And I'm fairly sure he did the same with a trash green before that. When we called him out on it, he pulled the entire next room, iceblocked and hearthed. We all wanted to murder him slowly. Someone else in the group managed to find his GM and I found out the next day from the GM personally that he was kicked out for that douchery. Unfortunately there is no guide in game on how to deal with loot drops. People typically learn from others screaming at them when they've done something wrong. Which is why low level dungeons with strangers blow so much.

Our tank was waaaaaaay overgeared for the raid but tagged along for a single item, I was reluctant to just promise it to him outright but he rolled high anyway when push came to shove so it all worked out! _The other warrior passed on it as he had already got some pretty decent loot. Nice guys all round!_ But he was out rolled by a Greenie rogue because that tank item was "better than what he had currently", he cried, threatened to have me banned and stood in stormwind for hours yelling how BM I was and not to join the PuG raid I was creating beside him.. Mission complete. Master PuGs or go home. _Cool story bro._

Azurren Yea, but see, with the 6.2 patch, this becomes irrelevant with the changes to personal loot. Personal loot is gonna be every bit as good as Master Loot, and it'll save time, not having to wait for group lead to distribute loot. Can't wait till 6.2 hits tomorrow.
Shawn Christensen I'll take your word for it as I haven't played WoW since WotLK came out :3 But distributing loot never took that long as bosses rarely dropped much of value. What took the most time is after downing the boss was deciding whether or not we could skip the next boss, which boss to do first or if we had enough DPS / healing / offtanks to finish the raid. :P _The glory of PuGs without voice comms_

I remember running Dragon Soul 25 man. We just downed the final boss and two of the polearms dropped that were perfect for hunters and druids (back when hunters used 2 weapons). Anyway it was only me and another hunter in that raid that didn't have it, but we were outrolled by two balance druids who wanted it for their offspec. I was livid.
It burns, man! The pain is just too much! I had so many encounters with these type of guys. I reported them for ninja looting, but still justice was not served. And it is and nowadays!
My worst was back during WotLK on my Rogue. We were doing that blackwing raid with the three drakes and this incredible melee dps trinket dropped. I rolled something like a winning 95 and lost my shit. Then the OT gets up and rolls a 96 at the last second because he "liked to offspec DPS sometimes" (this was before dualspec btw). It was already a understood rule in the raid that you roll your role. But it just so happened the leader knew the guy and gave it to him anyway. I was so crushed.
Happened to a friend of mine back in the day, he was tanking Stratholme with me on his prot warrior when the Skullflame Greatshield dropped. Extremely excited, he proceeded to need on it...only to be beaten by the shaman.
