was contagious.
@@YakFishField had to torch most my vacation allowance to go to our place in Mexico and an extra 14 days in quarantine once we got home. Total bs, total of 5 negative tests and they still want you to isolate. Enough covid ranting. Keep them vids coming !!!
Robert. Great video! The corn is called parched corn. We use mature dried sweet corn. You are right it is very good!!! The fishing looks so amazing. The food.... Oh My Word!!! Looks unbelievable!!! Would love to go on a Field Trip!! Thanks for sharing again
Oh man, Dakotas laugh right when he hooks that second fish is hysterical!!! That's a serious case of the #fishgiggles And next time you do this, if you could somehow convince yourself to put the rod down for a minute, you should get that drone in the air. Topwater strikes from above shooting straight down look absolutely incredible!
Amazing fishery and awesome video! One suggestion would be to gill and gut the larger tuna and put those frozen bottles into the gut cavity of the fish as well as on top!! Thanks for the entertainment as always!! I hope I create the opportunity to fish Panama soon! Gotta get in on some action!!!
That style of fishing really reminds me of here in California, the boats looking for "boils" of fish busting on the surface and the boat rolls up to the bait ball and the surface irons start flying to catch them yellowtails.
Crazy,...,! maybe a dum question but the Tuna infront of the Dolphins, are they both chasing after some bait or do the Dolphins are chasing after the Tuna??
When we fished for dolphin fish (Known as Mahi-Mahi or Dorado) Not the mammal) out near the Pearl Islands in Panama, we once had six dolphins hooked at once! Four on rods and two on teaser lines.
Belly meat is always the BACON!!! also they need a bigger cooler and to learn IKEJIME to take better care of the meat especially with tuna since it overheats easily.
Ok so I did hear him correctly when he said screw the belly meat put the ice on the top. Yea the belly meat is called toro in Japan and is 10x the value of the top loins. The fatty meat melts in your mouth imo and is definitely the beat part for eating sashimi.
The entire time I was watching I was yelling at my phone like YOU NEED TO BLEED IT😂 it tastes so much better if u bleed it while the hearts still beating
I used to fish like that in Costa Rica. This video makes me miss living down there! I caught 26 one morning. And in 2 days I caught enough fish to feed 100 people at my wedding, all tuna and 5 dorados. Good times! By the way, ceviche made of freshwater fish was nasty when I tried tilapia ceviche in Costa Rica. Not even edible. But I'd love to try tuna ceviche. I ate lots of ceviche de pargo (snapper in Spanish) down there over the years. Ceviche is one of the many things I loved about living in that part of the world. Yo quiero probar ceviche así! Y la leche de tigre. Que rico suena.
Awesome video Robert. Love you these videos. I heard Dakota say how would you catch these from a kayak, with a lot of patience. I got my biggest YFT of 33kgs (75lbs) off my kayak the other day. Flipping awesome fight. Keep up the content. Respect from South Africa.
Robert is that a Saragosa you are using or the new stradic’s they finally make in big boy sizes ? I couldn’t get a good view. The drag washers on that BG might need some love after that day 😂
That was another amazing video!!!!! When I click the link to tackle direct it doesn’t show what you were using? What was the rod reel used? It looked like he had the Diawa bg 5000 but couldn’t figure out your tackle. Also I have the chug Norris what hooks did you swap out for? Favorite part was easily the hook up at the boat!!!
I love Dakota's energy. These guide only videos are some of my favorites.
It’s nice when we get to “just fish” and not constantly be catching bait and helping clients 😅
@@YakFishField love what you're doing man, keep it up!
Best tuna fishing video I've see this year by far. I can watch this over and over and still have the same excitement
Thanks so much. More coming real soon!
Was thinking dolphins as live bait by the title lol
Catch a 1000 pounder
Me to.
Imagine the tuna that can eat a dolphin..
@@comfortablynumb9342 yeah he was prolly thinking mahi tho not these kind of dolphins
You definitely discovered the secret with the dolphins !

Wow, that is just stunning, love your vids bro
amazing episode this is what we all live for the adventure the fish and then the amazing meal made from the fresh fish.
Thanks man! Doesn’t get any better than same-day tuna
Nice fish Robert. But your thumb nail should have been,, " GONNA NEED A BIGGER COOLER"! Take care. We down in Cali.
One 100 pound tuna or shark could knock them out of that boat easily If they can jump then with all of that blood...
Or tiny boat or Kayak.
They need to hook up Pío with a NRS sponsorship. That man is a beast of an angler/captain!
Depending on which one he’s trying to catch, Gulf of Mexico has yellows in the 300 plus class and north east has blues 500-1000 pounds.
No kidding!
Very much enjoyed the cook/recipe portion of this video sir.
So glad to hear it, will be trying to do more of them
This is another confirmation of captain Pio's skills in finding the big ones. Pio Pio ...
Hey man big was that 🐟 this was your best video yet!!!!
Bad ass tuna fishing and then an awesome recipe 😋 It doesn't get better than that.
Fun day!
