I think doctors do sit her down and have these talks with her. The problem is when they do I think she changes doctors and/or health systems to avoid the issues. She is the queen is avoiding, denying, and codependency. She will do anything to deny and avoid problems while making sure she is never alone. She needs to sort her 💩 out. I bet she does the same kind of thing with psych. as well, staying with the doc who makes her feel she's right and avoiding the ones who confront her and try to make her change.
Whenever she says "she's a new person" after starting a new fad diet, dumb methods, a first therapy session, we know she's setting herself up for failure. Amber is pretty good at self sabotaging.

She once said they told her she stopped breathing during her hysterectomy. That will definitely be in her medical notes as a big red flag to watch for. It doesn’t mean they’ll disqualify her but they will definitely already be aware of it

The alcohol question is important because when her drug of choice, food is taken from her, there is a very strong possibility that she will replace that addiction with a new one. She has a history of abusing alcohol in her videos. She’s told us that she got hooked on marijuana too. Drug and alcohol addiction according to Amber destroyed her family. She definitely has the gene.
I firmly believe that Jade is her paid carer but I do think you are right to some extent. We didn't see jade for most of January. I think she had left. All of a sudden our girl quit the q&a on Instagram and becomes this 'better' person and voila jade is back on the scene. I stepped down from buying organic eggs to the regular eggs but I'm getting them in the 60 count from Walmart. And I'm really mad that the city talked me out of getting my chickens a couple years ago. I'm excited though because I'm going to get some chicken. Chickens are the best. They're hilarious.

Second comment: a few months ago she was binging for like a week straight. I think Jade left her and gave an ultimatum. Also, I think the lipodema doctor, the lung doctors, the ankle er doctor told her some harsh crap about her conditions. Amber doesn’t have to share any of that, but I think more was going on. And she is handling her anxiety and depression differently, right now, because she never goes anywhere and is avoiding life.

Becky was not self sufficient because ALR made her quit her job. Faline is. She could pack up and leave at a moments notice. I dont think she lies to her doctors or therapist. I believe she omits things. I will give her the benefit of the doubt that she does part of it subconsciously. I havent had weight loss surgery but my friend did. The questions were when was the last time you drank, have you had x many drinks in the past 30 days, the last time you drank did you have x many drinks. ARL is really good at only seeing what confirms her narrative and missing the rest.
Three people in my family have had WLS--lap band, which I hear is being phased out, although I can't say how true that is or not. I'd consider all three failures as none have lost what I'd consider enough weight to overset the risk of the surgery.

It's not that they are phasing out lap band, it's that most surgeons aren't recommending it as the results aren't the best...in other words, the risk vs rewards in the sleeve gastrectomy or gastric bypass are better than the risk rewards for the lap band. I could tell you stories. Both ate their way around the lap band and I think they hit the reality of eating sensibly and...nope, not gonna happen. #3 is #2's sister. She's better about it, not nearly as heavy, but just never made the dietary shift properly. Then there's me. No surgery, jettisoned seventy pounds three years ago with dietary choices and some exercise, kept it off, increased the exercise, and actually ended up kinda built. Definitely! She has no idea what she’s in for. Once you go under the knife, you can’t undo it and the depression and anxiety will really get her when she realizes that she can’t quit this diet. Her story is all over the place first she went to a weight loss clinic and had a class and now a male therapist is recommending her to have weight loss surgery but she hasn't met the surgeon? I remember the last she spoke about her so-called 'therapist' it was a female and due to her pregnancy leave and that she was going to now be switching to a male one and hated it so badly. Now the therpist in the video she is currently talking about is also a male therpist and she also said in another video she was just going to go ahead and get the therapy stuff done before even attending the weight loss clinic. My theory she went to maybe a few appointments with the male therpist her old one had/or a random one she just found and told the guy she felt misdiagnosed for over a century and why she felt that and the male therpist was like "well, I'm not seeing why you were diagnosed with that based off what we have already talked about in our few sessions so sure! I say you can have weight loss surgery" and now she's gonna go back to the weight loss clinic and be like "oh well I already did the therapy! so surgery gimmie it now!!" and then next video she's crying cause the clinic said that's not how it works.

The tip for keeping all your medical records is excellent. My mom is having more medical issues and I have tried to get her to do this. But she thinks it's a silly idea and just keeps discarding every thing the doctor gives her. Then gets upset when every doctor in her city doesn't have all her records. 😔
She acts like we don't know her past, and is still not being completely honest, about the drinking. Hopefully, she will come to terms with that, and really turn it around, cause these docs are no fools. This is not going to be easy, and she has to completely change her relationship with food. I hope.
Just waiting this out, her first appointment with the surgeon and everything should change. Things to watch for per the clinic: Must follow a weight management program. Must attending a support group. Must begin exercising.
I've been doing talk therapy/psychiatry for 11 years now. As I've transitioned from teenager to young adult it has been WORK. I've only started coming to the realization and confronting my SA and other past issues. Therapy is what you make of it. Sure it can be a good place to vent, but eventually if you want to get better you face the tough stuff, and have to dig deep to want to get better for you. ALR clearly has been through a lot, but IMO she uses it as content and a crutch to continue the cycle. I wish better for her but I think most of us here see the next part of the cycle coming.

But, there isn't just one person who says you're ready. You have a whole team that all need to agree. Also I cannot fathom that any doctor or specialist would think that she is ready at this point.
I don't think I've ever binge eaten. I can't even imagine doing that. Her cellulitis, lipodemia and lymphodemia are really a concern though. Those can lead to sepsis.
From a former pro-chef and nutrition nerd, the reason why you want to add your salt to veggies while they're cooking is not because it cooks out the sodium (sodium levels will not change, sodium chloride is a mineral salt it doesn't just evaporate) but because it helps to remove the water in the veggies which helps concentrate flavours and does usually mean that you have to add less salt to the dish than if you were adding all your salt at the end. It's a similar reason when you add salt to water before cooking pasta, it helps flavour the pasta all the way through meaning you need to add less salt overall at the end to get the same flavour. Just a little FYI moment 😄

I've been following Amberlynn since 2014. Her life is one huge cycle. If she doesn't take this serious, she will lose her last chance at a normal life and probably pass on like Life By Jen. Amberlynn is stuck in a very teenage like mind-set. She's been given great advice by viewers constantly over the years, but, ALR knows "best". It's a pity, she really had potential to become a weightloss success. She's slowly killing herself. Also, I subbed!
A lot of people think that Fauxline is a feeder. I don’t think she’s trying to grow Amber, but I do believe she’s an FA. She found an easy mark with money on Instagram and went for it. She knew Amber was big and she liked that, but I don’t think she realized all the upkeep Amber needs. She is young and is probably tired of doing all the cleaning, cooking, taking care of the pets, being the chauffeur, etc along with having to be Amber’s only emotional support system. That apartment is like a deserted island and Wifey is finding that being stuck with Amber isn’t a good time. If Amber blows this I think Jade will leave because she knows that Amber will only get bigger and even more immobile as she gets older. I’ve been wondering what Wifey gets out of this relationship other than money? Amber has so many gigantic character flaws I don’t know how anyone could stand to be with her unless they are equally as messed up.

Not even trying to be funny but she she can fit into the machines if they take her to the zoo. Someone on her comments said their husband was a paramedic and they hauled bariatric patients to the zoo for MRI's and CT scans because they couldn't fit into the normal sized machines.
I dont really think amber has Binge eating disorder, I feel like bed kind of requires some period of not eating, followed by a Binge. Say you don't eat lunch at school, but come home and eat 95% the family sized box of cheeseits or oreos. Amber just eats almost constantly

I honestly believe Amber sees Tammy's surgery and progress and thinks she can snap her fingers and get it. She doesn't realize that with someone on reality tv (like biggest loser, my 600lbs life) the producers push those people into extreme situations to produce results faster for tv. Amy got her surgery fast and never really dealt with her food stuff. We saw her gaining weight fast and using pregnancy as an excuse. Also a lot of tv contestants gain the weight back. If you watch videos of people who have actually done the work on their own and kept the weight off, their mindset completely changed from when they were obese. I don't see that with Amber. She's more like a reality tv contestant who's going to have major consequences for rushing the surgery. I hope I'm wrong.
She will need sleep study, maybe more then 1x if sleep apnea is detected. Stress test walking on treadmill for a few min, ekg, labs a few times,,psy, family doc, dietician, and I forget what else I went thru. She won't pass sleep study. She's got sleep apnea so machine it is. And she'll be retested. Recommend is cause she's super morbidly obese. Actually getting it and surgeon approval is another thing. Also, is she wearing the same outfit she did in video where she's crying? Was this actually filmed same day?

I get the BOGO’s at public and get our regular “staples” at walmart or target. I have that walmart plus, so I just get my groceries delivered. Target and walmart don’t up their groceries like they do when you use the other delivery services. And yes, I am in South Florida and I love it!

That's probably not fysically possible. It takes about four strong people to lift the apron to clean a person of Amber's size. To reach those parts Jade would have to hire four strong lifters to help. I don't think that's a reasonable possibility.

The month of January she lost like 12lbs. At her size to pretty much maintaine she is still consuming over 4,000 calories a day so how is she changing? To loose really nothing in the grand scheme when you weigh over 500lbs where are the changes?
To put it into perspective, after I gave birth to my first child, I was probably just under 300 (I was about 320 at my highest pregnancy weight). About a month after he was born, I joined WW and lost 17 pounds (of water probably) my first week and I kept going.

The hoops insurance make you jump through are ridiculous and each plan has different hoops--my sister's insurance made her go through a six month doctor supervised weight loss plan (paid out of pocket of course) and each time she missed just one session, they started the time over until she was like, to heck with this, and just paid out of pocket for the surgery (not many can go and do that)

I havent had weight loss surgery but my friend did. The questions were when was the last time you drank, have you had x many drinks in the past 30 days, the last time you drank did you have x many drinks. ARL is really good at only seeing what confirms her narrative and missing the rest.
Three people in my family have had WLS--lap band, which I hear is being phased out, although I can't say how true that is or not. I'd consider all three failures as none have lost what I'd consider enough weight to overset the risk of the surgery.
Good point. I think she treats Wifey so much better than she did Becky because Jade has other stuff going on. I don’t think she is as confident and secure in her love story as she wants us to believe. She doesn’t film Jade and respects her boundaries because she knows she already has one Nike out the door.
It's not that they are phasing out lap band, it's that most surgeons aren't recommending it as the results aren't the best...in other words, the risk vs rewards in the sleeve gastrectomy or gastric bypass are better than the risk rewards for the lap band. @@danivanbuskirkbeil2557 Let's see. #1 has Crohn's Disease, which you'd think would have some influence...but he manages to get himself hospitalized and on short-term disability at least once a year because he won't stick to the diet.
#2 is his wife, who won't help her husband stick to the diet and tilts the scales around 350 pounds at five foot three. I could tell you stories. Both ate their way around the lap band and I think they hit the reality of eating sensibly and...nope, not gonna happen.
#3 is #2's sister. She's better about it, not nearly as heavy, but just never made the dietary shift properly.
Then there's me. No surgery, jettisoned seventy pounds three years ago with dietary choices and some exercise, kept it off, increased the exercise, and actually ended up kinda built. All three of the above also now kinda hate me.
Im sure as hell she cried last time bc of the pressure not because she was scared of surgery just that she actually has to put the work in afterward.
It reminds me of when I was 13 year old teenager when I'd lying out of my ass saying ill do something to impress my parents with how mature and accountable I am.. but i know in my heart that I wont be able to do it and how I dont want to do it. Definitely! She has no idea what she’s in for. Once you go under the knife, you can’t undo it and the depression and anxiety will really get her when she realizes that she can’t quit this diet. I fear she will then “ do the work” and eat around her sleeve (graze on chips, eat ice cream, drink alcohol) instead of dealing with the issues that caused this.
The algorithm took me here for the first time. I usually watch a lot of reaction channels and don't mind watching ALR again to help you out. Love from Germany!
EDIT: Yeah, I have hypothyroidism and I always insist on getting copies of my lab results. It helped me so much when switching doctors.

Her story is all over the place first she went to a weight loss clinic and had a class and now a male therapist is recommending her to have weight loss surgery but she hasn't met the surgeon? I remember the last she spoke about her so-called 'therapist' it was a female and due to her pregnancy leave and that she was going to now be switching to a male one and hated it so badly. Now the therpist in the video she is currently talking about is also a male therpist and she also said in another video she was just going to go ahead and get the therapy stuff done before even attending the weight loss clinic.
My theory she went to maybe a few appointments with the male therpist her old one had/or a random one she just found and told the guy she felt misdiagnosed for over a century and why she felt that and the male therpist was like "well, I'm not seeing why you were diagnosed with that based off what we have already talked about in our few sessions so sure! I say you can have weight loss surgery" and now she's gonna go back to the weight loss clinic and be like "oh well I already did the therapy! so surgery gimmie it now!!" and then next video she's crying cause the clinic said that's not how it works.

Jade is definitely a grifter. I think she saw amberlynn has a net worth of 5 million and thought she could grab it. That's why she came in with the whole marriage bit. Once she realized amberlynn spends it as fast as she makes it she cooled off on marriage. She is just there for the free ride and I don't believe she cares if amberlynn doesn't get the surgery.

The tip for keeping all your medical records is excellent. My mom is having more medical issues and I have tried to get her to do this. But she thinks it's a silly idea and just keeps discarding every thing the doctor gives her. Then gets upset when every doctor in her city doesn't have all her records. 😔
She acts like we don't know her past, and is still not being completely honest, about the drinking. Hopefully, she will come to terms with that, and really turn it around, cause these docs are no fools. This is not going to be easy, and she has to completely change her relationship with food. I hope.

Must follow a weight management program.
Must attending a support group.

I watched ALR videos when I was over 300 pounds. But I've been 170 pounds for the past 6 years, feels like a lifetime ago.
I work in Surgical Theatres and also had WLS. She is an absolute Nightmare patient from beginning to end. 😩
I've been doing talk therapy/psychiatry for 11 years now. As I've transitioned from teenager to young adult it has been WORK. I've only started coming to the realization and confronting my SA and other past issues. Therapy is what you make of it. Sure it can be a good place to vent, but eventually if you want to get better you face the tough stuff, and have to dig deep to want to get better for you. ALR clearly has been through a lot, but IMO she uses it as content and a crutch to continue the cycle. I wish better for her but I think most of us here see the next part of the cycle coming.

But, there isn't just one person who says you're ready. You have a whole team that all need to agree. Also I cannot fathom that any doctor or specialist would think that she is ready at this point.

I don't think I've ever binge eaten. I can't even imagine doing that. Her cellulitis, lipodemia and lymphodemia are really a concern though. Those can lead to sepsis.
From a former pro-chef and nutrition nerd, the reason why you want to add your salt to veggies while they're cooking is not because it cooks out the sodium (sodium levels will not change, sodium chloride is a mineral salt it doesn't just evaporate) but because it helps to remove the water in the veggies which helps concentrate flavours and does usually mean that you have to add less salt to the dish than if you were adding all your salt at the end. It's a similar reason when you add salt to water before cooking pasta, it helps flavour the pasta all the way through meaning you need to add less salt overall at the end to get the same flavour. Just a little FYI moment 😄

Her life is one huge cycle. If she doesn't take this serious, she will lose her last chance at a normal life and probably pass on like Life By Jen.

A lot of people think that Fauxline is a feeder. I don’t think she’s trying to grow Amber, but I do believe she’s an FA. She found an easy mark with money on Instagram and went for it. She knew Amber was big and she liked that, but I don’t think she realized all the upkeep Amber needs. She is young and is probably tired of doing all the cleaning, cooking, taking care of the pets, being the chauffeur, etc along with having to be Amber’s only emotional support system. That apartment is like a deserted island and Wifey is finding that being stuck with Amber isn’t a good time. If Amber blows this I think Jade will leave because she knows that Amber will only get bigger and even more immobile as she gets older. I’ve been wondering what Wifey gets out of this relationship other than money? Amber has so many gigantic character flaws I don’t know how anyone could stand to be with her unless they are equally as messed up.

Amber can't control Jade and that's the only change in her life, I've been watching Amber for years and she hasn't changed at all. When I found out about my illness I lost 5 stone and I've never looked back. Amber on the hand does nothing but look back, there is no future in Amber's mind.
Not even trying to be funny but she she can fit into the machines if they take her to the zoo. Someone on her comments said their husband was a paramedic and they hauled bariatric patients to the zoo for MRI's and CT scans because they couldn't fit into the normal sized machines.
AL uses a weight scale made for auto parts! I bet a zoo scanner STILL WOULDNT be a wake up call for her. 🥴🥴🥴

I dont really think amber has Binge eating disorder, I feel like bed kind of requires some period of not eating, followed by a Binge. Say you don't eat lunch at school, but come home and eat 95% the family sized box of cheeseits or oreos.

I feel like I'm the only one who thinks this whole "weight loss surgery" situation type deal is fabricated. She's probably just watching WLS vlogs. Amberlynn the narc would never miss an opportunity to shove it in our faces that she CAN indeed lose weight and do it all on her own and that WE were oh so wrong. If any of this were true, we would've 100% seen a travel vlog by now.

I honestly believe Amber sees Tammy's surgery and progress and thinks she can snap her fingers and get it. She doesn't realize that with someone on reality tv (like biggest loser, my 600lbs life) the producers push those people into extreme situations to produce results faster for tv. Amy got her surgery fast and never really dealt with her food stuff. We saw her gaining weight fast and using pregnancy as an excuse. Also a lot of tv contestants gain the weight back.
If you watch videos of people who have actually done the work on their own and kept the weight off, their mindset completely changed from when they were obese. I don't see that with Amber. She's more like a reality tv contestant who's going to have major consequences for rushing the surgery.

She will need sleep study, maybe more then 1x if sleep apnea is detected.
Stress test walking on treadmill for a few min, ekg, labs a few times,,psy, family doc, dietician, and I forget what else I went thru. She won't pass sleep study. She's got sleep apnea so machine it is. And she'll be retested.
Recommend is cause she's super morbidly obese. Actually getting it and surgeon approval is another thing.
Also, is she wearing the same outfit she did in video where she's crying? Was this actually filmed same day?

I get the BOGO’s at public and get our regular “staples” at walmart or target. I have that walmart plus, so I just get my groceries delivered. Target and walmart don’t up their groceries like they do when you use the other delivery services. And yes, I am in South Florida and I love it!

That's probably not fysically possible. It takes about four strong people to lift the apron to clean a person of Amber's size. To reach those parts Jade would have to hire four strong lifters to help. I don't think that's a reasonable possibility.

The month of January she lost like 12lbs. At her size to pretty much maintaine she is still consuming over 4,000 calories a day so how is she changing? To loose really nothing in the grand scheme when you weigh over 500lbs where are the changes?
To put it into perspective, after I gave birth to my first child, I was probably just under 300 (I was about 320 at my highest pregnancy weight). About a month after he was born, I joined WW and lost 17 pounds (of water probably) my first week and I kept going.

So another thing I'm thinking about. This girl tells us she makes over 10,000 a month yet like can't get the right hea care for actual needs?
I mean, she can't seem to buy the right shoes, but unlike her Walmart shoes her health care can be purchased to actually fit what she needs in her price point.
She did all this research of the dumbest shi't over the years yet health-care was a well, this is 650 a month, I'll pick this one choice?
And she said she wanted this surgery and rechose her insurance again during open season. All she had to do was call surgery center and ask which insurance they take, which clearly she didn't, when they asked about her insurance and then she did, im self pay.
It just doesn't add up. She is self pay cause she found out it's less on her to do and less hoops to jump thru to get surgery.
Exactly! The hoops insurance make you jump through are ridiculous and each plan has different hoops--my sister's insurance made her go through a six month doctor supervised weight loss plan (paid out of pocket of course) and each time she missed just one session, they started the time over until she was like, to heck with this, and just paid out of pocket for the surgery (not many can go and do that)
She will binge right through her stitches…
