The latest release from the fantastic record label Mellotronen Records is a newly discovered and highly anticipated Live records with Hansson & Carlsson. The Swedish duo is joined by Bengt Dahlen on violin witch in its own right is a interesting and dare i say perfect combination. Remember - this is 1968 and a good wile before Frank Zappas Hot Rats (to name one).
This is my take on the release. I talk about the musicians, label, pressing quality, recording and obviously the music.
    Hope you enjoy

Very cool! I love Bo Hansson. His albums are brilliant. I haven’t heard the one from the 80’s though. I also didn’t know about Fläsket Brinner. Man, each time I watch your channel I learn about something new. Keep on Keeping On!

I’m a little bit hard on the last Hansson record. It’s not that bad. I think I appreciate it more the older I get. I think it’s mainly the sterile 80s production that I don’t like. Thank you so much for your kind words. I’ll continue making em as long as it’s fun. And I’m having a blast! 😀

I saw them with Hendrix on bass late at night in Cafe Filips.
Was a very young pupil from Germany visiting my mother's old friends. Since then I'm collecting all Swedish Rock&Jazz music.
I'm the greatest H&K fan on earth!

@@EH_ALLE_DOOF That’s amazing! My Dad is a huge Bo Hansson fan. He introduced me to him years ago. I really don’t know much about H&K. What is the best album of theirs to start with?

@@mlblue5355 Hard to say - I love them all! My personal choice is Monument, because I love Richard Lionheart. I heard this album nearly 250 - 300 times - on a taperecorder in those times, just to save the vinyl. And the album Man On The Moon, cause it's a sort of concept album and it will take you on a journey...
Have a lot of fun with H&K ! Greetings - and don't miss other great bands from Sweden!
P.S.: Uuuh - if you like H&K, try THE NECKS with HANGING GARDENS
(And at the end of the 1960s I loved Soft Machine 1 & 2 and East of Eden . Mercator Projected and Snafu.)

@@EH_ALLE_DOOF Thanks for the Kick Ass suggestions! I’m really inspired by music from Sweden. I don’t know if it’s those little red with white poke a dot mushrooms out in the mystical Swedish forests or that Swedish people are of a high intelligence and live healthy lives, but man, lots of magic in Swedish music and the people! The people I met in Sweden were so kind to me, I was quite lucky.

First person to drop the needle man that is mind blowing. That Bo Hanson died alone and poor just fills me with sadness. A man that brought some fantastic music into the world and joy to the listener is both tragic and unfair.

Bo was not meant for this world. He was too fragile and timid. He was also sadly, scammed out of the money from his popular solo albums. The albums were recorded and released by independent label Silence records in Sweden, but the international sales were all unlicenced copies, and silence didn't have the muscle to file a lawsuit against the British label that had released them. Silence only found out about the illegal copies years after they were initially released.
Bo was life long friends with Eva Wilke, the owner of Silence, and he would come and stay with them at their home and studio out in the countryside, whenever he needed a place to hang out.
Wilke has a semi-feral cat named after Bo, "he comes and goes as he pleases".

Thanks for the background information which makes the story all the more poignant and tragic. I'm trying to find a good biography about him and wondered if you could provide any recommendations?
