I've owned a Tesla for over a year and this is the gold standard for towing a Tesla or EV. I learned a lot watching this and have shared it with many others. This should be required watching for every tow truck operator. Thanks so much for producing such a great informative video!
I just put my order in last week for the model 3 LR and as a first time EV owner this video was very informative and you present very well. Thank you Aaron
@@towtrucktech1555 Yes you should make a video with real testing!! You can find my photos among the forums. I was worried at first. Stopped every few miles and enabled track mode to check the motor temps. No issues. Hardest part was adapting the tow bar. If you don't enable tow mode then it will regen as you drive and will likely cause a fire. Avoid that and your good to go.
thanks for the information, towed a few vehicle's in early 80s with a 60 something ford 600. just started towing again. I suppose with change comes opportunity but also makes screwing something up a bigger problem, Cant wait for the wave technology vehicles' to debut. I have yet to master crawling out window of a jeep so it don't set the e brake. good thing in back lot of body shop. no witnesses!
Thank you.
No problem

Very nicely done. .It was refreshing to dispel EV myths and some fears around working on these vehicles. Thank you.
Excelent video. I’m surprised more people have not viewed it, or liked it.
I had a tow bar installed on my M3 performance. Haul it behind my RV with all 4 down. Never had an issue with overheating or other damage.
Send me a video of that.

What about Ionic 5?
Can you please explain your disdain for using dollies other than short distances?
Some folks don't like throwing dollies.. but IMO beats the heck out of all that other BS
