I think the real answer was to show character development into "hey this guy is losing his OP". If naruto regenerated his arm back, it would basically say this guy is immortal with kurama by his side, because as you stated, he has survived and healed pretty deadly blows, so losing his arm was a way to bring him down to, "hey this guy is still human" levels

The answer is pretty much how our human healing works. Same goes for Naruto, his monstrous healing cannot regenerate limbs. He should be able to heal a chopped of limb if it's reattached. If he still had the creation of all things, he could have also created another one. To oversimplify, regeneration ≠ healing, even if its healing on the level of Naruto or Tsunade, they both have limitations. From what we understand, Narutos healing is extremely fast and potent and doesn't leave scars behind.

I'm thinking it really has to do with the chakra signatures, since he and sasuke had the chakra from the sage of six paths it likely caused some disruption at the site of the major injury.
I think it makes more sense that he COULD regenerate the arm, but decided not to as a reminder. Besides, he ends up getting a new arm after anyways but Sasuke walks around with his sleeve flap instead.

i actually didn’t watch the anime or read the manga (i only watched 6 episodes of the show) but i know a lot of facts about these dudes. I played the games, that’s how i know about this stuff and i wanna thank Naruto for giving me those great memories :)
It kind of makes sense with people in real life, but Naruto has it more advanced compared to us humans in real life we can regenerate some wounds and it leaves a scar, but we cannot really regenerate lost limbs on our body the best our body can do is heal whatever’s left of the torn flesh that the limb was separated from

It's likely because Kurama was also a bit low on chakra at that point. Rapid healing takes chakra infact what kurama does for Naruto is basically like Hashirama's no sign healing. Naruto took on a guy who had all other tailed beasts as an amp and still looked like he was holding back. Sasuke actually used all the chakra from all tailed beast in that fight since near the end he took chakra from Kurama off Naruto. It's possible after that bit Kurama could no longer contribute in helping Naruto using that signless healing. And there is actually a threshold of chakra that Naruto needs in order to maintain the seal that holds Kurama. So both Naruto and Kurama still had chakra left but neither was willing to risk going beyond that point knowing that Sasuke really didn't have enough power left to kill them. Saying Kurama can't heal limbs because we've never seen him do it is not a valid reason. Because we never saw Baryon mode until Boruto but that didn't mean Kurama couldn't of used that move long before that

The real question is why did Naruto get a replacement arm but not Sasuke?
He was out of chakra and by the time they recovered, the stump had already formed. Maybe if he cut the arm off again, but I think that'd be asking for trouble.

Honestly I think its because kurama litteraly gave EVERYTHING he had left for the final rasengan chidori clash and then he went asleep.
So naruto didnt have the chakra to regenerate it and after kurama rested it was probably too late to regenerate it.
They had to have an excuse to give him hashi cells lol
There’s also the fact that both Naruto and Sasuke used their Chidori and Rasengan while fully powered with one last once of their chakra to deliver one final blow. There’s also the fact that both Sasuke and Naruto were severally weakened from the whole fight, so Naruto doesn’t have enough strength to regenerate his arm. What I want to know is that why didn’t Sasuke use Hashirama’s cells to give him a new arm since Naruto got his wooden arm from Hashirama’s cells.
The answer is : to remember the sacrifice given that brought his best friend back from evil once and for all.

The answer is pretty much how our human healing works. Same goes for Naruto, his monstrous healing cannot regenerate limbs. He should be able to heal a chopped of limb if it's reattached. If he still had the creation of all things, he could have also created another one.
To oversimplify, regeneration ≠ healing, even if its healing on the level of Naruto or Tsunade, they both have limitations.
From what we understand, Narutos healing is extremely fast and potent and doesn't leave scars behind.

My head cannon is that tsunade told him he could have a cool hashirama arm, and he chose the hashirama arm.
I think it’s less that and more because Naruto had like negative amounts of chakra by the time he lost the arm,therefor kurama didn’t have enough chakra to heal it
It’s more so cause they were literally out of chakra. Kurama gave him the rest of his chakra before going to sleep to recoup his energy.

I'm thinking it really has to do with the chakra signatures, since he and sasuke had the chakra from the sage of six paths it likely caused some disruption at the site of the major injury.

I think it makes more sense that he COULD regenerate the arm, but decided not to as a reminder. Besides, he ends up getting a new arm after anyways but Sasuke walks around with his sleeve flap instead.

I honestly thought Naruto didn’t want it regenerated as a reminder of his battles with Sasuke. But he got the prosthetic bc ya know, he might have needed it to become Hokage 😂😂😂

After you say an arm blown off is different from a hole in your chest, know that being out of chakra means being out of chakra to do any kind of jutsu. Even regeneration.
Another reason is because sasukes chidori had nature chakra i believe as the lightning was black.

Guys, it's literally because Naruto and Kurama used ALL of their chakra in that battle, so Kurama had no Chakra to heal Narutos arm.
i actually didn’t watch the anime or read the manga (i only watched 6 episodes of the show)
but i know a lot of facts about these dudes. I played the games, that’s how i know about this stuff and i wanna thank Naruto for giving me those great memories :)
It kind of makes sense with people in real life, but Naruto has it more advanced compared to us humans in real life we can regenerate some wounds and it leaves a scar, but we cannot really regenerate lost limbs on our body the best our body can do is heal whatever’s left of the torn flesh that the limb was separated from
Kurama was asleep the chakra he gave Naruto to perform his last Rasengan dropped his reserves to near 0. Since he was sleep, no healing could be performed.
Also, both Naruto and Kurama were pretty much drained by that point. And yes, Chakra can be restored with rest, but he would've needed several hours, if not a day or 2 to fully restore his depleted chakra reserves. Both Naruto and Kurama.

At this point karama had already gave naruto his last bit of Chakra and went to sleep. So long story short that nigga was sleep on the job😂😂
Naruto has never once used regeneration, rather it was a typical bodily repair buffed in speed and effectiveness by kurama.
Plus kurama is a tailed beast with chakra.
So when the chakra points were destroyed he could not regenerate both the arm and chakra points
Because Kurama's chakra can't regenerate, it can heal wounds that are treatable just insanely fast, it can grow new limb or organ...
It's likely because Kurama was also a bit low on chakra at that point. Rapid healing takes chakra infact what kurama does for Naruto is basically like Hashirama's no sign healing. Naruto took on a guy who had all other tailed beasts as an amp and still looked like he was holding back. Sasuke actually used all the chakra from all tailed beast in that fight since near the end he took chakra from Kurama off Naruto. It's possible after that bit Kurama could no longer contribute in helping Naruto using that signless healing. And there is actually a threshold of chakra that Naruto needs in order to maintain the seal that holds Kurama. So both Naruto and Kurama still had chakra left but neither was willing to risk going beyond that point knowing that Sasuke really didn't have enough power left to kill them. Saying Kurama can't heal limbs because we've never seen him do it is not a valid reason. Because we never saw Baryon mode until Boruto but that didn't mean Kurama couldn't of used that move long before that
I find it ridiculous to this day that Naruto never defeated Sasuke definitively. Felt like such a waste of time Investing Into the series if Naruto couldn't beat Sasuke and it had to end in a "draw". The creator of Naruto literally stuck a middle finger to the fans doing that
