I was in Luzon for about 3 weeks the first day I was there I drank ice water at a very nice wedding and was sick as a dog for the whole trip.........I will buy bottled water from now on

My first time I watched your vlog and I enjoyed your story about P.I. Im Filipino citizens and I married a American guy ... he was stationed there in subic based in Olongapo Zambales and we got married in 1970 and my husband like Philippines , we go there to visit every five years, we are planning to go again but our plans are cancelled because of this coronavirus , hopefully everything goes well and we are ready to go back to visit again.... thank you for sharing your stories about Phil. ...

Its a natural reaction staring in things that seldom pass your attention. Eventually they get used to it
The water situation: well, you can really demand for water. Or buy bottled water. Most fast food restaurants do have bottled water for sale. Ask for filtered water. If not, go to convenience stores or mini groceries (7-11, Ministop, Family Mart, etc.) before meals to buy bottled water.

Hi guys... just joined your community and have enjoyed all of your vlogs so far!!! I am John's fellow kababayan but from Mindanao. My wife and I live in Las Vegas... so next time you come down from St. George, we'd love to meet up.
Anyway, my wife and I plan to visit Mindoro and Leyte some day. It's funny that we also visited the PI in 2017 (November for 2 weeks), sightseeing Cebu and Bohol, swimming with whale sharks and canyoneering in Cebu and visited all of the tourist hotspots in Bohol.
In 2019, we once again visited the PI for 2 weeks and went to Palawan, visited the underground river in Puerto Princesa, island hopping several days in El Nido, and did the same in Coron. Love Palawan and your family should go there!!!

Lora... drinking soda in the PI is considered luxury, so many Filipinos would apt for the sugared drink. I prepared the fresh fruit shakes like mango and coconut but I make sure the water used us bottled, not tap. Next time you visit the PI, always make sure you drink bottled water!

I guarantee a lot of those Filipino guys are so envious of John because you are so pretty and that's why you get a lot of stares. Aside from that.. not a whole lot of Filipino guys are married to foreign women.. it's usually the other way around. I enjoyed watching your videos and your first experiences in the Philippines. We also went home around that time. It's also good thing that John is from the province and that you get to experience that too and not just Manila.

thank you for sharing your experience . your video just popped up randomly :). oh no regarding the water - never drink the water they give you. next time you go, bring bottled water everywhere you go. when i am in the philippines, or any country , i like to put my water bottles in the fridge or do a quick chill in the freezer , pour the water in an insulated thermos / hydro flask and you’re good to go! hope this tip helps you guys next time :) also, if you ask for ice, ask them if it comes from filtered water :)

When we go overseas, we only drink bottled water, soda or beer to avoid food poisoning. I think that’s what happened to you when they gave you tap water.
Did you learn to use tabo (dipper) to fetch water for washing?

Im Hispanic my bf is filipino. We just arrived from the filipines. I had the same experience as you. Everyone staring at me. I didnt like it at all. Overall filipines is a beautiful place.

Filipino and Chinese loves chicken feet but my husband never want to try to eat lol but he likes a lot of Filipino foods his favourite is sinigang
ooo sinigang is yummy. I'm not a huge fan of the chicken feet... it's the texture... haha.
