I have an A1. So I watch your videos all. Your videos always get to the heart of the matter. I keep my A1 because I like quiet printers Thanks for your advice
Another reason why I’m glad I made the decision to go with Prusa.. Been Printing with them every day nonstop for over a year now. MK4 with enclosure and Prusa Mini.. No fails unless I sliced the file wrong 💯 And no recalls to stall my business from making my customers happy 💯 I know you Bambu dudes don’t like to hear this but Prusa is a work horse for the long term in this marathon called 3d printing 💯
As someone who owns machines from both companies, I can't disagree with you at all. I'm not a "Bambu dude". I can however definitely appreciate a machine that works well out of the box without a bunch of manual calibration. The two Prusa machines I own do 90% of the printing for my business and I get to have a lot of fun with the Bambu printers.
@@directedt3ch There's a firmware update that you probably have, but it doesn't automatically run the noise-cancelling calibration. So if your steppers are loud, you can try that calibration. If it's your fans, I find the chamber fan is the REALLY noisy one, and if you keep it at 70% or lower, it's not nearly so loud.
@@johngelnaw1243 Thanks so much! I'll try running that again. Most of the noise I hear seems to be mechanical. I'm also going to put it on a concrete paver with some foam underneath and measure the db readings to see if that helps. Video coming soon!
Too bad this video wasn't uploaded when I got my P1S lol. I took out the foam before my calibration was finished too but I never put it back in haha. I'm really excited to see how the AMS works on this before I buy one. I probably should have just ordered it but I'm hoping the A1 will hit the shelves soon so I wont need to buy it for the P1S. The P1S is definitely noisy, especially printing PLA and leaving the door open or the top cracked. I wonder if it gets any noisier when the AMS on top or not? I'm also excited to see the review on the panda touch! I want to order one soon.
I'm almost finished with the Panda Touch review! As far as the noise, it's ok. It doesn't keep me from falling asleep. Putting it on foam and a concrete paver helps some :)
Really? I'm running version 1.05.02.00 which the handy app says is the latest version and it's definitely not whisper quiet. It's not too bad on the first layer, but after that you can really hear it go!
Very nice! And cool panda touch screen too. I am keeping my A1 too. It was my very first printer. But I went the opposite direction as you, and I bought their least expensive printer while i wait for the heatbed. I bought he 180mm cubed A1 Mini. I totally love it. I actually still use the A1 but i monitor it closely. Having two printers running simultaneously has been super nice. 👍
@5doolar It can print some filaments that the A1 isn't suited for because of the enclosure, but speed wise, they are similar, and the P1S combo is almost 2x the price.

Great decision! I enjoy the quietness of the A1 too!

@@Thadopeera A win either way!! MK4?
@@directedt3ch 💯🦾
our school got 3 of thise with an ams for each one. one uses a 0.2 mm nozzle and the quality is incredible, much better than my ender 3 v2
They are incredible machines! I have a 0.2 nozzle for this machine as well. Haven't tried it out yet though 😄
Enjoy! BambuLab makes awesome printers
I have no complaints so far :)
While I like my P1S. The A1 is such a quite machine compared to the P1S.
I definitely agree! I put my P1S on foam and a concrete paver yesterday but it didn't make much of a difference.

You need to update the firmware. After the update, Mine is whisper quiet! I love mine and print 24x7 for months now.

The mini seems like a great way to go too. Since I have two other unenclosed printers, I wanted to have the option of an enclosed printer with AMS.
@@directedt3ch I'll definitely get an enclosed bambu P Series someday. The ability to print ABS and Nylon would be great.
how much noisy then the A1 ?
It's a good bit noisier. I'm going to do some testing soon with a decibel meter.
@@directedt3ch its better then A1? I dont know if buy P1S or A1
